DIS Meet Dec 8 07

Hey Jasmine!!! Hope you guys are having a great summer full of fun!!! Your trips sound great!! Robby and I aren't going on vacation until October when we go to WDW for apartment hunting and MNSSHP. We are super excited. It will be our first Halloween party, and our first time for character meals-breakfast at CRT and dinner at CP.
Hope you guys have a great time on your trips, and make sure to post plenty of pictures!!!

I think we're going to the Halloween too. If we go we might see you there. I probably wouldn't be able to stand no vacations over the summer though.

Beth - Great photos. I like the one with the little boy in CP. It looked like he was ready to take that bear home. Very cute. I hope your DDIL is doing well. I sure hope you have a mild summer up there. I was pregnant during the summer in Texas with Emily and Cole. It was NOT fun! At least your by the coast and should have a breeze. - Jennifer

The little boy was so cute! He wouldn't let Leslie blow out her own birthday candle, but kept doing it. Then he sang Happy Birthday to her. We had a wonderful time at Crystal Palace!

We're already having a rather hot summer--it's been over 100 degrees a few days and it's only June. We're only two blocks from the beach and our house is in a very cool, shady location. If we decide to move, I'm going to hate to leave! We're on a corner property on a tiny street, surrounded entirely by trees. We also have a pool in our yard (not a big one), and beach passes so I think we'll survive!

Today is Bill's 39th Birthday. One more year until the BIG 40. He has to work. So, we will take him out to dinner this evening. He already got part of his birthday present. I bought him a gift certificate to do a rider training course for motorcycles. Once he passes the course, I told him he could buy a motorcycle. It is something he always wanted. So, I wanted to help make his dream come true. I caught him this evening looking on Craigslist for a motorcycle. He was like a kid in a candy store.

Hope you guys have fun in Australia. Australia and New Zealand are two (of many) places I've always wanted to go. I would absolutely love to take the Lord of the Rings tour of New Zealand!!! I know I'm a dork.

Tina - I saw in your post that you will be apartment hunting while at WDW in October. Are you going to stop by the Casting office too? It would be so exciting if you and Robby worked at WDW. "Living your dream." Good luck!

I actually called Casting about a month ago to see if I needed to set up an appointment or anything before we go, and the CM told me that the only time anyone really has to go to Casting is when you do your interviews and finalize everything. They mainly do all questions over the phone now. It's really kinda scary to just sell your house and move to a new place where you know no one, but I keep telling Robby that if we really want to do this now, we need to do it now before we get ready to have a family. I've picked out around 10-12 apartments and we're going to narrow it down from there before we leave. We'll be sure to take plenty of pictures and post them on here so you guys can help us pick!!!

Have you contacted Emi? She may be a great resource on where to live and where NOT to live. Also, there are a lot of DISer that are CMs. They may be of some help too. I totally understand this will be a very scary move and a BIG change in your lives. You don't have to go through all this alone.

I see Jasmine was busy on here today.

I made her stay home from summer camp, because she's got a cold I want her to get over before we leave on Sunday. And of course now I've got it too, so I came home early from work and have been sleeping half the day.

Julie (and anyone else thinking of cruising Europe) I picked up a great book last week: Fodor's European Ports of Call. It's got info about ports all over Europe and even has a run down of the different cruise lines available.

Hint Hint: Don't forget we have a House in Winter Garden, FL and they have a TON of Houses for rent, and Apartments.. AND... there are CMs Apartments really close by

Cool, what camp are your kids going to? I hope I get to do a Panama Canal cruise too, mom and I are hoping to do it on the Wonder if it goes through the canal.
