OK, I have a Disney milestone to report! I have just requested my first-ever character meal ADR!! Jim and I don't particularly enjoy them, but my friend who's traveling with me next month is a huge Winnie-the-Pooh fan (her last name is Bear!), so we're going to The Crystal Palace. I'm going to surprise her with breakfast there on the morning of her birthday!

I'm sure we'll have a wonderful time.

Beth

Congrats Beth!!! I hope you have tons of fun!!! Robby and I are doing our first character dining experience this trip too!!! We are doing CRT for breakfast on day and Crystal Palace for dinner another. I'm super excited!!!!! :woohoo:

Beth hope you have a great time, my guys are no longer winnie the pooh fans but we still do breakfast there because it is delish and getting into the park before it opens is a plus :thumbsup2

Make sure they know it is her Birthday... I know for dinner they bring out a cupcake with a candle.. Maybe they will do a Muffin.. :confused3

Hello everyone!

We are back from our trip to Korea and Japan. We had an awesome trip! We shopped like crazy in Osan, and I had a great time partying at Kunsan with the folks out there.

We loved Tokyo Disney. Jas has already said she wants to go back there for her High School graduation! I'll post more info and some pics this weekend!

I have no idea how we're going to manage to get there so early in the morning (8:10), but we'll do it.

Congrats!! :cheer2:

Oh, I plan on telling everyone! We're having dinner in Germany that night, at her request, and I plan to make sure they know, too. I'm going to get her a birthday button, too. I'm just afraid she's planning similar things since my birthday is the next day, and I hate having a fuss made over it! Oh, well, we'll be at Disney, so who cares!

I've never eaten there, but it's her favorite WDW restaurant. Mine is Boma, and we'll be eating there the evening we arrive.

I'm finally getting excited about this trip. It's just so weird to go without Jim! I'm not quite sure what a girls' trip to WDW is like, but I'm sure planning on finding out;).

Good choice, breakfast is their best meal...at least we think so :).

You are going to love walking down Main Street when it is empty. Great pics, it is awesome!!

Wendy: I'm glad you made it home safely. I can't wait to see your photos. :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 We'll be at The Crystal Palace in a couple of weeks for breakfast. We were fortunate enough to get a 8:15 am reservation. I'll make sure to take some photos of the park "somewhat" empty and post. This will be our first time at MK before 10 am. :cool1:

The kids still don't know about our upcoming trip. They did BEG us to go camping. So, we finally gave in and told them "yes" we'd go camping in a couple of weeks. Little do they know, it will be at Fort Wilderness. ;)

We have Will's 8th Birthday Party this upcoming Sunday. It is a Pirates of the Caribbean themed party. It is going to be so much fun for the kids. We have a sandbox out back. So, I am going to hide coins in there to do a "Buried Treasure" hunt and the kid with the most coins wins a prize. Also, Bill came up with a Scavenger Hunt for the kids. At each station they will get a prize (pirate hat (princess crowns for the girls), eye patch, POTC stickers, POTC blowers and at the end in the big treasure chest will be water guns (princess wands for the girls) and candy. They should have a blast finding all the goodies. I ordered a "cupcake" cake with POTC theme. I have ordered cupcakes for the kid's parties the past couple of years. It is so easy to hand each kid a cupcake and one of those little cups of ice cream. Works out perfectly. :thumbsup2 I hope the day is nice because I want the kids outside as much as possible.

We have a busy weekend ahead of us. So, I won't be online at all this weekend. Everyone have a great weekend. Until Monday . . .

Okay, time to start posting some pics from our trip: First let me say that April - before Golden Week is a great time to visit TDR. We walked right on every ride at Disney Sea the first day. The second day was THE 25th Birthday for Disneyland, so it was more crowded. But we were given a pin when we came into the park, and got to see the first running of the 25th Anniversary parade. Plus we made good use of our fast passes, and didn't really wait in long lines. We did wait 30 minutes in the Standby line for Winnie the Pooh, but it was so worth it!

Overall, the parks were absolutely beautiful, and there seemed to be more attention to detail than in the states. The CMs were ALL extremely friendly and helpful. Walt really would've been proud! We stayed at the Ambassador, and I loved the decor. I felt like I'd walked into an I Love Lucy episode!

Here's some pics from Seoul, and DisneySea:

My DS, Annette and I were at WDW for a week until last Sunday. I should have checked the DIS to see if anyone else was there. :confused3

They do have some transportation open then.

My DS and I did the Train Tour week before last. We arrived at MK before 7AM but Annette did drop us off at the Contemporary and we walked. I have some photos of Main Street with NO ONE on it! :goodvibes

I'm glad you all had a great trip. I really want to go.

WDW really needs to build a Disney Sea Park.

We live there:rotfl: Well I wish we did and the possibility frightens Randy!

I made reservations today to go camping the last weekend in May for my birthday. SOOOo excited! I have never stayed at fort wilderness before so we don't plan on going to the parks, just bike riding and renting boats and relaxing. Any camping tips for me? Im not very outdoorsy :rolleyes1

Checking in...

I'm curious to find out why there has been fireworks at Midnight from Magic Kingdom when the park closed at 7 and there was no Pirate/Princess party :confused3 This was 2 days in a row.. Beautifulllllllllllllllllllllllll fireworks though and I will never get tired of watching them from the front porch..

DH & DS made arrived today :goodvibes so tomorrow is Breakfast with Lilo & Stitch and Dinner with Cinderella and Prince Charming :thumbsup2 We have never done either so I am really excited..

Tomorrow is Breakfast with Mary Poppins & Alice in Wonderland.. and after all the scary reviews lately for Tony's.. We decided to cancel our reservation for dinner.. :scared1:

:grouphug:

Anyone need anything while we are here??

My guess on the park closing early is that someone with ALOT of money had a private event, I know that they will have things like McDonalds employee night etc.

Im so jealous that you can see the fireworks!!! Thats my favorite part of the parks.
