DIS Ladies Only Meet 2006 Weight Loss Challenge - Starts March 28

January. You are an inspiration. I have been carrying around my "baby weight" for six years now.

And remember everyone...for the competitor in you...there are actually three top prizes for the top three losers by percentage of body weight lost.

And then knowing me...there will be a little something for everyone because I'm like that. I really am glad as many of you have stuck with it as you have.

Besides the princess thing, I have a great idea in my head for the top three. :thumbsup2

Kat, you are sweet to do this for the top 3!
You are an inspiration. You have been steadily losing weight month after month! And if I went to Disney as often as you, believe me, I would not be losing a single pound. I would be gaining!!

Losing baby weight is HARD! It is honestly the hardest thing I have ever done. The hardest times are when there is some kind of party or celebration and I cannot have that cupcake or extra potato salad. Portion control is something I really have had a tough time staying with. Before I got married, I was thin and I have been most of my life and ate whatever I wanted and how much I wanted. I wish I could go back to that without gaining. Once I turned 25, my metabolism started to change. :confused3

shirley, that is fantastic on your weight.

you are loosing it and it won't come back on.

slow and steady is the best way to keep it off.

and, congrates to january and everyone else for hanging in there with this.

Okay I was bad yesterday.

I had the twins and we went to Pizza Hut and had the buffet. I only had one slice of Pepperoni Pizza but I had about 5 of the bread sticks (love the bread sticks) and I had a small salad and I drank water (like that was really going to help). :lmao:. Last night instead of my one pepsi I drank two and late at night (not good) and I ate a bag of Act II butter popcorn, popcorn:: usually I share this with dgd but she was already in bed (good excuse, isn't it). I went over my calories and carbs intake that I'm supposed to have daily but not my fat intake (came close but didn't go over).

So I am starting over again today and trying to be really good. I bought cucumbers and tomatos with some fat free itilian dressing and 2 slices of turkey for lunch.

I am also really going to try and do some exercising tonight (pray for me on this one, I need all the help I can get). :lmao:

I hope everyone is having a good day.

well, shirley, i will say this to get a big laugh out of you.

if i was going to go over my caloric intake on a day, i would do it grand just like you did.

don't beat yourself up, it was fun while it lasted and everyone breaks the diet on occassions.

today was the first day i could eat solid food.
i had a mcdonalds mcchicken sandwich with extra onions and for my second lunch 2 hours later, i had a rallyburger.

dinner i wish for a chalupa but still restricted on anything spicy so i make order a dominioes pizza.

if i am gonna fall, i am doing it up big and fall hard today.........
:teeth:

I am so glad that you can eat solids now and honey you deserved everything you ate and I love the idea of a 2nd lunch. I know that you love your chalupa (never had one) so hopefully it won't be long before you will have one again.

Mac you make me feel so good, thanks for the laugh.

princess michelle, i think you are going to be a winner !!

you have a schedule now and sticking to it. that is half of the battle in the weight loss challenge. the more muscle you have, the more calories you will burn. remember muscle burns fat.

in a decent, good pace workout with curves doing 4 cycles, 500 calories can be burned in the 42 minute workout.

i still have not been released to go back to curves as some things has a strain on the neck. i should be going back next week.

well, even with the what the heck eating yesterday i lost .5 lb
weighed myself this morning and did it with the attitude, i will have gained probably up to a pound and i will live with it, but taken back i still lost.

now, this doesn't mean i am doing the same thing today.........the jaw is aching so i will eat light all day and see how it goes. the one good thing that has come out of this surgery (besides solving th emedical problem) is my appetite is under control from cutting back on food.

i just know everyone here will be pleased with their weight come end of september.

you all have a great day.

we haven't heard from of few of the homies lately and i hope they are doing fine.
sarah, if you are reading this, come on in for roll call sometime this week.

and the others, check in here.
roll call time is a happenin'............

Mac. I am so glad you got to have some real food. I would have done exactly the same. Actually, I have and had no excuse for it.

Oh Mac...don't give me excuses.

michelle, if it makes you feel any better, i would have done the wings also.

you jjust can't beat them babies with a stick.
they are so good..........

today is another day.
starting with fruit is a wise decision. by the time the weekend is over, you will probably lose a pound as you are now concentrating on dieting today.

everybody has a day with cravings. it will all even out once you give in to them and then the day after watch what you eat.

have a great weekend

I havent had the best week. I'm not looking forward to weigh in tomorrow. :sad2: There is a silver lining in the dark cloud though. I had an interview with Curves on Saturday. This morning I went shortly after they opened and signed up. :woohoo: Tomorrow I have my first work out there. :teeth:
