Dis Mom's Club?

Thanks DisDads:wave2:!

Happy Mudda's day to all the Dis Moms (my baby says mudda) :rotfl::cutie:

Hope all the Dis Moms had a great and relaxing Mother's Day. Thanks Dis Dads for the well wishes.

I hope all of you Dis Moms had a great mothers day yesterday. Sorry I was not on yesterday to wish you a happy day, but I was thinking of you all yesterday as the kids and I spent the day with our special mom.

You guys are lucky! We have till June 13. But they start half days on the 8th. I'm hoping then this homework dictator can start summer vacation!

:wave2: Hi everyone! I'm Mandi, my DH Nolan and I have 2 awesome kids. DD, Rorie, will be 3 August 14th and DS, Nolan, just turned 5 months.

We have been together over 10 years, married 5. Our son was born with Bilateral Club Feet and is being successfully treated by the awesome people at Shriner's Children's Hospital :goodvibes

My husband and I have gone to WDW several times. We have visited all of the parks. It has been quite a few years. Haven't been since before the kiddies. As seen by the ticker we are taking the kids for our DD's 3rd B-day. I'm sure this will just be the first of MANY trips to come!

Good Morning Ladies! And Happy belated Mother's day :flower3:

Friday is the last day of school here and we go back Aug. 10th. But we've been homeschooling since April when we moved to New Orleans and my oldest dd will be doing online school for this coming year. The biggest adjustment will be my baby going to full day kindergarten :sad1: Not sure what I'm going to do with myself all day with him at school...

Are any of you ladies running the Princess Half in 2013? I'm thinking about it, since I really wanted to this year but the move got in the way. My only problem with 2013 maybe DBIL's wedding. They are looking at Jan/Feb, so I'm hoping they won't pick the weekend of the princess: 1/2. DMIL is the planner, so I'm going to ask her and see where everyone's heads are at.

Off to do some arts and crafts with my Monster.

Yayy this is my first official post on the Dis :cheer2:. I figured what better way to start then the Dis Mom's Club.

Hi everybody I am Amy. I am from NY, living in a small little town that is barely on a map. I graduated from college with my BS in psychology last year and am trying to do the whole masters thing soon. It has been a long time since I have been to Disney, 8 years and I was pretty young then. But planning our trip for August has become a slight obsession and I'm forseeing a lot of Disney in our future.

I am a single mom to my DD5 Kaylin, who we call Kay. She is a very energetic little girl who keeps me on my toes. She just turned 5 and is so excited for our upcoming trip. I have been telling her since she was 2 that she gets to go to DW when she is a big 5 year old. She play soccer and is finishing up pre-k. Kay can go from princess to tomboy in the blink of an eye depending what mood she is in. She also has a attitude that I think can rival any 13 year old girl somedays.

I am really excited to join this thread and have loved reading all the prior posts !!

We don't go back until the Tuesday or Wednesday after Labor Day. It just sounds so crazy to be going to school in August!

August is too early. It's the hottest month of the year. The community pool opens this weekend & closes the weekend before the kids return. But, the complaints fall on deaf ears. We do get two weeks at Christmas, one week in October & April, 3 days at Thanksgiving, Labor Day, election day in November, MLK Day in January, two to three days in February, and one day in March. So, we are out quite often. When I was growing up we were out prior to Memorial Day and after Labor Day but by the time I graduated we were out around Memorial Day & went back the third week of August w/ no week in October. KY was one of the bottom states in the nation and it hasn't gotten any better. I grew up in one of the average public school systems and my children go to one of the highest ranking public schools. My children did go to a private school that was no better academically than their current school. My dh went to an excellent high school nation wide and they had a better schedule. So, I think KY needs to be looking at what needs to be fixed rather than attendance for so many days so they are reimbursed federal dollars.

Stepping off my soap box now! I'm sitting in court for work board out of my mind waiting for my case to be called so I'm enjoying the boards today!!

What I don't understand is the pools and waterparks in LA not opening till Memorial day weekend and closing Labor day... They could at least be open on the weekends starting March/April and in Sept. We're not allowed to have pools on base in our yards, no matter what the size, so for the most part we stay indoors because its so hot. I'm hoping as time goes by we'll get used to the heat but for now we're roasting.

I like the heat but I'm w/ you about the pool. My SIL is from PA & the KY heat kills her. This is her 5th year living here. My parents & I freeze at their house.

Hello from sunny CA! I am Jessica. Wife to SoundGuy, Jeff. Momma to DD 2 Sarah. We are AP at Land and Disney fanatics! We are going to World at the end of August, 24th-Sept 4th to be exact. Staying at POP for the first time. This is our 3rd trip to World and DD 2nd. We are so excited to take her since she was only 9 months old last time. She loves all things Disney. She knows tons of characters, likes us to talk in their voices, watch Disney movies, knows her favorite rides and will ask to go on them. She is our joy and long awaited miracle from God.

We go to Land often. Dec, Feb, upcoming trips in July & Sept. If we lived a little closer we would probably go more often. We are not sure if we will renew next year due to the increase in price and DD will be 3.

We have quite the Disney movie collection and are in the DMC as well as DMR and have recently gotten Disney Visa cards with $200 gift card offers!! I loved the 0% APR for 6months too on the vacation package. ;0)

We wear Disney shirts every day we are there and sometimes at home as well. My DD could probably wear Disney for 3 weeks straight. Yeah, we are a tad obsessed! ;0)

Not obsessed...BRILLIANT! WELCOME!!

I also forgot to mention that we are huge pinners! ;0) We have a binder full and our DD 2 loves looking at them. She even has her own page! We always get a year dated pin and something of special significance to that trip. Then ever so often we buy a lot of 100 on ebay and trad like crazy people. ;0) We love it when kids ask to trade with us and when we give kids pins. The parents are usually taken aback. Its fun to bless others!

I regret to inform all of you WDW lover's....The monorail track is no longer. Our pseudo WDW made up of Epcot, Castle, Contemporary, Monorail, & tracks plus a DL landmark of Sleeping Beauty Castle had an earth shaking moment. I tripped and took out the monorail track. I feel horrible about the track. I am also sporting a knotty knee w/ an icepack and an 8 inch scrape on the other leg smothered in antibacterial ointment.
