Neil and I went to High School together. Good Friends until later - he was in grad school and I was wondering what Neil was doing with his life.

I called DCL about the passport thing today! DS's expires in Dec. so it's only valid for 5 months not the "required" 6 months. She told me they still won't accept it as valid ID and that we would still have to bring his birth certificate - so I may as well get him a new one in May after his birthday. (TRM - I think BC = Birth Certificate!) I mean we COULD take the birth certificate but I'd rather not.


1 Million people on the mall...will think of it as WDW w/o rides! The blossoms DID open yest/today - tomorrow will be SUNNY...so even tho it will be cold it will be gorgeous! I am DETERMINED to see these freaking blossoms this year!


CamColt...how I met DH! I robbed the cradle! He got a job at my OLD company (the one where I worked for 18 1/2 years)! He started the year he graduated from HS working in the basement storage area cleaning and organizing as summer help! (Like that would ever happen HERE / NOW! ) Anyway, then he got "promoted" to the mailroom! We started dating after a couple of years....I think I insisted that he had to be 21 first or something!

Met DH when he was a paramedic and I was a registrar at the Emergency Room..I was a senior in high school..he was...28!! (how my father didn't kill him..i don't know)
He had broken up with his girlfriend and he thought I had a crush on another paramedic..he said to me "if you didn't have the hots for Scrop, I would ask you out"...so I said "You don't see a ring on my finger"
He walked out of my office, then turned around walked back in and said " well...if there isn't a ring...want to go out to dinner?"

We dated for 4 months and then he decided that i was sweet but too young...he got back with his ex

Fast forward 8 years..ex left and we ran into each other...

the REST is history!!



and now we are getting re-married!!


ETA - I had the wrong # we dated in 1989 got back together in 1997

Cool stories! Isnt it funny how things just seem to work out?

I met DH at a bar. We ran into each other 3 different nights before we finally exchanged numbers. Something was drawing us together.

What a sweetheart Dr. Evatt is. She had to cut the gum a bit because she wanted the crown to fit properly and she kept telling me how sorry she was. Last night at 6:30 my phone rang and it was her calling to make sure I was OK. I never had a dentist that concerned about me. I think I will keep her

"How we met" that's a long wacky story in itself. I'll try to make it short and to the point


Beano's older sister married my Dad (so yes, we were related before we were even married) . We met when we were around 7 & 10 yrs old.<insert teenage yrs here> Lived together for 3 years, and then married. We will be celebrating our 19th anniversary this June.

Married 19 years but we've known each other for over 30 yrs

While I am waiting for my ride to go boy scout camping (the men went Fri night), I finished my jr in HS (1981), DH finished freshman at college. We met working at McD. I didn't remember him because it was my 1st day and his last day before his 5 week JROTC cruise thingy. I was going to study engineering at the same college as DS where he was studying civil engineering.

Everybody at McD kept telling me that I need to meet DH and date him. We seem to have the same likes. Finally he came back to work before 1 week of college and my sr HS. WOW, it hit me that I was going to marry him. He knew when he saw me at the parking lot of my 1st day. We did not start dating until I went to the same college. We've been married since Aug 1985.

That's our story and my ride is here.

I'm still around. Also, I had 3 yes 3 chances to have a goal at my soccer game last night. If I ever get to score, I get a new COMPUTER!! Kids only get a Lego or a wii game.

Woo-hoo, May! (I remember my soccer days (mostly) fondly.) You'll get that goal soon. What position do you play? My whole fmaily has played at one time or another. TRM coaches DD#1's team. So there are a few "soccerheads" around. Have fun camping.

OK, it's cold here - well, for Spring Break. 60 degrees (anyone know how to get that little degree mark?) Ummm, there was a lady in Target this morning, "Momma, that lady is sunburned!" Poor girl needs some beach time! And, I, as a good Mom, need to take her there. Now Mrs. Sun, please to be cooperating!

Congrats Bets on 51!!! I swear I'm sending chocs!

Apparently I had TOO much last night (nothing like getting hammered to end a rotten day.) I was up in the middle of the night sick, sick, sick--it's been a LONG TIME since I pulled one like that!!! Whew--still feel rotten today.

Hehehe, Steve tells me I'm not allowed to EWI (email while intoxicated) and not to even go near the computer...but you know me! I'M HARDHEADED!! So, needless to say it was one heck of an evening. I think I fell asleep shortly after posting that (okay, passed out--whatever )

Let's just say I could use a few prayers Friday morning. It would be appreciated.

RJ--I thought Annie was the one from West Virginia and here you are the one that married your uncle (sorry Annie, couldn't resist--and for the rest of you all--local joke for the East Coast and Virginia.)

Okay, so on the how we met thought, Steve & I met when I was 17 and we met at Putt Putt Golf. I was working there as a 2nd job and he was a 'professional putt-putter' You know, like the ones you see on TV We were both dating other people at the time, but hung out together that summer before I left for college. When I came home from my freshman year we were both single, and started dating right away, and the next year we were married. We will have our 19th wedding anniversary this year. (I was a baby when I married him...hehehe)

Annie, did you go into the city for the Cherry Blossom Festival? We were there for the festival about 2 years ago. It's so beautiful there (and Tara was just there last week for a field trip, and most of the trees were blooming.) It's so beautiful to see them.
