DIS Meet Dec 8 07

Needs words of encouragement.

Stefanie:

:guilty: I'm so sorry. Like Beth mentioned, maybe check if he's at the Dog Pound and/or put up Missing signs. Our kids love our dog, JJ. I don't know how they would react if something happened to him. Maybe, involve the kids in his search. That way, they don't feel so helpless too.

:goodvibes Good luck. I hope this all has a happy outcome.

.....Today is the day we should find out the genders of the twins (if they cooperate)! Then we'll have a better idea of what we're going to do about our living situation. Beth

Yes, I'm quoting myself LOL!! No luck on finding out about the babies! My son said that every time they pointed the ultrasound probe, the turned their little behinds to the camera, so I'm still knitting yellow, green and white things. They will be going back to the doctor on 9/22, and at that time they're doing some kind of full-body, 3d ultrasound on each twin, and we will definitely know then! The good news is that all of the genetic testing is fine and they're healthy and VERY active little ones. Beth

As long as they and mom are healthy is the important part :flower3:

I had friends in HS who's mom was told, oh you're have a big healthy boy.. NOPE twin girls hiding behind one another, :rotfl:

Beth,

Sorry you have to anticipate a little longer on the sex of the babies. It must be a relief to know they are active healthy babies. That is great news! :goodvibes

Please don't tell me that little bit of information wasn't announced until the birth. Now that would have been a BIG shock at delivery. :scared1:

Well 4 loads of laundry and lots more to go.. OMG, can I hate the TSA?? I had one bag that had to have been searched. I had an open bottle of balsamic vinegar that Hal got on the cruise..and I had it in a ziploc bag and wrapped in more plastic and then wrapped in a t-shirt. Well guess what I just fished outta the washing machine!! Unopened and not broken thankfully!! But there was no plastic bags to be found!!! I mean if you are gonna open my suitcase..fine..I got no problems with that...just repack it the same freaking way!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The washing machine beckons...

Well it was way late in the pregnancy, enough that the girls lived in a Blue room and wore Blue clothes for the first month of their lives

No, all of her medical team is here in Monmouth County. One Dr. is in Shrewsbury and one is in West Long Branch. I wonder how we ever managed to have children without all this special medical stuff?:confused3

When my mother was pregnant in 1961, the doctor "confirmed" that she was carrying twin boys. My sister was born exactly on her due date. They had to think of a girl's name quickly, because neither Stephen nor David was going to fit the bill!

:scared: We've had a crazy day over here . . .

The kids and I visited Bill (DH) in the hospital this evening. He experienced chest pains while at work this morning. I didn't find this out until around 10:30/11 am. So when I talked with him, I told him to get in to see his doctor ASAP. His doctor hooked him up to an EKG machine and decided to have him admitted to the hospital (the office is attached to a hospital). The Cardiologist says everything looks fine now. However, they are keeping him overnight for observation. Also, he has a stress test scheduled for the morning. He was still in pain when I saw him. However, there doesn't seem to be an answer on what is causing the pain. At least we can rule out a heart attack. Which is a BIG relief. :goodvibes

The kids and I went to visit him after I picked Emily up from school. She started Kindergarten yesterday.:woohoo: I didn't want to disrupt her school day and Bill said he was feeling fine. So, I had to wait until 3 PM to head out to the hospital. Those were the longest few hours. :rolleyes1

I can't wait to go and pick him up from the hospital tomorrow. I am confident, the tests will all be fine.

I hope Bill is feeling better and will go home soon.:grouphug:

 Thank you Judy! Sorry I wasn't online last night to post an update. I had to take Will and Emily to practice last night and then came home to baby "my baby".

:thumbsup2 Bill was released from the hospital yesterday late-afternoon. The stress test went well and they honestly couldn't give him a solid answer on the cause of his chest pains. He's getting close to 40 (one more year :rolleyes1 ). So, when a man "his age" complains of chest pains, the doctors seem to get concerned and automatically think it is cardiovascular. His overnight stay at the hospital was a precaution and for observation. His EKG was a little abnormal when he first got there. But has since got back to normal. Same with his blood pressure. He works in a very high-stress environment. Also, the chaos at home probably doesn't help either. He needs a vacation and maybe this was just a wake-up call. We need to decide if we want him to have a job with great money and more stress or less money and less stress. I'm in for the latter and would rather have my husband around than his life insurance money. Blunt, but true.

So, we have just what the doctor ordered in a few weeks. Castaway Cay is a great remedy for his ailments. :goodvibes

:flower3: Thank you again for your concern. It is greatly appreciated.

 Jen:hug:

Glad he is doing well, I hope Emily had a great day at school.

 Thank you! Bill is stubborn and back at work today. He HAD to go in. ;) At least today is Friday. He has the weekend and works from home on Mondays. I will make sure he takes it easy.

 Emily loves school. She is very social and has already made lots of friends. Rowdy the Dallas Cowboys mascot is at her school today for their "Back to School" celebration. Also, every Friday they have Chick Fil A cater lunch. Being a Charter School, they don't provide a hot lunch for purchase. So, the kids bring their own lunch every day (which was fine with us). So, Fridays are a big treat for the kids. Emily never attended Pre-K. So, I was curious how prepared she was for Kindergarten. She seems to be on par with the other children. Which was a big relief.

Thank you again for your kind thoughts for Bill. :goodvibes

Jen, I am so glad Bill is home and OK!! That would have scared the ya know what outta me!

Pics will hopefully be coming soon. DH wants to edit out the red eye yada yada yada. I will post the link as soon as he has them!

Did you guys see that the 2010 itineraries are supposed to be announced Oct 7! Hopefully they will have some good and different ones.

Oy, I want to strangle my MIL!! She took the kids Saturday and had them stay over Sat nite...nice right?? Well we pick up the kids on Sunday and guess what?? Rachel (DD12) is missing at least 6 inches of hair :scared1: . DD wanted a trim and yes needed a trim..but a trim is an inch. Mil has wanted her to cut her hair (and me to cut mine) forever. Well it wasn't her choice, it was ours and Rachel's. Rachel was convinced to be ok with it the other day..but after thinking about it, and looking at vacation pictures she was very upset. It of course will grow back, but it is a control thing.

My mil may not agree with how we spend our money, how we live our lives, the condition of our house and all the billion of other things I am sure she doesn't like (like medicating my kids for ADHD), but THEY ARE OUR KIDS. It is our lives, and she can't do this!!!!!!!!! I am really really angry about this. It is not my mother, so I will keep my mouth shut, it is up to Hal to say something, but I will be keeping my distance for awhile. I really wish the holiday's weren't a few weeks away..cause I really don't want to go there. i think we are gonna do 1 night and not 2 and I will cook for us here at home. We shall see.
