And hope you are doing Ok, Annie. Hannah is going to hit us overnight tonight 3-6 inches of rain and up to 60 mph gusts. I bet you FL peeps are laughing at us amatuers. Its actually weird out today. Its cloudy, but wicked humid. This is probably the most humid its been all summer here. Im sweating buckets.

Surprise surprise! I didn't loose my internet connection! Hanna is almost done with us now I think. The sky is brightening a little...I just checked my rain gauge...4.5". We were more on the rainy side than the windy side...

I went thru the Tastefully Simple site today and examined more of what products are available in the "sample" sizes and I ordered some more to sample at home so I am more familiar with the products. Actually, I figured it was a cheap way to feed us for a week! I will have DS figure it up like a math problem for me! (How many samples does it take to feed a family of 3 for a week?") (LOL...I am talking about soups & sauce mixes...not cheese balls & dips!)

Katie - I am still so mad at DS....he is just not responsible enough to take care these kinds of things. Most kids don't need this type of calculator until they're a little older. But now, of course, if it was a gameboy or something I'm sure he'd have guarded it with his life!

So, Cheri, I thought of you at dinner. We went to the Cheesecake Factory and finished off with, what else, but a couple pieces of cheesecake. They had some really good whipped cream on them and I said I would be happy with just the whipped cream...just like Cheri!

Annie - I might have an old TI-80 something around here somewhere. Want I should dig it out. Maybe the shame of using a hand me down calculator will work?

First soccer games today. Can I just say - my team ROCKS!! Poor things. It was 106 on our fields today at game time. We went through ALOT of water and gatorade but managed to keep them all alive. At least they were all alive when I headed for the parking lot! Man was it hot out there!

DD complained she had to play the whole game - mean coach mommy did not sub her out. UM....DD....you played goalie the first half and touched the ball twice. In the second half I moved you out to mid defense and you touched the ball...um...maybe 4 times!? Exhausting display of hang in there-ed-ness. I am a very proud coach this evening.

That was pretty much our day 'cause after being out in that heat...we were done. BBQ'd baked potatoes (are they still baked potatoes if you BBQ them??)and Mahi Mahi. Now DD is in the tub - Leetle Pirate is in bed, Stymie...um...is either online playing poker or watching free HBO and I am...well...you know where I am.

Stymie has to go to Houston on Tuesday. Hope Ike doesn't visit him. Us Caleeforneeans no se habla "hurricane". Though the tail end of one did hit us when we lived in PA. Right up the Delaware River and WHAMO - the weekend we moved into our first home. Yep, nice 1.5 acre wooded lot. We were so proud. Not so wooded after that. But Stymie did get to buy a really big chainsaw! So there's that.

OK everyone stay safe if yucky weather is headed your way. Tomorrow we may sneak to the SF Zoo where it will be cooler than the triple digits forecasted for us here at home.

Yay, Johnna's Team (whats their name?)!!! We ended up getting cancelled, but it didnt rain during what should have been our game time. yet we haveplayed in some pretty good rain in the past. Go figure! So the make ups begin.

Looks like Hanna is gone from here now. Its a nice sunny day. Boy was she fast.
