Dis Network of rivers???

...Some other ppls names I can type, and some I can't.

It seems that it will not let you type any names that have capital letters in them. All names in lower case seem to be OK.

If it stays that way most of my food clones are useless. The only two that don't have capitals are briecheese and macncheeses.

I accidentally typed a coummunity leader's name with lower case letters and it came out on the screen, about 2 days ago.

But someone said it only took them 10 minutes and I'm thinking how the heck can that be? It seemed like it was taking me forever .

I know at the beginning of the morning yesterday, it took me around 10 minutes or so to ride through the system. Now, I have no clue, because everytime I get on... a new room(s) have been added.

The funny thing was, it seemed like each room I went through, I was passing someone up in the course, so I am probably not a good person to keep track of the times. Guess I have just been lucky with my connections and loading times.

And the question is still ringing in my ears from when in every room, I "found the shorcut in the track while riding through the tunnel teleporter"... How did you get ahead of me??? lol

Yeah there is a lot of passing going on now. i think it is because some people are clicking on their logs and speeding them up, while others are not. Sometimes this results in one person being bumped to the door of the next room, but sometimes the timing is such that people actually pass each other in mid teleport. weird huh? lol


There should be another room in my gaggle of rooms on the network tonight.
This one is going to be fun, with a little surprise at the end.

Taking a little longer to complete than i thought it would since the final price tag came in at 29,500 credits lol. But it should be done by this afternoon, so let me know what y'all think of it.

This happens to me very often, where I enter the room's exit teleporter before someone else, but come out in the next room behind.

I suspect strongly that it's because of my slower room loading time.

We have a problem with the network. In the 'cat herders river ride-start room, you are kicked off because the next room has the friends only selected. Could everyone please check your rooms.

btw, the new room is in the loop now, i placed it just after my christmas room.

You don't need to. I went out and found an online stopwatch this week because I wanted to time how long it took to make a mule and have him trade with me. ~Weird, I know~

Actually that is not weird at all. Or maybe it is, b/c I consider myself to be weird. I use the system clock on my computer to time mule-making. It takes about 10 minutes to get all the credits for me, I do not count buying and trading to main character.

Alright, I finished up a room and would like to connect it to the river network, so how would I go about doing this?

Find anybody on the current river network, and swap beginning teleporters. ie your start teleporter for theirs, and place it at your start point (and they need to do the same quickly). Your room(s) will now be right BEFORE theirs on the network.

i just got the boot, but there are others in right now. just find one of em.

I made my sixth and probably last room and connected to the network today. I hope everyone likes it because it literally took me ALL DAY. I know that is sad, but I had to buy about 300 crates for my original idea (the blueprints changed three times) and now I'm left with a bunch of brown crates. Not to mention buying the river stuff. Mules, mules, mules. I don't think it's the best room in the network by far, but I feel it is my greatest VMK room achievment (since I stink at decorating). Here is what it looks like:



I used two teleporters back to back to make a sort of tunnel than you also go underneath. I wish VMK would have made a bridge type thing so we could go over and under. Wouldn't that be cool?

NO. Absolutely not. I am sorry, but this is unforgivable. You ARE a mule, and I can't believe you, of all people, would have the audacity to do something so stupid and inconvenient for all of us. You should be disowned by everyone on DIS, pardon the pun. Oh yeah, and besides that:

Oh, by the way. Are we ever going to set up a team for "audio-animatronic" characters to act as scenery for the various rooms in the ride? I like that idea and I really wanna do it! I just wish there was a pirate costume (other than the silly magic pin) for the skull rock and cannon rooms. I could stand there for hours saying "a pirate's life for me" and "ahoy, matey"! While waving like a robot as people go by. What fun! Especially for the kids, and non-DIS people for whom it would be a complete surprise. Who's in? Quick, before I get a job again!

I saw this post before but did not take time to go see the online stopwatch until now. It's really awesome! Since you can log times automatically, you can even time individual rooms! Neato! Cat, I have not seen your rooms yet. My mules and I spent every possible moment working on my latest ride room (pic above) all day today. I will see them tomorrow night if we come home from WDW early, or on Sunday.

Also, 2 other things I wanted to say:

Someone, I believe BobRichmond, said that names with caps cannot be said. I have said names with caps, but they come up in the speech bubble in all lower case . I still cannot say my own name, it does not even come up as miakoda instead of Miakoda, it comes up as ###. Same when CoughCoolGhoul types it. I can say his name! hope it's fixed soon, I really wanna put my title in my room name so ppl know they are mine (sorry but I like getting credit, even for my lame-o rooms. I always check to see who owns each room, and I have ridden so many times I can usually remember whose room it is even if their name is not in title!)

Another thing, someone mentioned "clicking logs to make them go faster". Does this work? never heard of this until now...

I have been thinking the same thing for a while now too... i was even wishing that we could put river pieces on like the torches that we can buy. Because I wanted one of my rooms to have the river flowing above the actual room and activities that way the people could ride by almost looking down upon what is going on below (ala the People Mover/Tomorrowland Transit System at WDW.) I know i could still kind of do this with the "crate system", but I just wish there was a way to remove those pesky bottom crates and leave room to put other stuff that would then become useable down below. Guess only will tell!!
