OK, so I don't normally watch commercials but I am in the study where we don't have Satellite or TIVO so I sorta have to watch them...anyway, just saw a commercial for this Flex thing...looks interesting RJ. I had never heard of it before when Ophie mentioned it. 24 MPG sure sounds pretty good right now to me!

Just made my homemade Penne A La Vodka with grilled chicken. I love it when DS's first bite comes with a "yummm" at the end!! (They always know when it's homemade sauce .) He has their next swim meet tomorrow night. You are supposed to load up on carbs the day before a competition, right?

OK, so has anybody else received any cruise docs? Still nothing here.

Annie, I want to eat at your house/camp. You serve some awesome dishes.

MIL has not informed me of any DOCS arriving.

I have been slammed at work. I want to quit soooooo badly.

We drive down to Celebration, FL on July 17 @ 7pm EST (after rush hour traffic)

DH gave me the bad news last week. He has to travel to Austin for work before, during, and after our DCL/Tampa/WDW vacation. He has to go down & back on July 16. While we will be at BWV (Sun-Fri), he will fly early am to Austin on Mon and return very late Thurs. Basically he is coming back to help me drive us back to Dallas on Friday. Then the following Mon he goes back to Austin right up until we take DS17 to college in Albany, NY on Aug 12.

He definitely will not work on the boat because I told him how much the internet charges will be. He will not have his work cell phone on either because of $$. So I'm not looking forward to WDW. It's too late to cancel DVC. I can't bank these points. The 2 little boys are looking forward to do the parks. DH usually gets up in the morning to make us hefty breakfast like eggs, sausage, pancakes... I just wake up in time to eat. DH also makes our lunches/snacks ready. All I have to do is pack it in the appropriate backpacks. Then I get on the bus to the parks.

We were going camping before the cruise but DH says that unless I pack everything for that we can go. I'm exhausted from work each day to pump myself to pack for FL. I've packed up all the boys for Disney. DH has his stack of clothes also. I have nothing but a stack of underwears, socks, and PJs. I have not sewn the pirate outfits for the 2 little boys and myself. I've mentally sewn the FE. I have this weekend to maybe finish everything.

Last person to pack is a rotten egg!!

We still have 3 weeks! Packing? You guys - I still have to shop for dinner outfits! That's all we really need to think about. I mean, we'll be on CC or the boat (or Nassau) everyday so that means shorts/swim trunks and t-shirts. Check. It's the pants for T that must be discovered. Guess I've been so busy I haven't had the time to go searching for cruise attire.

Yep, 3 weeks from tonight the packing needs to be done. Time to start getting serious!

I was actually going over everything I think Ill need last night and it looks like the only things I still dont have is something for Pirate nights and I want to get a new bathing suit cover up type thing. Other than that I think Im set. I plan to do laundry Saturday evening (after Blizzard Beach before dinner), then again on the ship Tuesday and Thursday, so I can do a lot of rewearing. This way I think we will be able to get away with 5 checked bags so we only have to pay for 1 extra. Lets hope! Wht a pain this is. If I could carry liquids on, I could probably do only 4 checked, but we can't do that either. UGH!

Dh helped me work on some music last night..he picked Al Green, Tony Bennett and Eric Clapton..he also said I could put "That's How You Know" on there...LOL..he is a closet Enchanted fan!! He nixed a few thinking that even though they are good songs, they aren't really "weddingy"

I had emailed my wedding coordinator about the rooms switch and that we would actually be in my mom's room..she switched our names into the Cat 7 and waived the fee for changing (who knewe there was a FEE to swap rooms!!)

I think I am becoming a bridezilla!!!! It is all I am starting to think about!!

3 weeks!!! MAN! I have a lot to do! First...the house has become a pig stye with me sitting here all day doing the job hunt thing. You would THINK the opposite, right? Like there would be nothing uncleaned by now? Wrong! I must do some cleaning before we go...just so Buzz & Woody have a nice clean place while we're gone! OK, they both need vet appts./shots and I need to contact our pet sitter neighbor to get her on stand-by. Need to change our haircut appts from a Wed to a Thurs 'cuz when I made the appt I didn't know DS would be swimming in meets on Wed.

Packing. DS has like 3 or 4 pair of those zip off cargo style pants that I will bring for him to wear on the cruise casual nights with his polo shirts (then wear them as shorts the next day) and he has 2 pair of dress pants and one dress shirt. He will eat room service or with the club the night we do Palo so I only need to cover him for 6 nights in the dining rooms. I still wanted to find another pair of pants for DH. Means a trip down to the mall one day 'cuz I couldn't find anything like what I had in mind at either Kohls or TJ Maxx. (Speaking of Kohls...CamColt - check there for coverups - it's been awhile but mine DID have a fair selection last time I looked....I picked up a crochet looking one with long sleeves...although I am paranoid about snagging it so I likely will only wear it at the pool...probably won't wear it on CC ). Am bringing 5 bathing suits for the 10 nights. 3 bikinis and 2 tankini's. All of mine are from last year except for one of the tankini's I found on clearance at Target this spring. These are small...won't take up much room. Will bring at least 3 bathing suits each for DH & DS... OH!! I found Downey Wrinkle Release in a 3 oz travel size at Target!!

For me...I bought 2 new pair of capris (1 black and 1 white) and a couple of new tops at TJ Maxx. Already had the dress for Palo. Everything else will be more mixing & matching of old stuff. And I will only bring one really dressy pair of heels that I can wear with the dress or with the black capris. Everything else will have to go with one of 2 or 3 pair of flat sandals and of course will bring flip flops for the pool & CC. Important - do I need to bring water shoes for CC???? One night I will dress for Pirate night. I plan to re-wear the black capris for the 2nd Pirate night. So really, I only need to cover 3 other nights. Haven't decided what to do about dressing for the very LAST night of the 3 night. Can anybody confirm if they have officially changed that from being "dress up night" to just cruise casual? I WAS going to bring another dress for that night but with the luggage restrictions now I may just do capris again.

What do you wear on your feet when you swim with stingrays? Is that whole thing like a snorkel experience with fins & all???

That sucks May...I am sorry that your DH will have to work during vacation! Perhaps your DS17 can help you with making the lunches etc.?! We only stay in a studio so our breakfasts are skimpy plus we like to get to the parks EARLY so we do a light breakfast of pastries or cereal then we stop to eat lunch early at the parks (at like 11:30 before everyplace gets packed). But we don't pack a lunch to take. Only snacks.

If I was as stressed as you are I would be inclined to skip the camping and just focus on vacation...

Hey Annie, the word that was sent out to the agents from Disney was that the dress up attire is changed to "optional" instead of "recommended". To me that sounds like the same thing. You can but you dont have to....sort of how its always been, LOL! As long as you are wearing more than underwear you wont be kicked out.

I do plan to dress up for that Saturday night, probably a black cocktail dress.

Our mail JUST went 3 min. ago so I ran out...nothing except our monthly equity line stmt. and our annual property tax stmt. which went up by like $600 from last years! (Now our escrow / mtg. will have to go up by like $50 / month. as home values FALL...) So is this typical to be this close before they send them? I thought they usually sent them out like a month ahead of time? No?!
