DIS-functional Wonder Peeps Part III revisited

you play a pretty good but complicated strategic game there Gert. I hope you don't try to explain the theory behind it all to the parents. How did you do with Silent Saturday? The only way we could ever get thru those was to have Chris coach instead of the head coach and have me sit on the sidelines chewing on a toosie-roll pop. (I hung up my cleats because my dad wouldn't stop yelling at me so I know how the poor kids feel.)

Dougie was supposed to go to Mexico with our old chruch group but I cancelled. Too nervous about all of the kidnappings and junk going on down there in Tiajuana.

Hope Johnnie has fun riding those coasters at Magic Mountain. We watched part of a Travel Channel special on wild roller coasters. Uh huh, no way you could get me on one of those that you hang from the top, go 0 to 60 in 2 seconds, pull 2 G's and do 4 flips! Those people are nuts! (or maybe I'm just old)

I like to confuse my parents whenever possible!!:rotfl2: Without coaching today the 5-2-2 was more like a 7-2-goalie. No so good. We learned today the end of "switching up lines" is upon us. The girls are now officially considered position specialists. No fullbacks moving to forwards etc. They are just too confused with out "direct" guidance. But its all good - They learned the other girls' position aren't as fun as they look. Mission accomplished says I. Now play where you are told!!:worship: :rotfl2:

I think I will call my friend Phyllis. Must to talk to her about something. I wonder if she is home... don't blame her for not sending cute son Dougie to Tijuana. Too scary.

To call her I go.

Gert post time: 3:30pm
Current time: 5:17pm
Still no call from Gert...:confused3
(never sends me text messages when she says she will either... seeing a trend here)

Auntie and Uncle (who was taking the Dougster to Mx) are coming over for dinner and to watch a movie. It will be interesting to see what movie they pick - has to please grown ups, a teen boy and picky Babs... I haven't been able to do that for years. :lmao:

wondering if Ophie will ever finish pix cd's. Got's my frames sittin' here all nekkid and lonely.

 Hey Gert! If'in Stymie gets new job with Gallo does this mean FREE WINE? :rotfl2:

Lennar is building up the road here...was that 345 for a SF house? That sounds pretty darned good!:thumbsup2 Ya can't buy a townhouse for that here!:rolleyes1

Went to DH's Aunt & Uncles pig roast / BBQ this afternoon...it POURED! OMG! We just got home and I swear I felt like I was mildewing in my clothes - changed into my jammies now!!;) They had a big tent...but it was NASTY out. Tennies, socks & jeans were soaking wet. We went late as DH found a flat tire today on his car and he went & spent all afternoon at Sears...2nd flat in a week.:scared: (Comes from workin' in a lumber yard). The Uncle collects classic cars and so they have a 3 car garage in the house and then another freestanding gargage with like 4 more bays and a MIL apt. over it - they had put the food in one of those bays...by the time we got there tho there were too many flies seeking shelter from the rain for me to partake. Gave me the heebie jeebies. I went for a beeg plastic cup of Shiraz and a piece of cake...

One more glass and I shall be ready for bed!:rotfl2:

Free wine - no - but cheap wine - YES!!:thumbsup2

345 still seems high to me given what prop values are out here now. But I think if this deal happens I will scour the bank owned list before I pay builders dream price. We shall see.

Glad you survived the mildew! Enjoy sleepytime!

Do you think the discs will be safe in just padded envelopes or do they need boxes?

:scared: :cheer2: Redskins VS Cowboys today!:scared: :cheer2:

Ophie...just a thought for your project...I think padded mailers would be OK but how 'bout those cardboard mailer envelopes that don't bend...I think they say for photos...they're like 5x7....can find 'em at Target...wonder if your cd would fit in those?

3 days in a row now of rain!:headache: I'm OVER it people!:rotfl:

/
I'd vote for cd mailers. They are available at the post office here. I'd be glad to cover some of the expense. No need for you to take all of the cost for cd's, boxes and mailing - and I want my pictures. My pictures :lmao:

No feetball for us today. Sick kiddos and Mamma gettin' sick. Dougie says "oh, a coupla guys in Tech [club] are sick so you probably got it from me." Sure would like him to give it back. I don't mind being sick so much but I hate sick kids. Something Mamma can't fix!

Hope it stopps raining soon, Annie. No rain in sight here - altho you can swim thru the humidity.

Thanks again for the tips, Johnna. I will forward the specifics to DH. I did mention about D and he laughed and said, yeah, thats what I do, 3 on D, thats why it was ONLY 4-0 (sorry, don't think its working ;)).

No Football here today either...Bye week! I went on a mission to the mall today. Let it be known I hate to shop, but I needed a dress for cousins wedding next month. I wanted to go with something with sleeves, but those are all old ladyish. I had freak luck and found 1 dress randomly on a rack with others that didnt match, in my size and the big bargain....$39.99 for an $88.00 dress. Gotta love that!!! Heres what I went with.

Forgot to add...hope you are all feeling better, Cheri, and glad you dried out Annie. Mildewing...LOL!

I can def see that on you. :thumbsup2 Good choice methinks.

Thanks girls! I definitely like the idea of open toe shoes with no nylons (I'm still in summer time here), but knowing that an evening/night wedding in October can be pretty cold, Im thinking thats not the way to go.

Big fight going on here. :headache: Did I mention I cant stand school??? Cam brought home a few bad papers Friday (subject and predicate stuff), so Im going over them with him. After doing 15 on one page he gave me the answer to the last one...I asked what is it and he comes out with "complete....subject". Every one on on this page was predicates. I'm losing it! Then he laughs and thinks its funny, so I go ballistic. I think its time for me to walk away from the children and get back to work before I end up in jail.

ok, first things first!:cool1: Go REDSKINS:woohoo:

Next - CamColt - SAHWEET choice!:thumbsup2

Makin' dinner so gotta be quick....FL DVC'ers...ya'll need to call DVC for me sometime & do some snooping! :rolleyes1 I called MS with a couple of questions today and so then I said OH BTW, I haven't received anything in the mail yet about BLT or THV's or anything...and then I mentioned the other new resort at Ko'Olina on Oahu...she said because I live in MD she couldn't talk to me about Oahu 'cuz they've filed some papers but they're not official in MD yet...:headache: She said if I was IN FL like on vacation they could TALK to me...but so she wouldn't even HINT what she knew!! But so I think a FL peep should call them and find out the latest scoop and tell all!!! I had said something to her about them probably needing to break ground soon, or at least by 2009 and she sounded like she was smiling!

OK...must run...dinner is burning up on the grill!

deep breaths, my friend and stay away from sharp implements  This is the year I'm supposed to "let go" and let Babs fall on her face. Um.... she doesn't seem to mind the falling. It's driving me insane. How do you just walk away knowing your child is blowing it? :headache: So, I feel your pain. I really do.
