Posting now while I have time. Just had In N Out Burger. Yummy.

House gets packed tomorrow so won't have PC - ATT is turning off the internet on Friday so may get to post via laptop. Provided I am still alive. Seemed like I would get everything done. Until today. Now I am not sure. But not too sure it even matters. They will pack whatever is in the house so if I don't get through all of the closets I will see everything again sometime in the next year.

Thanks for the warm wishes, hugs and pixie dust. I will catch up when I can.

I think we saw that same commercial like a week ago! We couldn't remember if that was the right name or not tho! But it sure looked like the same ship.

DS's concert went well. The bands are all really, really good. It was longer than I expected tho. Didn't get home until 'bout 9:00ish by the time they cleaned up & all...then had to make my broccoli casserole for DH to take to his office Xmas luncheon tomorrow.

Ok, remind why I live here???

We got about 2-3 inches of snow overnight Tuesday/into yesterday. Now we are under storm watch for tomorrow 6-10 inches in our area, which is just great because I actually have to go out and drive in it. The kids are supposed to have the Holiday Event at school and I had volunteered for it. I can't believe I'm saying it but I hope school is cancelled.

Then if thats not enough if looks like Sunday we are getting hit again. I need to go to Florida!!!!

I don't know...move down here with me! It's still cold but we don't get as much of the white stuff! There's a foreclosure down the street going for about $440K!! That's a real steal around here!

Making homemade vegetable soup for supper. It's smellin' mighty fine but need to let it simmer for a LONG time to tenderize that stew meat. Was thinkin' about adding a little bit of red wine to it. Just to see if I could change it up a little bit...

Here, whenever they close school they cancel all of the extra activities too...that would be my guess. Your life for tomorrow will be cancelled!! Will they schedule make-up games for Colt?

Too bad work and getting ready for the party doesnt get canceled too.

I had to laugh...soccer always has a ton of make ups because of weather and here is an inside sport and we have 2 out of 3 games to make up so far.

Think I should start my present wrapping process today. DS has a reg. dr. checkup appt. this afternoon at 4:00. He is due for a tetnus shot. Tomorrow AM haircuts...tomorrow afternoon swimming....next Tues. Orthodontist....THEN SANTA COMES! well, maybe

Need to go christmas shopping after I get off today...I have only 1 or 2 things for Kate and Nick and nothing for my mother (since she went an bought herself the SAME thing I had for her!!!!..Gonna start calling her by my dad's name because he always did that to her)

Some packages might get sent as "Happy New Year" gifts..I have had ZERO shopping time and motivation!

Do you want a roommate? The snow has started with a vengence and they are saying 1-2 inches per hour now. A lot of work places are letting people out early. Knowing Peter he will be the fool that stays late. Last night it took him 1 1/2 hours for what is usually a 30 minute ride. There was no snow, just traffic from hell for some unknown reason. I cant wait to see what tonight brings.

Im getting to the point of whatever isnt done isn't getting done. Between shoveling out early tomorrow, then Cam's party, and more snow Sunday, looks like Im not shoping this weekend. I know I have to get a bottle of wine for my neighbors, but that will probably be it...and I'll wait to see if one of them plows us out first, LOL! J/K.

So, Katie...what's the verdict? How much of the white stuff did ya'll end up getting? Was it as bad as they predicted? I'll bet Sean & Linda got a little bit too. Hope the party goes well today!

Much to be done this weekend...I went to put MIL's gift together to wrap yesterday and found a HOLE in the sweater (under the collar). So DS and I stopped by Kohl's on the way home from his Dr. appt. to look for another one (he's up to 65 Lbs now! Only 19 Lbs shy of the AVERAGE 11 yo! ). Anyway, could not find the same exact one in her size so had to pick something else. But I think I am done shopping now. I think. Pretty sure. Hope so.

LOL, RJ, I'm hearing the same thing about my niece, although this weather is putting a damper on her coming home fun.

I'd say we got about 10 inches...and did I mention its 14 degrees with a windchill of -4 and its still flurrying. But we made the most of it and went to the neighbors house for a snow party last night. I'm feeling it today though. I tell ya, I was about 1 sip away from making a snow angel on the way home...I seriously almost did it, but a plow came by us.

Ok, gotta get on the treadmill if its not too loud for my head this morning. Then we have Cams family party at 2:00 so I have some house cleaning to do.

Let me correct that. I was reading the wrong area on the map before. The wind chill is about 0. And we are up to 16 degrees!

The last time we went away on a ski weekend (2 winters ago) with this group of people we're going with in January we DID make snow angels! It was also only about 14 degrees and we were "sipping" our beverages in the hot tub outside in the flurries! So we got out & made our snow angels IN OUR BATHING SUITS at that temperature! When we got back INTO the hot tub it felt like tiny needles jabbing us all over our bodies!! VERY tingley! It was like we'd blanched ourselves or something! And can I just add that it takes a LOT of sips to do snow angels in your bathing suit at 14 degrees!! Glad to hear ya had fun tho!

The view of our deck. I always use the table as the snow gauge. The bump thats on top is actually the grill in back of the table, its not more inches on top like it looks like.
