Bob.....Matt....guy.....person

:lmao: :rotfl2:

Annie: stoopid stoopid boy.....that's gotta be one of the dumbest Survivor moments of all time :lmao:

Gee, I almost though you were saying to call him stoopid stoopid boy. :rotfl2: See what you get for Mothers Day, RJ! ;)

Stress is starting to set in here. Tomorrows is Colt's First Communion, and hes doing a reading. UGH! Hes fine, Im a nervous wreck. Plus Im trying to get everything together, and the weather is going to stink, and Im going to freeze, and....I need to breathe. :scared:

:rotfl2:

Breathe Katie....breathe.....

Everything will be great. except the weather...wear something warm:hug:

Well, I went to the bus depot. They gave me an application and reference forms to bring home and a big 'ole book to study for a CDL drivers license! :scared: But I have found a few holes in the plan.:rolleyes1

First, I would have to stop hemming & hawing & decide what to do ASAP and get with it. There are several steps to start the process and a training class that starts the beginning of June that runs 3-4 weeks. The class is from 7:30-2:30 which I'm already thinking is a bit EARLY!!! :scared1: DS's 5th grade promotion is June 10 at 1:30...I would hate to have to miss that! Sigh. It will be a push to meet the requirements in order to make that next class. The NEXT class after that one is in July but would run into our vacation weeks so that would not work. To get in line for the fall routes I would probably need to get into the June class. This means getting all the forms returned by next week so they can decide if they want to call me in for an interview or not. THEN if they want me to go on they send you for a physical, a drug test and to take the CDL test at the MVA...all of which would have to be done basically by the end of the month.

So, all of this and no guarantee of a permanent bus route or if it would be a route with enough hours to be worth it or a route of the closest depot to our house. (Some routes are only 5 hours she said.):confused3 So I don't know.:confused3 Should I just wait & see if nothing else comes up? Maybe they'll have a class for August?:scared:

Gertrude - what a cute Tinkerbell you have!

 CamColt...can you have a mimosa or a screwdriver before church to relax? :goodvibes

Important Update for dining on the Wonder, and times and Nassau!!

Dining Times:
Effective Sunday, May 11, 2008, on the Disney Wonder 3- and 4-night sailings , main Dining will be at 5:45 p.m., and Second Dining will be at 8:15 p.m.

The staggered dining concept on the Disney Wonder is being suspended for a 90-day period.

At this time the Magic will continue with the staggered dining times.

Disney Wonder 5:30 p.m. Departure from Nassau
Because DCL has found that the majority of guests return to the Disney Wonder in the late afternoon so that they have time to prepare for the evening’s activities onboard, effective Sunday, May 11, 2008 DCL will now be sailing from Nassau at 5:30 p.m. All aboard is scheduled for 5:15 p.m. on the 3- and 4-night sailings.

So, now everyone is eating at 5:45 or 8:15, and we will have to be onboard at Nassau by 5:15 p.m.

Bob, Matt (LOL) Happy 18th birthday to you! I hope it's a great one (oh to be 18 again.)

Annie, good luck with the bus driver thing. I know that around here even though you don't work full time hours, the bus drivers are full time employees with full benefits. It's a bit of work to get ready but if you can take the stress of the kids on the bus it's not a bad job.

Oh, thats a tough one, Annie. I guess just think about if this is what you really want to do and then if so, pursue it.

LOL! I'm not planning on one before, but plenty after. :thumbsup2 I've accepted the fact Im going to freeze. I got a new outfit just for this (and probably for the cruise too). I went nuts trying to find something and when I finally did, I got stuck in traffic for over an hour on a stretch of highway that usually takes about 3 or 4 minutes to drive. Darn gas leaks! :headache: So I'm wearing this no matter what. I think the only major issue is I will have open toe shoes which may be a bit chilly in 55 degree temps and rain.

OMG! Sue Ellen, when I read that earlier I thought, Oh, 90 days, we just miss it. Now that I read your post I realized we are almost 2 months away not 3. DOH!

Well, so we don't have any idea what our rotation will be, right? I don't understand why they need to change the departure time just 'cuz some people come back early on their own?! That means we'll have to cut our time shorter at Atlantis....:headache: Extra glad I was able to get that cheaper rate at the CS this morning! Well, we're doing Palo on night 2 at 8:00 regardless of which restaurant I guess. Guess we'll all be surprised then with our rotation, right? Or will we all still rotate together??

I am not committed (yet) to either the bus driver or the party consultant thing!:rotfl: I do now have 4 definite yes's for party hosts and 2 maybe's. (I was hoping to find 6 definite yes's before deciding about it - just to boost my confidence level!!)

We ARE getting close now aren't we?! I need to work on some more door signs!

CamColt - you won't be OUTSIDE the whole time will you? Just car to church...church to car etc., right?! You'll be OK...wear some knee highs!! And go ahead with a pre-church drink!!! You have my permission!

party:HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOB!!! :bday:

need a prom date?

:rotfl2: :rotfl: :lmao:  Oh Cheri, thats scary!

Annie, I hae crop pants with open toe shoes...knee highs with that would be as funny as that picture above. :rotfl2:

Oh do it! Do it! Dare you!:lmao: Then YOU could be Bob's prom date! (I thought you were wearing a PANT SUIT!):rotfl2:

Happy Birthday, Bob/Matt, future aero engineer!! Today was Senior convocations at ds17 high school at Jesuit. The top 3 highest grades in the AP Physics received awards. All 3 boys are majoring in aero engineering. That's the first time in Jesuit history that the top 3 have the same major.

Annie, I haven't voted. I don't like party planning and I don't think I can drive a bus because I can't drive my minivan well now. Actually it's parking and backing out. I do occasionally hit the curve when I turn but I guess I did the same thing when I had a mini SUV. But if I had to choose, then it would be the bus driving. Do you get paid during the training? Then definitely pick the bus driving and look at the same time. If you will not lose your job, go to the training class and skip out after lunch to the class graduation.

I started a thread about the Discover Atlantis tour though DCL. I think we will just venture on our own and catch up with InLaws doing it through DCL. DH keeps telling me that the purpose of this trip is to spend time as a family withhis parnets esp since one is going off to college. So I don't think we will do comfort suites. I'm glad you saved money there.

CamColt, have fun at first communion. My kids are so far apart that I can't find the 1st comm tie I bought for DS17. We have morning and afternoon 1st comm. I picked afternoon for my 2nd son so that I can borrow my friend's son's tie who wore it in the morning. I've already lined up another tie for for my last son who will have his 1st comm in 2 years. The only thing everybody will remember if any kid dropped their communion. But I know how your are feeling. I took off today to finish sewing but I shopped all day instead. So now I'm figuring out what to do for HS grad party. Everybody is dying to see the renovations we did to this new house. I'm about to bail and find a restaurant.

all,
Did I miss the part of what everone is wearing at Palo? I just want to know if I have to pack a long dress or just a cocktail dress. Then what are we earing for formal night dinner if that is not your night to Palo? I've got my pirate outfit picked out.

I do know that when grad party is over, I am concentrating to pack for the Wonder Peeps boat trip! Oh, to add the stress of packing, DS and I have to go to CalPoly on July 16 & 17 to some freshman orientation. We are flying to CA. We return on the 18 just in time to unpack & reoganize to start driving to our cruise, family reunion in Tampa, and a 5 night stay at WDW!!

Cheri: Prom Date! bahaha -:rotfl2: I hope fishie is having a good cruise.

Bets & Beano: Stop it right now or I will stop this car!! And you will not be happy if I have to stop this car!! :rotfl: popcorn::

RJ - Going to ranch this weekend...whatchu doing??

May - we are not doing Palo so I am no help on the dressing question. Sorry.

Annie - can you get certified in the next class then be "on a list" for the next round of hiring?? Why go back to work over the summer?? Blech I say. Start looking when school starts again.

SE - dining rotation clarification please. We are 8:15 pm yes? I will need to rearrange babysitting times if not.

Must to be thinking of clever graduation gifts. Cousins son is graduating HS this year also. And RJ I forgot to tell you. Friend of Mom and Stepdad have a son going to ER with MattBob! He will be starting this fall - aero eng. w/ the flight option.:thumbsup2 Small world.

We are heathens. (Well, we do not attend church and I feel guilty sometimes 'cuz we never even got DS baptized. I know! BAD Mommy! I keep telling myself that God knows it's not his fault and will take care of him.)

Palo...hummm...we are going on "dress up night". I will take a dress shirt, tie & sport coat for DH and I bought a fun little cocktail dress to bring (found it on the clearance rack at Lord & Taylor for $30 last fall).

I do not envy you with 2 trips within a week! I would have to start packing for both, separately 2 weeks ahead! I would buy new undies if I had to in order to have enough and be DONE before going on the first one!

Annie - can you get certified in the next class then be "on a list" for the next round of hiring?? Why go back to work over the summer?? Blech I say. Start looking when school starts again.

But my ENVELOPES!! My envelope funds are not getting anything stashed in them!! I had 3 going, remember?! One for this summer's vacation spending money, one for more DVC points and one for our 2012 cruise fund! :sad2: And nevermind that I've perfected the Ramen Noodle cooking technique already and could write a recipe book of nothing but Ramen Noodle delicacies! :scratchin :lmao:

I have a couple "little black dresses" probably along the lines of "semi formal". I will likely wear those to Palo & on dress up night.

i know..I am shameless with my dress pic...

bad betsy...bad!
