DIS Ladies Only Trip 2007 WISH!

Well, it is starting. And I think it will be continuous right up till my neighbor's New Year's Day party. :rolleyes: Each year my church does a mass and turkey dinner the Thursday before Thanksgiving. Not sure why they feel the need to do that, but they do. Of course my preference is to stay home. But, my husband likes us to go. And, it is nice chatting with everyone. And of course tomorrow is another tailgate...

So, my strategy is to eat my normal stuff before I go then hopefully not eat while I am there. Or, eat only a bit of something that looks really tasty. I am hoping my weight remains stable the rest of the year. :laughing:
 
Sounds like a good strategy to me Christine. Hope that it works for you.

I'm trying to snack on healthier things myself. Instead of candy or junk. Sometimes though I still have some (Hey gotta satisfy my sweet tooth every once in a while!) :rotfl:

Well, its Tuesday..so I thought I'd weigh. The holiday spread has begun! i am up a pound. I am glad I got on the scale, however. Hopefully it will motivate me to stay healthy and active over this long weekend. I packed my smoothie maker--I think it will help to keep as many meals as normal as possible.

I won't be around until next week. Good luck with the eating this weekend ladies!

I dont know what happened this week for me. I was doing all the healthy things I thought I should be doing. *sigh* Maybe I should make my portions even smaller then I already have. :confused3:

Wendy, sorry you're feeling down :hug: you didnt say if you lost or gained, but maybe instead of making your portions smaller, you could excercise more, it does wonders for me, and I don't mean so much with the weight loss, but with making me feel good :goodvibes

I was up this week. I have been excercising a lot more regularly then I was before the beginning of the month. Perhaps I gained muscle? :confused3 I did notice when I stopped to think about it that I have started my night time snacking again. UGH! It's just that by that time I am just so dag gone hungry I cant help myself. :faint:

It's always a struggle for me not to snack at night, usually i'm not even hungry, I just like snacking :rotfl:

I have a meeting tonight and was considering bringing a snack, but I think after this weekend and with all the feasting to come it would be more appreciated if I just skip it.

Well, I stayed the same this week, which is okay with me considering we had Thanksgiving, a work party with lots of good food and drinks, and we went out 2 nights to other people's parties, so all in all, i'm trying to pat myself on the back for not getting out of control and keeping my weight exactly the same as last week, even down to the ounces !!! :yay:
 
That's great to hear that everyone had a good weekend. I completely forgot to weigh myself this morning. :sad2:

I think being sick knocked off a couple pounds for me this week so I don't think its fair to count them. But I walked into the workout room again today. We still need to make friends.

Thanks for the support, Wendy. Unfortunately with my kid we have kid issues about every 3-4 months. And they are usually pretty major. Now, if only I were too stressed to eat...

Thanks, Anita. We seem to be pulling through.

I've managed to pull through again, I didn't lose or gain anything !!!! and believe me, that is a plus since I had 3 parties this weekend :scared: I'm just trying to get through the holidays without gaining anything, obviously I would like to lose, but im okay with staying the same until the 1st, I've been really careful with my choices of food and trying to pick things that are lower in fat, of course im not always perfect, but I have been limiting my "goodies" intake :rotfl: and I still believe that beer is good for a diet :rolleyes1
