Dis Mom's Club?

My DH and I are expecting our third child sometime in March. It was a little surprise but nothing that the excitement didn't overcome. Do you think a 2 month old would enjoy the caves and we could just go when school is out?:confused3

Either way the little one will get their first taste of Disney early as we are going to a Disney wedding in August 2012. Expose them young and often that's my belief.

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

 YEAH!! COngratulations!!

By the way, I say go to the caves...but then, we were there before children so I may be clueless. :confused3

Hey Dismoms!
Not sure why I am on the dis again, probably 'cause it's my favorite hiding place! And I'm not sure why I save so many things for the last 2 weeks of summer vacation...
I always plan eye, dentist, doctor checkups right before school starts and they all ended up to be this week :confused3...what was I thinking?? Plus I made appt. for haircuts and we have dance registration night, Scouts soap-box derby, planning meeting for Sunday School kick-off, and AWANA fun-night this week. We're going camping this weekend and I start my college classes tomorrow. We bought a new van yesterday. And I am still organizing for a garage sale I am doing with 6 friends on Labor Day wknd. ( -this is my brain---> :scared1: )

And so why am I here? This is my happy place... As I told someone yesterday, when I am sitting in the dentist chair, I simply close my eyes and I am walking down mainstreet, holding my princess's hand, heading toward the castle...DS eating a Mickey bar....

Sooo..... what do you have going on this week?

Hello DISMoms! Sorry I have been MIA. We were out of town for a week and since we got home we have been getting ready for school. My kids go back on Monday.:banana: It has also been an emotional week for me. We found out last Monday that my DS has Aspergers. It was news that I was expecting, but I found that I was not quite as ready to hear it as I thought I would be. I have taken this week to adapt to the news and on Tuesday I will start researching and finding out what our next steps will be. (Please don't mention this on FB. We are not ready for that yet.)

i am sorry.

Thank you

I don't have a problem going to the caves, if I can get my husband to agree. This is the third child. Chances are He/She will be in lots of places that I would not have dared to bring the other two to. My kids love the farm not a place I would have taken my daughter when she was born, I see us going several times the summer this one is born.

:grouphug: Taryn! I'm so sorry to hear about your DS!

Taryn, Sorry to hear about your son. I know several people who's children have been diagnosed. The parents always seem to do best when they have a good support system. Your son will do well as he has you our there advocating for him.

Turns out I will not be running in the Princess half in Feb. nor going to the Mammoth Caves in March. But it is all for a good cause. My DH and I are expecting our third child sometime in March. Congrats! We'll miss you at the Princess. Hopefully the DisMom Princess half will become a yearly meet and you can make 2013!

Just popping in to say hello ladies!! This new job is cutting in on my Disboards time!! :rotfl2: Have a great day!!

We just got home from the Dragon Boat Festival. Small but lots of fun. I had no idea how many families of Chinese decent we had in our city or how many I knew. This was the 2nd annual and I look foward to next year.

That sounds like a great time!

I would have loved to do that today!

We are hunkered down waiting out Irene today... Its getting pretty bad out here, I can just imagine what the coast is going through! I'm taking this as a sign that we are going to be moving to New Orleans later this year... :goodvibes Right before we moved here, we got a "huge" snow storm in Portland, Or and our first winter here was 2009 and we had 3 blizzards. My family on the West Coast teases us that they are going to kick us out once they realize we are what is bringing all the record breaking weather. We were told it doesn't really snow in DC, 100 degree days are rare and there is never earthquakes, tornadoes or hurricanes... We have broken numerous records for most of those and we've experienced all the them at least once... It has definitely been an experience living on the East Coast, I can say that for sure.

I hope everyone that is in Irene's path are staying safe!

No offense but the south doesn't need you to relocate. NO can not handle another Katrina. I live in KY and Ike took the roof off my house and then an ice storm almost destroyed my city. Also, please don't move to Orlando.

Just teasing you. What doesn't kills us makes us stronger.

I hope you are safe & it doesn't harm anyone. May God be with you.

:rotfl: I wouldn't want us to move anywhere near me either! I'm just hoping this is the end of our "bad weather luck."

Since it does sound like you do indeed bring all the bad weather with you, please don't move to New Orleans. I'm in south Louisiana & have enjoyed being "hurricane-free" the last couple of years. Just kidding! :rotfl: We will accept you with open arms...even if you have some sort of weather voodoo hex on you! :lmao: If y'all do move down here, get ready to eat! We have the best food here! :cloud9:

Our anniversary is Friday but DH brought be a dozen pink roses two days early so I could shoe them off at work. Yes, I am that petty. I work w/ a bunch of "mean girls" so every once in a while I like to be snotty. They were beautiful & a total surprise! I love my DH!

And when I brought them to her, she asked who they were from. Stay off our thread. Happy Anniversary. <3 U
