:rotfl2: I love the "edit for wrong cookie"! :rotfl: Those look fab!!:goodvibes Thanks!!

Thanks, Cheri. Nice to know Im not alone. Thats what kills me...he just doesnt care. Hes fine if he fails. Then I get ranting that he will have to stay back, and he will be stupid, and never turn into anything in life....and then I feel like a mean mother. I know that is totally wrong, but I get to the point Im so frustrated, I just lose it. Unfortunatley, yelling and ranting is my "thing" :guilty: I just want him to get that it DOES matter and there are consequences in the long run. Good luck to you and Babs too.

Nice picture. I want to go for a ride. Do they really sell those burgers? Too cute!

Lunch at 9:26??? Yikes! You gotta wonder what these people who make these decisions are thinking.

Katie and Phylis..

Guess what?? Your kids are normal! :rotfl2:

I do wanna say though....they do begin to "get" it as they get older. Believe me, in the past I have done my fair share of yelling too. It gets better :goodvibes

Last week WAMU this week, Wachovia! (Our home equity line is with them...and my "2012 cruise fund" account which is WAY under the FDIC limit!:rotfl2: ) But OH MY!! 2 of our banks that we use go under in one week!

DS trys to avoid admitting how much homework he has...thankfully they use this daily planner thing that they have to write their homework in and at least 3 of his teachers have been checking it daily to be sure the assignment is written in. I have to follow up and look at it everyday then and ask him about each & every entry. OTHERWISE...:sad2: We would be missing some homework - and his teachers mark it down 1 letter grade per day for being late!! I cannot NOT look at this planner...his school requires us to follow up with it and they want us to initial it that we've looked at it. He would definitely fail if it didn't work like this. They just ask too much of them. He also has a band folder with a practice card that we're supposed to initial and a PE folder where they keep track of their pushups and how many miles they've run etc. He WAS holding steady with 5 A's and 2 B's but then late last week he got a 'C' on a Math quiz which dropped him to a 'B' and he dropped to a 'B' in something else...so now we have 4 B's and 3 A's. I LOVE this Edline thing where the grades are posted online EVERY TIME they have something that's graded!!

:scared1: Disturbing story on the news right now...local woman in Rockville adopted 3 kids and killed them and put them in a freezer!! Sounds like she killed them here, had them in the freezer, moved to another county and took the freezer with her!!

Morning everyone! It's still morning right? checks clock

Yes, Good Morning!!:thumbsup2

Annie - that is scary about the Rockville woman. How sad. :sad2: :sad1:

Cleaning of the desk.:scared: Apparently I forgot to pay a bill!:scared1: Oh well. Paid now. Next to the DVM website to pay reg for truck. Yippee.

Have to package up some things to be mailed. Switch the laundry. Oh who knows what other fun things I will find to do.

Phyllis - how you feeling? I would send a text but you won't get it until Christmas...

Phone rings...

FYI...Wachovia did not fail like WAMU. WAMU deposits had to be saved by FDIC. Wachovia was not taken over by Fed regulators. Wachovia deposits were never in trouble. Citibank took a $42Bils writedown on it. It will end up great for Citi shares holders as the assets are collected on.

Current stable Major US banks:

Citibank
Bank of America
JP Morgan Chase
Wells Fargo
Morgan Stanley
Goldman Sachs

National City is on watch

I am sure that local credit union deposits are off the charts nowadays. They never had the capacity to kill themselves with bad mortgages. Stay tuned...

alittle bird told me a year ago to get out of National City because they were the worst run bank..I did and now I am in BA!

For we the little people it doesnt matter too much because we don't have enough money to worry about $100K thresholds in our deposit accounts. Money markets are never covered and of course stocks aren't either.

You can Live in New York City where...

1. You say 'the city' and expect everyone to know you mean Manhattan .

2. You can get into a four-hour argument about how to get from Columbus Circle to Battery Park, but can't find Michigan on a map.

3. You think Central Park is 'nature,'

4. You believe that being able to swear at people in their own language makes you multi-lingual.

5. You've worn out a car horn.

6. You think eye contact is an act of aggression.

I being from The Great NYC have to agree 100% with every statement that is made in the above statement, because NYC is the greatest city on earth.. no if ands or butts about it....

Ah!! but now my millions are safe!!!

glad to have another affirmation that BofA is still ok. We have a few accounts there and would like very much not to lose anything or transfer to another bank or whatever.

Betsy - little birds are good. Unfortunately little bird is in London this week and the 8 hour time difference makes it difficult to call and say "CALL ME AND TELL ME WE ARE STILL SOLVENT!!!" me being the calm, rational thing that I am - I think about these things. little bird shakes head and tells me not to worry. little bird doesn't look at stock statements!!!

Annie - I like the different city scenarios. Except for CA: one of the 4 seasons is mud? Um... that would require rain. Rain would be good and VERY welcome. We had a small fire in the neighborhood behind our house last night. Nothing like seeing fire trucks at 1am. The first of the San Diego fires started one year ago today. Not that I'm anxious/nervous/schizo/paying attention or anything. (and I have 15 15-20' high queen palms that would go up like a match book :scared1: )

credit unions, huh? {making mental note} where is that d@mn bird when I need to chirp at him???

Tomorrow is Sept. 30 - I have to check to see if someone at WAMU paid our RE taxes on time ('cuz I don't exactly got a spare $6500 I don't need lyin around in my back pocket if they didn't!) Then I need to check to see if I still make my equity line pymt. out to Wachovia on the 9th or whenever I mail it or do I make it out to Citi Group or whatever? Then I need to find out if we should need to use our equity line are the credit card & checks still good and will they be changing our terms??:confused3 :scared1: Grrrrrr &*^%))_$#^&*&^*(*&^

Cheri - NO MORE FIRES!! Uh Uh....not allowed!! (Says I!!) Not sure 'bout the mud thing...I was not the author ya know....

OK, DH went over to poker buddies to watch Monday nite football...I'm gonna go watch Heroes w/o him!:goodvibes

It has rained all day today here in "sunny" So. Fla. I ran out of the gym dodging pelting rain. I managed to get inside my condo and it hasn't stopped. Good day to sit and do my needlework and read. That is what I did all day. Katy is coming tomorrow. She is out of school for the holiday. I have to pick her up at the fire station as her dad goes to work. It is supposed to rain all day tomorrow too. She won't be a happy camper because she loves my pool. There isn't even a decent movie for us to go see.
Since I pick her up so early (7:30) we go have breakfast somewhere on our way home. Tomorrow may be a good mall day for us.:rolleyes1

Mall day!!:woohoo:

Tomorrow....hhmmm...leetle pirate is not feeling too good - thanks Timmy. So don't know what I will be doing.

It will include laudry though. Always does.:sad2:

I'm sure a shopping trip with Grandma is always a treat for her! :thumbsup2 Sounds like you 2 will have a fun day.

Are my kids the only ones not off today? :confused3

Hope Leetle Pirate feels better. Me and the kids are all getting over colds here, nothing major, thankfully, but still annoying, ya know. Something must be going around on the Dis. ;)

Hope you get some rain, Cheri, and that is stops for you Anne.

YIKES! Just saw the time...gotta get Colt rolling.
