A DISNEY 7 DAY WESTERN CRUISE!!!!!:faint:

Aprils fools????

Sorry to hear about Steve's Uncle Sue Ellen. There sure are a lot of deaths lately. I was at a wake last night myself. My Dad's cousin. :(

YAH!! LET"S GO!!!
SueEllen..is this trip going to interrupt what we were praying for on Friday??

You almost had me with the free Disney cruise.

Not sure on the trip thing and Friday. We are waiting for details, but if it involves driving to TN then I may have to reschedule the Friday problem. I'm not looking forward to this week.

Sue Ellen - I am sorry for you guys too! What's going on with the peeps these days?! Enough of the bad news already!

OK, so I'm ba-a-a-c-c-k from my interview. I honestly don't know how to interpret how it went.:confused3 The job is a new position in a brand new dept. so there wasn't really a lot of details about the position as it will sort of evolve with the dept. So the lady I interviewed with is busy creating this dept. of like 12-15 people it looked like from her little tree thing. She will ultimately be over the whole dept. but she hasn't hired the Manager for the dept. yet (the person that the job will ultimately report to). :scared: SO-O she is busy interviewing like all day every day for all of these positions right now. She said she will be interviewing for this position probably thru the end of next week and that she hasn't decided if she will do a 2nd interview with anyone or not. She wasn't sure it would be necessary.:confused3 She said it is business casual dress but I totally forgot to ask what the hours were! She said I could email her if I thought of anything else to ask but I should just let that go, right? I tried to relax and be myself - but I was honest about the things that I don't know how to do that they are looking for (like extensive calendar management in Outlook) last thing I want to do is get into a situation where I can't do something & they think I can. But I just can't picture the calendar management thing being TOO COMPLICATED to learn, right? I told her it would be a new skill for me to learn. So I am afraid I probably won't be the top candidate. I plan on mailing her an old fashioned Thank You letter tomorrow but I am not going to put all of my eggs into one basket and will keep looking while I wait.

with your knack for wining radio contests I almost believed you. Bad Betsy!

The answer to the magic mirror question is Romper Room
thank you! But neither of you are old enough to have watched it. You googled it, right?

"Romper, bomper, stomper boo. Tell me, tell me, tell me, do. Magic mirror, tell me today. Have all my friends had fun at play?"

I see Cheri, Sean, Betsy and Beano.......:lmao:

I even owned a pair of romper stompers! Kewl wasn't I? :lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I have never seen Romper Room...Capt Kangaroo..Electric Company..Mr Rogers but not RR

ok..you got me...no cruise..just thought I would throw in a April Fools joke

:lmao: I was not recalling the magic mirror until I read this!!:lmao:

Mister Rogers was CRRREEEEPPPPYYY!!:scared:

OK - question:

Hypothetically speaking, say you are going on a cruise:rolleyes: and are taking your 1 year old daughter. Its a 4 day cruise so you are allowed to pre-book 10 hours of babysitting service.

When do you reserve babysitting time??

OK DISCUSS!!

Um.............

dinner hour, some CC time, spa, bar dancing in your pj's!, shopping time, private parental time:rolleyes1

I guess it depends on how you wanna spend it :confused3

What shall be your priorities? Make a list ;)

what happened to the neighbor's daughter (to be nanny)? :cutie:
Rj's right: bar dancing night to be sure. Dad can watch while Mom massages. Ummm.... don't forget you can get more time when you board, right? That might be the first place you go once you get on - to get lot's more time.

I would forgo the old fashioned thank you letter unless you really really want but it is going to make you seem kind of old fashioned. A thank you email containing a few more questions about the position would probably be more appropriate. It will show her that you are interested in the position even after the interview. The hours question is a good one. I wouldn't worry too much about the Outlook thing but remember for next time, your canned answer for MS office should be, "I may not have experience in every aspect of MS office but I have never had any trouble learning new features." :)

Hummm. An email to say thank you is appropriate these days? Really?! Hummm. So, my taking a copy of my resume today to give to her all printed out nicely on Ivory Resume paper along with my References page was not a good thing either 'eh? I guess I AM old fashioned...I have always done a follow up letter thru the mail on coordinating paper stock with matching envelopes... But then again, I've really only ever had like 3 jobs ever so this interviewing thing is not something I've had a lot of practice with!:sad2: I think I had 2, maybe 3 interviews back in 1984 before I got my job at B.F. Saul Co. then I was there for 18 1/2 yrs. Then I probably had 3 or 4 interviews before my next job. I was there 3 yrs. Then I think I had 3 interviews before my last job. Since I have never been a job hopper, I don't know all the ropes! I guess a highly progressive company like this might call for different tactics. I need a live feed directly to you for these questions!

So swimming started up again this evening. I don't know if DS's strokes are improving or not but at least he's getting 50 minutes of exercise twice a week! Sure does make the evenings go by in a WHOOSH tho! :goodvibes

Every dinner hour!? What are you saying?? You don't want to dine with my 1 year old throwing food at you??

I am sooooo insulted right now.

CC time....maybe unless she naps at the beach.:lmao: that's a good one.

Spa time...not happening. I can spa it up at home.:thumbsup2

Of course pj dancing time.:woohoo:

Shopping time....eh...we are thinking of doing a catamaran snorkel thing that would allow Linden to go so shopping time is limited.
