DIS Ladies Only Trip 2007 WISH!

I've managed to pull through again, I didn't lose or gain anything !!!! and believe me, that is a plus since I had 3 parties this weekend :scared: I'm just trying to get through the holidays without gaining anything, obviously I would like to lose, but im okay with staying the same until the 1st, I've been really careful with my choices of food and trying to pick things that are lower in fat, of course im not always perfect, but I have been limiting my "goodies" intake :rotfl: and I still believe that beer is good for a diet :rolleyes1

Yay Anita! I think I will be content to maintain through the first of the year too. However, I have gained about another pound! I think you are right about the beer. If you drink enough of it you get dehydrated and that always looks good on the scale. :thumbsup2

Until the next day when I weigh myself and see a pound gained and I have to do 4 miles on the treadmill to take it off again :rotfl2:

And Christine, you look great !!!! seriously, it won't be so bad for you if you gain a pound or 2, you can always take it off after January 1st, and even if you don't, you still look thin and healthy !!

I know why I love you, Anita! :goodvibes Forget everything I ever said about wimpy beer!

Did you see the thread about Wii-ing your way thin? Sounds like a plan.

:wave2: Looks like I pulled one of my famous disappearing acts again. :sad2: That's great to those that stayed the same or lost! :woohoo:

I still have not gotten on the scale!! Insane I know. I need to. My DH finally came back home yesterday after 5 days gone. I was a total mess. :rotfl: Didnt go to work out once during that time. I'm having a hard time getting back into it.

Anyway, just checking in.

I am having a hard time myself, every day has been a struggle for me :sad2: maybe we both need to kick each other in the a$$ :rotfl: I just keep telling myself that it's mind over matter, not that it works, but sometimes it helps

Good luck Wendy !! I know you can do this

Wendy, good to see you! Don't be so hard on yourself. It is easier to slip up when you are.

I will join in that kick! Who's first?

Holy crap Christine, I felt that kick all the way home !! you forced me to do 6 freakin miles on my cross trainer :faint: I guess I can be fairly certain that I worked off that peppermint white chocolate mocha I had today :rotfl:

You guys are doing great job! I admire the motivation of all of you. .

I myself won't be going on the scale till New Years. :sad2:

Was it as good as it looks? The Starbucks I mean. What exactly is a cross trainer?

It's a tread mill that has the ski type poles, you set the tension on them and use them while you walk, the machine also has the incline thingie too !! I love it !!

OH and my tip for the day.......

If you are really going to town on your treadmill and not paying attention to the time, make sure you stop ON YOUR OWN before getting to 100 minutes, otherwise the machine will stop you itself by coming to a complete HALT :rotfl2: don't ask, just know I was going 3.9

Ouch! :headache: 100 minutes is a long time to be on a treadmill, Anita!

I got on the scale today and lost those 2 pounds that mysteriously appeared!

And i'm not usually on the treadmill that long, I usually only do 60-70 minutes, but I felt so good and I kept wanting to hear the next song on my ipod :rotfl2:

I just weighed myself and I'm the same weight as I was on Oct 30 before the trip. I may make it through Christmas and New Years without too much damage.

They may not be gourmet but those frozen Panninis and individual pizzas do help. Plus the Jared sandwiches from Subway. :)

That's very sweet of you Anita. I have been so busy around here the last few days!!!! This last weeke just was not a very good one period for me. I did however make some new friends. :woohoo: They are other scout mom's. Anywho...... I yet again went another week without weighing-in. :sad2: I've really got to get going with this. Otherwise I will loose all momentum.

Thanks for the but kick offer. I may need it.

Oh I LOVE those panninis, I am totally addicted to them, not only are they good, but they are much more filling than the dinners

I said to you that you looked like you hadn't gained any weight since that first time I met you !! good for you Joanne !! you must know how to control your eating, unlike me :rotfl:

Wendy, i'm sorry the past week was bad for you, I hope things are better now !! and i'm so glad to hear that you made some new friends !! good for you !! :yay:

I hope you can keep your momentum, just keep thinking how great you feel about yourself when you stick with the diet and excercise !! I know it's hard, like I have said before, it's a daily struggle for me, but I think we can all do this

And for you people who would have liked to see me fall off the treadmill........ shame on you :sad2:

I am a big fan of the panninis as well. My fav is the chicken with spinach and mushrooms. I need to go buy some more of them. They really help me stay on track with the calorie counting.

They are good. It's helped me not gain weight these days.
I eat alot at work. People are always bringing in cookies, cakes etc which is hard to refuse. :sad2:
I'll be happy after the hoildays when all the food is gone. :rotfl:

I'm not doing our pot-luck. It's always so much food and I can't controll myself with normal portions.
