DIS oldtimers (well newtimers too) where are you?

I was on an AOL board forEVER... Like 96 until a Yahoo group was formed for us all....

I met a bunch of them in like 99 at WDW - I wonder about them all often!

I sometimes posted on RADP - (is that still around?) ANd there was another one .... I remember a guy who posted on there who was drawing for a new cartoon on Nick - Jimmy Neutron, and was REALLY hoping it would take off...

I wonder about all those people often.

Oh I remember RADP. Wasn't it kind of a "risky" place to go?? My name has been the same since 1999. I can only think of one other Cathy (or Cathryn) at this time of night (it is past my bedtime). Could you be the one from Canada??

RADP is still going. I still read...since 1997, but don't post much there.

RADP is still going strong but I only read it now. When RADP started getting nasty I switched to IRC chat for awhile. It was a neat way to chat with DebW, MeliOGirl and others. That was fun but I couldn't stay up late so had to quit the chats. Meanwhile The DIS took off during the day. I think that was '97 '98 not sure. I've been here since. The DIS has had many crashes over the years. I've lost huge post counts which makes me look like a non poster. Even re-joined changing my name from Glinda aka Good Witch Of The Northeast.

Neat thread! Yes, back when I joined DIS I really did a lot of posting, and lost all my posts in TWO crashes--one of them, I believe, was referred to as "The BIG ONE." I haven't posted as much the last few years, but I do try to visit often!

Now it was 4 years ago this month that I graduated! I turned 25 this past October. I still can't believe it.

I joined back in 2001, so I suppose that counts as an "old timer" here. I go through spurts where I post a lot, then I got back to lurking for a while. I also have a thin skin and get miffed when I kill a thread (which happens a lot) or when somebody posts the exact same answer to a question I just posted 20 minutes ago, as if I were invisible. I've learned over time not to take those things personally, especially on a board this big, but it's those little things that put me off posting now and then. I've definitely been more active the last few months.
