Hope that the Tigger folks are enjoying their new truck! I hope that they got a great deal on it. :thumbsup2

We are Tim, and wanted to Thank you again for the pin number and all the help :worship: :grouphug: :grouphug: .

We got the truck for under invoice, for what the dealer paid for it. The lady who helped us was shocked that the pin number brought the price so low, so once again a million Thank Yous, I shall buy you and Sarah your first sailaway drink and a few more during our cruise.

Anyone who is looking to buy a Ford, Lincoln-Mercury or any other cars or trucks in the Ford family of vehicles, let Tim help you with a pin number, trust me when I say you will get a great deal this is the second time we used the pin number and it worked out great for us, and we may be using it again to trade in our Fusion for an Edge....

Morning!

rainy and yucky here today...wish I was in bed!

That's all I got right now...need to get busy!:surfweb:

Anyone hear ever watch the show called "Mythbusters"?

I am taking Matt tonight to see Jaime and Adam speak at Fresno State University...we're hoping to get some pictures, guess we'll have to wait and see.

Have a nice day all :goodvibes

Morning!

Checking in to do my part to keep us up here.

Glad you are liking the truck, T&P! TZM, you guys rest up. Yikes!

Not much happening here...just working, and trying to figure out what to pack. I could pack if I knew what to bring, but I just cant figure it out...other than everything in my closet.

Johnna, are you home yet? How was DL???? Hows the weather? ;)

Your fog delays are just like our snow delays! Have to get up to find out!

Yes - we watch Mythbusters...well, esp. DH! Matt not Bob? Very cool...post pics! I will tell DH!

LOL!
I was just reading the thread after we came back in June!

DUDE!!!

"borrowed" this from another thread: :lmao:

Dieting now THIS makes sense!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

FITNESS AND HEALTH

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Should I cut down on meat and eat more fruits and vegetables?

A: You must grasp logistical efficiencies. What does a cow eat? Hay and corn. And what are these? Vegetables. So a steak is nothing more than an efficient mechanism of delivering vegetables to your system. Need grain? Eat chicken. Beef is also a good source of field grass (green leafy vegetable). And a pork chop can give you 100% of your recommended daily allowance of vegetable products.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Should I reduce my alcohol intake?

A: No, not at all. Wine is made from fruit. Brandy is distilled wine, that means they take the water out of the fruity bit so you get even more of the goodness that way. Beer is also made out of grain. Bottoms up!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?

A: Well, if you have a body and you have fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?

A: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain...Good!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Aren't fried foods bad for you?

A: YOU'RE NOT LISTENING!!! .... Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?

A: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Is chocolate bad for me?

A: Are you crazy? HELLO Cocoa beans! Another vegetable!!! It's the best feel-good food around!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Q: Is getting in-shape important for my lifestyle?

A: Hey! 'Round' is a shape!

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, I hope this has cleared up any misconceptions you may have had about food and diets.

And remember:
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways - Chardonnay in one hand - chocolate in the other - body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO HOO, What a Ride"

WELL it started freezing rain around 3:00 this afternoon so swimming was cancelled again. Whew! I was relieved as I stepped out of the office onto a sheet of ice and had to spend 10 min. scraping the car. THEN I had to go vote! Only 24 degrees. Passed 2 wrecks within 5 min. of leaving work. Winter weather advisory until 7:00 am. Expecting a possible school delay in the morning!:headache: At least dinner is basically made tho (planned for leftovers since I THOUGHT we'd be heading back out by 7:00)!! Then we can watch AI at a normal time and go to bed (alarm went off at 4:00 for DH to get up)!

OK, where's TRM? Isn't she back from DL yet?!

OK, so I have a question about this Atlantis thing at Nassau. DCL offers what looks like the full shebang for $155 pp (incl. access to the water slides I think). THAT'S a lot of Captain Morgan there folks! $155!:scared: GeezeOFlips! The internet rate for the Comfort Suites for one nite is $215. OK, so that's $250 less (for us). BUT, it says check-in at 3:00. How do you book this room for the day and still get wristbands? Will they let you check in early and give them to you EARLY when we first get off the boat and go over there? Anybody know anybody who's actually DONE this? And are any of YOU thinking about doing this? I know my DS would love this............

Q: Is swimming good for your figure?

A: If swimming is good for your figure, explain whales to me.

:lmao:

Annie, we had thrown around the idea of doing that since we never have. I don't know know much about it. Convince me. ;)

OK - let's see...picture 3 boys and their Dads off together on water slides while their Mom's sip tropical drinks by the pool while we :worship: the sun!:lmao: Actually, I would probably like the water slides too...at least somewhat. I like knowing there is cool water nearby when I get hot laying out. (Yes, I'm one to lay out all day if I get the chance!)

I haven't really talked to DH about it yet - but just quickly looking over the options for Nassau I would guess we'll do this on at least one of the stops! DS is a water bug! :) I just really hate to spend $155 pp!! That's almost as much as our helicopter rides in Hawaii. Well. Not QUITE. But that's a LOT. I know we'll bring our own snorkel gear for CC...not sure if we'll plan a true excursion or not. The website doesn't specify TIMES for these things. Like what if we want to do parasailing and the stingray thing on the same day for example...how do you know the timing? I would guess knowing us we will plan at least one thing for each day tho. Most of these excursions are pretty short so they still leave a lot of the day to goof off it looks like.:confused3 We've never been to CC...but I am looking forward to a little down time tho!:goodvibes

ok, so the only thing I had on me was my camera phone...but here are Jaime & Adam aka "The Mythbusters"

mythbusterguys2.jpg

it was very cool :thumbsup2

Well, we're all iced up this morning. Just like I figured. :headache: Hope all our FL peeps are OK from yesterdays wild weather down there!?

So, our IT dept. sent out one of those "reminder" emails to everyone yesterday about proper internet useage...I think Big Brother is watching so I'd better watch my P's & Q's at work for a few days.:confused3 Maybe? Do ya think they're watching?

So RJ - what did Adam & Jaime talk about?

TRM - you make it back from DL OK?! Let's hear all about it!

CamColt - you'd better start packing!

So RJ - what did Adam & Jaime talk about?

They talked about themselves, the show and how things work and then the audience got to ask questions. They showed us some unaired footage :thumbsup2 and talked about some up-coming shows and themes. All in all, it was very cool :woohoo:

Looks like another foggy day schedule for us here (although I won't know for sure until after 6:30) :rolleyes1

We are ok..just alot of wind, rain and lightning..they said we had over 3000 strikes in our area last night..and we got about 2" of rain. Not enough to raise the lake, but it will help with some of the canals being so low

2 hour snow delay here. UGH!

Annie, sounds good. If we do that it would be the 2nd time. The first Nassau day (anniversary!) we are staying on board to do either a couples massage or the mud thing. :rolleyes1
I think we are going to parasail our first CC day. then I have to figure out when to do the Stingrays. But first I have to figure out what to pack for next week!!!!

We had a 2 hour delay as well for the ice this morning. The receptionist lives up in another county & she had orig. called & said she'd try to be here by Noon...now she just called & said she's not coming at all...I didn't think she would. So, now that I'm out taking a shift on the switchboard I'm ignoring the email from IT about staying off message boards ETC... I am still working, right?! I'm just doing someone else's job!:goodvibes

The mud thing 'eh? What's that little number called? (since it's not a shore excursion - where do you find it)?! I'm not picturing me getting into that one but DH might (it's not our anniv. but I'm still trying to come up with ways to get more DVC points)!:rotfl2: I still need to figure out how this "day room" thing works at the Comfort Suites. I suppose I may have to post my own thread out there about it 'eh?!:confused3

:scared1: These excursions are starting to add up! I just looked on the DCL website again & noticed that they also have one that is called the "Dolphin Cay Aquaventure" (6-8 hrs) that is a "dolphin encounter" not a "dolphin swim" whatever THAT means AND it includes the slides ETC. for the Atlantis water park thingy. For a mere $285 pp!!

OK, so other Nassau options...there's also something called "Blue Lagoon Island Dolphin Encounter" for only $99 pp - again they call it an encounter not a swim. WHAT is the difference please? Anybody done these before?! HELP!

$155 pp for the "Atlantis Aquaventure" only.

Do we want to catarmaran / snorkel on CC or at Nassau? :confused3

We could do the Comfort Suites thing for $215 if I can figure that out and the "Blue Lagoon" dolphin thing for a grand total of only $512 for the 3 of us (plus taxes I'm sure...)

OR we could do the Cat. snorkel for $45 pp or the Caribbean Queen snorkel for $37 pp and the Comfort Suites... Crap. I don't know!!

OH, and there's also Blackbeards Stingray thing on Nassau - anybody know how that compares to the one on CC?

You guys have all been there before & done some of these things! Any recommendations?! What is just absolutely NOT worth it? I am so glad we have our snorkel equip. to bring too...I would hate to rent it ea. day! I'm assuming there's a place on CC to snorkel "for free" if you have your own gear?!
