MK to capacity when it wasn't expected. It was body to body from castle to almost Tony's to leave at 8:15. It took 30 min to get through it. MK decided by 3 to stay open an extra hour bc of crowd. It was a nightmare. Next Oct we will stick to only going to MK during MNSSHP. We are now sitting at BLT Top of the World Lounge watching Wishes.

DD celebrated her 7th Birthday today. She had a sleepover with three of her friends, they were up until 1am. This has made me rethink the idea of another sleepover anytime soon. DH took DS to a hockey game last night. He claims it was for Evan's sake but I think he didn't want to be in the house with 4 girls.

Evan turns 5 tomorrow. We are taking him and 8 of his friends to a local bounce house place for his birthday. I am sure I will be exhausted afterwards but at least I don't have to clean up after them.

Hey Ladies!

I thought it was time to bring our thread up to the top again, and see how everyone survived the holidays. :santa:

We had a good Thanksgiving and Christmas. My in-laws came for a visit, which actually went really well. They were only here for about 1 1/2 days, I'm sure that helped! :lmao: There have been some difficult times between Dmom-in-law, but once her mom-in-law moved in with them for 6 months she did a 180. I think she finally saw what she was doing to her DD-in-laws. :rotfl: For Christmas we went to DH's cousins house and had a great time.

We only have 60 days left till we start our road trip to our new home in New Orleans! :scared1: The movers will be here in 53 days to pack us up. I have no idea where the time has gone...

I hope everyone has a great week!

Happy New Year!!!

The month leading up to Christmas was rocky for us. We learned that DS (7) has a severe intolerance to both Gluten & Dairy. So much for holiday cookies and treats. He has been such a good sport through the whole thing, although I think he is still mourning his favorite foods. We have noticed that he has regressed to sucking his thumb again and that worries us a little.

Other than that we had a great holiday season skiing in the Rockies and now it is back to life as usual. I am getting anxious for the Princess 1/2 Marathon in just 41 DAYS!!! I am training hard, but the thought is still daunting! princess:

Hi Everyone! Glad to see this thread back. I was looking for it and couldn't find it. Our holidays were great. For Thanksgiving we were in Mass. with DH's grandfather and cousins. So glad we went. His grandfather passed away Jan. 4. Christmas was GREAT! My little brother (ok he's 32, but still my baby brother) and his wife and my oh so cute niece surprised us all by coming home from Canada for Christmas. New Years was quiet. DH worked I stayed home and watched the ball drop.

Next big thing is the Princess Half Marathon! princess:

Hello everyone! I'm Krystalynn. I was active on the boards for a while but have been off due to the pregnancy/new baby. I've been back on lately since we'll be back at the parks soon. We visit pretty frequently since we live quite close to Orlando.
I have a 3yo DD and 3wk DS! I'm planning on a trip in March for DD's birthday so that will be my son's first trip, I'm pretty excited, even though he won't remember it. :)

Hello DISMoms! Sorry I have been MIA. We were out of town for a week and since we got home we have been getting ready for school. My kids go back on Monday.:banana: It has also been an emotional week for me. We found out last Monday that my DS has Aspergers. It was news that I was expecting, but I found that I was not quite as ready to hear it as I thought I would be. I have taken this week to adapt to the news and on Tuesday I will start researching and finding out what our next steps will be. (Please don't mention this on FB. We are not ready for that yet.)

I'm sorry to hear about your dear DS, it is a tough pill to swallow. If you haven't already I would recommend checking out stark.raving.mad.mommy on Facebook. She is a friend of mine whose 5yo was diagnosed with Aspergers last year. Her blog is hilarious (not just about Aspergers) and the best part is all her followers who give great advice, tips & resources for dealing with it all. She is just as awesome in person. At least maybe you could get a laugh when you feel like falling apart. Good Luck!

Hi, I'm a late-comer to this thread but would love to introduce myself and join in anyway! I'm Alicia (31), DH-Wes (32), DS-Trevante (12), and DD-Auvrey (6). Our last trip to WDW was in May 2011, seems sooooooo long ago! We are planning a trip for October 13-20 of this year! Can't wait!
We've only stayed onsite once, and that was at POR. It was gorgeous, but I didn't enjoy all of the additional walking.
We live in Columbia, MO...and we're planning to drive to WDW for the first time this year!
We've never had a character meal or dined at a fancy resort restaurant. The only table restaurant we have tried was Liberty Tree Tavern in MK. We ate upstairs, and it was such a great spot to cool off and recharge!
When I'm not at WDW, I work as office support for a busy Autism research facility, and during the week-end I provide overnight in-home care for elderly with dementia and Alz. I stay busy!
DS plays baseball and loves online games and Star Wars! DD still enjoys her dolls, and her favorite thing is playing house!
My favorite character is Belle, DD-Snow White, DS-Jack Sparrow, and DH-Wall-E.
DH and I have been married for 9 years this June, and we are planning an adults only trip to WDW for our 10th anniversary in 2013! :thumbsup2

I am completely, 100% in love with all things Disney...I talk about it every day, read these boards every day, and dream about it every night! :rotfl:
