I am still the youngest at the cardiologist waiting room. I ran into a friend but he is about 5 years older. I am SO bored. I would hate to have me as a patient. I wish the dr would hurry up. Tick tock tick tock. Sounds like Peter Pans Crocodile in my head. Yes, I'm at the cardiologist not a psychiatrist office! :rotfl2:

My oldest DD & I are walking w/ my dad tomorrow at the Evansville, IN Race for the Cure 5k. My dad's oldest sister had breast cancer twice and it manifested into brain cancer and she passed away 5 years ago. His youngest sister had breast cancer a couple of years ago. We look forward to the race tomorrow.

Good luck. All 4 of us are doing the one in Milwaukee on Sunday. I hope to make the whole thing. Have not been feeling great during this pregnancy so maybe a little fresh air will help. Barry's mom fought breast cancer at the age of 59 and won. I lost an aunt to it about 10 years ago, she was in her early 40's.

How did it go for you all?

It rained and rained and rained. Did I say it rained? My dad left his house to pick us up at 5:00a.m. & arrived at my house at 5:30a.m. We arrived there at 6:45 a.m. It poured the entire drive and walk to registration. We went back to the truck to wait for it to stop and put our shirts on over our already moist shirts. A non dx ADHD 9 year old can dismantle a 2011 quad cab full size GMC truck in less than 30 minutes of waiting for the rain to subside. It was still raining but we had to get out for our sanity. Jolee then began filling a free reusable WalMart bag with free loot like a mad woman. My dad & I were laughing. They gave out samples of Caltrate and she kept putting them in the bag. After her freebie shopping spree the rain came down in buckets. We finally threw in the towel 15 minutes before the race. We went to breakfast drenched. For the next few hours it went from steady rain to mini monsoons. We then went home. When we got home Jolee begged for a Caltrate. No kdding. I gave her a Flintstone instead. 14,000 showed up, down 4,000 from years past. I hope it was drier for you.

Sorry you were not able to do the race, maybe next year.

The rain held out for us. Barry ran the race. I walked with the kids. We did the 1.4 mile because we were all exhausted at that point and needed it to be done. We were able to hang out at the kids tent where Madison got her hair painted pink and both kids had their face painted. Evan played a ton of games and won a bunch of cheap prizes but he was happy. After we ate the gigantic pink sugar cookie we left and as we were getting in the van it started to rain.

This was the first year we had done it and I will do it again. Milwaukee does a great job for the event.

Let's talk!

I can talk. I can always talk. The men "chat" more because they have nothing important to say and the do a lot of male bonding over crazy things on that board.

We leave for Disney October 28. We won't spend much time there because we are going on our first Disney cruise. :cool1: We will stay a night a Vero Beach and then one night at WDW. The next time I get to go to WDW and actually spend time there is not until next August. :sad2: We were going to do a trip in March but then we had a little surprise that is coming a few weeks after our planned trip. When we go in August it will be for a friends wedding. I am so excited to have be going to a wedding at WDW.

We are DVC members, easily the best purchase we have ever made. My favorite is Beach Club but we also love AKL.

We have two kids. Madison is 6, almost 7, and Evan is 4, almost 5. We live in Wisconsin. Not by choice but by birth and then by force. Barry refuses to move. I have threatened divorce if he does not move to FL but then I remember I would be raising these kids on my own and I suck it up. I hate that winter is coming. :sad1: I am 32 and a social worker. Recently had a job change from Child Protective Service to Prevention. I am thrilled with the switch.

My fav WDW restaurant is O'hana. Actually it is all of our favorites. Madison discovered she can eat more than chicken nuggets and like it. Now this is a must go to every trip.

My fav ice cream is really any that is in front of me but there is a mid-west restaurant that has the creamiest chocolate ice cream.

Kids activities depend on the time of year. Currently they are in swimming and ice skating. Madison also does dance and Evan is in t-ball. Evan will be my little athlete and that terrifies me. We go to football games and I look at the men and think they are big and can take this but I know when that is my little boy out there I am going to be a nervous wreak.

My fav character?? Ummmmm that may be really hard. Okay it's not. Eeyore.

Movies?? Let's see I have not done a movie in forever unless you count Cars 2 and The Smurfs. Right now I really don't have a favorite movie.

Marital status: I am married to freezinrafiki aka Barry. He is a character himself.

Can safely say that I never watched All My Children.

I invaded Disdads to say Happy Birthday to my DH! I also claimed page ownage for his birthday!!

I'll try and get us going again with a question. We are flying in only 15 days. What kind of toys, activities should I take for my 13 month old. He is walking, and will be sitting in his own seat.

Right now I have a tentative list of Pal Mickey, coloring book & crayons, probably a car of some kind. I'll also have the standard diapers, wipes, sippy cup, applesauce, goldfish, change of clothes.

Our standard toys at that age was Little People, her fave doll & teddy, one of the cheap bendable toys you usually see them as a bunny at Easter in the basket fillers at Walmart but ours was Gippedo, & a dinosaur water gun from the kids meal at AK. New book that's she has never heard. Apple Jacks, my girls only got those on trips when they were that age. Now we have to bring electronic games......

Hello everyone!!

My name is Debra. I am a SAHM. DH, Bo is a college volleyball coach & teacher. He has decided to resign from coaching at the end of this season and just focus on teaching & working on his doctorate. I'm excited for this change b/c it will give him more time at home, more time with the kids, and yes, selfishly...more time for WDW :rotfl2:

We have 4 kiddos...Oldest DS, Hunter, age 9. He LOVES soccer and works really hard to become a better player. This is his 6th year playing. He has been working all summer at goalkeeping and was so excited to be starting goalie this fall. He loves Disney and pretty much every day still talks about his first trip there.

DD, Harper, age 8. She LOVES dance. She is currently in her 6th year of dance. She also loves any and everything Disney!

DS, Jaxon, age 2. He is a sweet, sweet boy. He has speech delay and has been working with a speech therapist for about 8 mo now, it has made such a huge difference. He LOVES Toy Story...Buzz, Woody, Jessie.

DS, Evan, age 1. My little baby. He also was recently found to have speech delay and several other developmental delays. He is working with the same speech therapist as Jaxon. He also recently has developed seizures, so we are being referred to a neurologist.

Now, about WDW...we took Hunter and Harper for their 1st trip (also DH 1st trip...I went years ago w/ friends). We went for 5 nts and stayed at CBR. The kids loved it. DH said when we booked that "this will be our only trip to WDW". Lets just say we hadnt even made it back to the airport on ME before HE was planning on when we would go back :rotfl: Hunter and Harper still talk about that trip ALL the time! OH, did I mention I was in my last trimester w/ Jaxon on that trip?! This was Aug 2008.

We told the kids a few months later we would go back to WDW at Christmas when Jaxon was 4 (so, Dec 2012). A few months after we had Jaxon, we found out we were pregnant with Evan. We told the kids we would still do the Christmas trip. SO...we waited for what seemed like an eternity for our 499 day window to open up and we booked this past Aug for Dec 2012. Staying at BWI for 7nts :thumbsup2

What Hunter & Harper DONT know...we have ANOTHER trip planned, for NEXT Oct to go to MNSSHP over fall break. Just a quick trip, 3nts staying at AoA. It didnt really take much convincing on my part to get DH to agree to this.

Ok, so thats me in a nutshell...we love Disney and would totally go more often if we could :)
