both checks only totalled $20 so that purse is gonna fall apart before I get to see it

except T doesn't eat, remember? now, Cas, that's a definate possibility. but, alas, I checked all the checks again (and looked in all 32 envelopes). I'm just glad that both checks totalled less than $20 and I know that I didn't drop them onthe street somewhere for someone to pick them up. The fact that I have them logged in on the paper work (which only went between dining and family rooms) means they have to be here. Arg! Make it all better, friend Ronnie

Happy Sunday!

We spent about 1.5 hrs by the pool today...getting some sun! It was so pretty..very breezy..81..bright sun. Now the sun has gone behind some clouds and it is about 75..this weekend was perfect weather!

Getting my roast chicken ready for dinner..Lemon, garlic, thyme..risotto with peas (see! I do eat cheri!! just small portions)
After last night and tonight..I should have my lunches for the week!

I have an interview tomorrow morning for a new administrative assistant... She worked on one of our sites for the general contractor, but they had cut backs and begrudingly let her go..I hope to snag her up because she is very smart!!

oh...gotta go start my lemon poppyseed bread too..Kate asked for it for her birthday cake, but I forgot and just got her a publix cake!

Question: duffle bags... now that airlines are getting stricter on luggage weight and all, I'm wondering about getting duffle bags. Pottery Barn has a bi gone that only weighs 9#. My suitcase weighs at least 15#. Discuss.

I don't fly..so I have no idea of the rules..

If I hire her, I am hoping they will stop giving me a hard time about leaving at 1pm on Fridays! Also, she will take some of the menial tasks like making copies, faxing stuff...you know..things that men think are a WOMANS job!! Ha!! I was told last secretary's day (when I mentioned the date) that if I wanted to make a secretary's salary rather than an asst. project manager..they would buy me flowers

I have decided that duffles are THE WAY to go when flying! I am a duffle bag convert! A 30" duffle holds a boat load - and you can pack it to exactly 50 Lbs 'cuz it's lighter weight to start with! I found this one last fall at TJ Maxx for only $60 (it was last yrs model in a bright blue): http://www.ebags.com/travelpro/walkabout_lite_2_30_rolling_duffel/product_detail/index.cfm?modelid=98697. This is the bag I used to go to FL in January - I got all 3 of us in it for the 4 nights and it weighed exactly 50 Lbs. - I loved it! Summer stuff will take up MUCH less room and will weigh less! I also really like the looks of this one & if I was working right now I'd order it too...I ordered one made very similar one to this (made by Skyway) that has since been discontinued...but I LOVE how this zips open all the way down the side - so you can see in w/o digging thru it...but THIS one has those tie down straps - you never see those in duffles! Both of these have "feet" so they will stand up on their ends w/o tipping over too! I saw this 2nd one in a luggage store & it looked to be well made. I believe if you go over 28-30" in size you WILL pack more than 50 Lbs in them!! I don't think either of these will FOLD COMPLETELY FLAT (they'll mush a little) but they're well made and will hold up well.

The website looks great BTW! But I am a bit confused what the "quiz / game" is tho with the peep matching...what are we supposed to do?!

I thought this was very cute. Cas wrote this during a writing lesson. She was given a topic and had 5 minutes:

My idea of the perfect vacation is going on a Disney cruise in the Caribbean with my friends and family. I love to visit Castaway Cay, a private Disney island in the Bahamas. On Castaway Cay, you can snorkle in the ocean, pet rays, make hermit crab condos, go boating, ride bikes around the island and have fun with Disney characters. Parasailing and searching for a hidden Mickey Mouse is also a lot of fun. The water at Castaway Cay is crystal blue. The temperature is warm and the sun is always shining. It is my idea of a perfect vacation because I am free to do what I want, when I want and I can have fun with my family and friends.

In a perfect world, everything would revolve around Disney. People would live in cities that looked like Main Street USA.... (she ran out of time to finish)
