tanning... I do it the old fashioned way. Now I can call it "cruise prep". "Not now, Mom has to sit outside and read for an hour to prepare for the cruise in two months." (Katie, and as far as DIS'ers seeing you in shorts, I am waiting for the Hilo Hatties to open in SD so I can go buy a muu muu...)

Will have to discuss brunch w/ Chris. If none of the buds are going, he might opt for an early start on helping Head's Up deplete their Coors Light supply. Someone mentioned sending the guys early to get hammocks and space and the ladies coming along later.

Wait is Hilo Hatties coming to SD!!! I love that store!!

And yes I voted previously for the guys to go early and stake out hammocks. But my guy will have kids in tow so other guys will have to vote on whether or not that is allowed.

I for one don't plan on doing brunch. As much as I enjoy it, I don't want to give up a good portion of my day on CC for it. tarzanman and I discussed the idea of having breakfast at Tritons around 8AM, then heading to the island. I am betting that our buddy Chris will fall in line with that plan. Perhaps some of the other guys in our group will join us so you ladies can enjoy a guy-free brunch. We can secure several lounges/hammocks on the stretch of beach near Beano's Bar... I mean Head's Up Bar. Y'all can chow down on pasta and sweet pizza; we'll just have to settle for burgers and beer on the island.



We'll see if we cain't run them out of Coors Light again!!

Neil might be up for breakfast with the boys. I mean he would like to have breakfast with the boys. I will actually have to wake him up and get him to Tritons at 8 am.

aw, c'mon now, Head's Up only had, what, 2 or 3 cases on hand? (j/k Beanozie) did we run them out of Cakebread Chard too or was that in '04? wanna talk about a bar bill!!!

Katie, if that scares you, hold on to your hat. That's pretty tame. Betsy streaks on deck 10 and TRM gives topless hula lessons for 10 bucks a head. Did we forget to tell you bout that?

With the help of multiple HD video cameras around I don't think we will miss anything. You might even catch someone mooning you in a tree it is possible you know a big tree could just be in front of you and you could be tempted to pull your pants down and moon your friends and possibly some random strangers yes it did happen (although Ophie doesn't believe me because she hasn't seen it on DVD....hint hint hint ) Ophie muttered something that sounded suspiciously like, "quit messin with the dead peeps and make me my DVD you pucker" I think that I could have some of that wrong though.

YUP! Saw it with my own eyes (and laughed so hard!) It's a good thing Steve doesn't drink Coors Lite (well, I think he had a couple that day)

Beano ALWAYS seemed to have that video camera around, so watch out. There is no 'what happens on vacation stays on vacation' when Mr. Beans is around

Bar bills--that is something I know all too well. My last cruise the bar bill was almost as much as the spa bill.

Well, looks like Steve & I may be doing brunch alone He won't do brunch with a bunch of women, and wants to do brunch, so....iffin none of you guys are going to enjoy brunch with us it looks like we will be solo Katie are you and your husband doing Palo brunch?

We figure with 3 days at Castaway Cay we can definitely take a couple of hours to enjoy that wonderful Palo brunch. We will still be ashore by 1pm at least so we'll have several hours of fun and two more days of Castaway Cay as well.

Annie, I hope the job search goes well for you. It can be so frustrating (we have definitely been there) but something better always ends up coming along.

Absolutely RJ--As long as there are at least 12 people I can still request the Palo dining room (I won't dessert you!) Let me know who is going. If there are several of the guys we will join, but Steve definitely does not want to be the only guy there in a group of women. LOL!

LOL, Sue Ellen! Our last cruise was a last minute TA discount cruise...I think our on board account, which was mostly drinks, was more than the cruise itself!

We are still working on Palo. Or I should say I am. I have asked Peter but keep getting "You decide, you always plan everything right....". Hes no help!

I was looking at some Navigators on line and the one I saw had brunch beginining at 10:00. From the pictures Ive seen of this, it looks like a buffet type thing. Is it serve yourself or is it full service, like dinner? I guess what I'm wondering is can we go at our own pace(a quick pace), or will it be dragged out?

I agree, if its just a girl thing and we are to do it, we will probably do it alone(or if you and Steve want to join us Sue Ellen, feel free).

I see that it runs only 1 hour, but is it at various times throughout the day or just 1 daily. Maybe we could change to doing that the last day on the beach since its only 1 hour. Hmmm???

I will drag opinions out of Peter this weekend and hopefully have an answer on the brunch soon.

I was looking at some Navigators on line and the one I saw had brunch beginining at 10:00. From the pictures Ive seen of this, it looks like a buffet type thing. Is it serve yourself or is it full service, like dinner? I guess what I'm wondering is can we go at our own pace(a quick pace), or will it be dragged out?

CC excursions... I had called DCL about them awhile back 'cuz I wondered about the time for the Seahorse Catamaran snorkeling thing & went ahead & got the scoop on everything else too. Both the parasailing and the stingray thing run every hour on the hour from 9 - 3:00! Now I've read that with the stingray thing the water gets mucked up a bit after people are stirring around in it all day... Didn't TRM & Betsy do this one before - they may be able to confirm / add to that thought?!

Girl Scout cookies came in today. I was doing pretty good...I lost 9 lbs since January. Then I went away and gained a good chunk of it back. Just when I got going again, the cookies have invaded!

JUST IN CASE you're counting the calories associated with these things...there are 4 Thin Mints in a serving for 150 calories, however in comparison, you only get 2 Tagalongs per serving for the same 150 calories!

Chris wants to get off the ship with his buds. He said he pretty much figured that he'd be taking the kids (smart man, he). Cas wants to make sure Kate will be there to play with though. One thing Im really liking about doing the back to back, is if we miss something once, we dont have to worry. Like I always feel that we miss stuff like Mickey Mania, (etc..) because we are getting ready to go to the show, then dinner. Well now we can miss each show once and do other stuff. This is a definite perk!
