Dis meet?

Hi Carol,

1st April is a yes from me :thumbsup2

Cant wait. London is a fab place. Are children invited? I might see if I can get a sitter. I might take my dd Casey with me if kids can come. She will love the trip to London.

Any venues. I cant really think of the top of my head. PH is ok. I think it needs a re-vamp there on the last trip I noticed it needed some updating. You have Hard Rock Cafe. Rainforest Cafe is small and the menu is minimal. We can just meat up at a pub and have lunch there. I dont mind. There are so many places in London.

Anyone have any ideas?

1st April suits me!! I dont mind where we go! Although if we get a reasonable size amount of people places like Rainforest have private rooms!

Hi

I never knew that. Are the rooms still themed? We have been there twice it was a few years ago.

1st April sounds good. Personally, I would prefer NOT to do London but, if the majority would prefer it, then I'm happy to go with that.

I quite liked Tony's idea about Tony Roma's personally - where is Kingston-upon-Thames (I am crap at Geography :rotfl: )

1st is good for me.

Kingston upon Thames is in South West ish London on the outskirts.

Ok, so it seems that 1st April sounds ok, I will reiterate that I'm happy to sort cheap rail tickets for people, but I have no idea as to venue so will need to leave that to someone else. As for children going, I've no problem with that but obviously its up to the venue!

as someone who will have to get up at the crack of dawn to make it to London for 11:00 - 12:00 I know how difficult it'll be.

Joh, Kaylee, Alan etc, pm me for rail details if you want me to sort them for you

Well if it is in central london I can use my season ticket and thus it won't cost me anything which is always good! :cutie:

I am hoping that I can get a sitter. It will be good for us to get a break as well.

If kids can come is anyone bringing thier children. I dont want to be the only one.

I won't bring Callum - he thinks my 'DIS thing' is weird anyway, and I do feel slightly hypocritical warning him against internet chat rooms and then marching off to meet you bunch of psychopathic nutters

Carol, you would be more than welcome to travel up the day before and stay with us overnight if you like :)

London is out for me :( Too far to travel in one day.

Should we put it to the vote Kaylee - Bristol or London. Personally, it makes no odds to me as I'm pretty much in the middle but those who would have to travel further should really get a say too.

OK, so a quick show of hands then - Bristol or London? (just the one word will suffice ;) )

We went to Tony Romas New Years Eve and the Good was great and Lets just say the portions are US sized.:goodvibes It is on the outskirts of london but has a train station and if you are going for a Sunday Meet the Car Parking is cheap enough. They are also happy with large parties ( there was a party of students in of about 25 poeple while we were there.)and they have no problem with children. If everyone is in agreement I can give them a call with numbers and see what they say???

Bristol :)

Bristol

If only because I would drive there, I have no objections to London but am concerned about getting to KX then trecking to the otherside to meet then doing it all backwards. If the venue was more central London I would feel more comfortable

April 1st is good for me

:yay:
