We are out of our misery....basketball season is over. Last year Cams team didnt lose a game...this year we won 1. Today we ended the season on a great note...we played the best team and lost 44-24. Ouch! And just like last week one of players got a great basket, but in the wrong end. Cam actually shot at the wrong one, following someone else, but at least he missed!

Still hoping ours will change. When I booked the stateroom I wasn't thinking about the location, then when I tried to change it found out they are on guarantee status only So I'll send you ours (as it is now) and hopefully we will change it at the port or if lucky before.

Morning ya'll...

WAY to go Betsy on your size 14! That's awesome! You must be so-o happy about that!

Well, the 5th grade night ski trip turned into a bit of a bust. We get there & there were a lot of families (mostly of boys) but they had pretty much all decided to just tube. I didn't take our boots for tubing but DS wanted to tube with his friends. So we put some toe warmers in his tennis shoes & let him go for 2 hours while we sat there in the lodge & watched. We really didn't want to tube again. There were a couple other parents that didn't tube too - we talked for awhile with this Scott Kinney guy who's brother, Jeff, wrote this kids book called "Diary of a Wimpy Kid". It's a really funny book for ES school age & it's done really well on the best seller list - anyway, he just released a sequel which we haven't picked up yet - but they are a funny family. The brother lives up your way somewhere CamColt.

OK, so anyway, he tubed from 4-6:00 then we went down & did the night skiing until 10:00. Once the sun went down it started getting really icy. This was the first time we had gone at night - it made it hard to see the icy spots. There are a couple of colleges not far from this ski resort so there were a lot of college age kids with their snowboards. LOTS - probably for the cheaper rates. I don't like the snowboarders. They are always down & you have to avoid them, a lot of them are inconsiderate & some are toooooo fast. ANYWAY, I did a lot better with the new boots and actually graduated off of my little bunny hill up to a couple of the green trails! Although I don't think I'll be training for the Olympics any time soon, I did OK on one & not so good on the other. I fell on the 2nd one twice - it had a couple of really sharp turns that I wasn't ready for! I still panic when I pick up too much speed & for some reason the snow on this trail was really bumpy + it was icy - just too much for me. On my 2nd fall I lost a ski & hurt my back a little. So I went back to the other trail & stuck to it. But I get a little better each time we go. My last 2 runs were much faster! It's just really hard to teach an old dog new tricks but I'm gonna keep trying!

TRM is livin' it up at DL....RJ should be done reading the paper by now....Betsy...welllll, Betsy is probably doing unmentionable things that people without kids for the weekend do with their spare time....TiggerandPooh are probably out 4 wheeling in the new truck....Beano, TZM and Ophie have 'bout given up on us....that leaves Cheri....she's probably doing something craftsy like making fish extenders or else she's doing something technical like working on the new webpage thing-a-ma-bob....

A day in the life of the peeps!

I worked, did laundry, ran to Target, and did a bit of packing (just the toiletries bag). I hate trips like this...clothes are so hard to decide on. We literally need all season stuff. July will be so much easier....summer!

Yum... I went with shrimp & scallops sauted with lemon butter then mixed with Orzo & steamed peas and covered with a crushed red pepper, sage, garlic and EVOO concoction tonight. Who else had peas tonight?

We will probably find CamColt and TiggerandPooh frozen in a block of ice somewhere up north! Brrrrr....cold one even here today (mid-teens + the wind)! NOW they're making snow at our little ski resort place!!

Should we try to go back again this weekend? It will be crowded 'cuz of it being Pres. Day weekend & all....but the snow / slope conditions will be so-o much better...DH has to work on Monday (lumber yards are still retail) and we have next door neighbor kids birthday party Sat. morning (she hired some guy to set up laser tag at home in the back yard from 9:30 - 12:30 or something like that). Doughnuts instead of pizza.... But I was thinking we could go either Sat. NITE again when it's cheaper OR EARLY, EARLY on Sun. morning for the whole day.... Am I getting carried away? Winter will be over soon (I think)! We have the Pinewood Derby on the 23rd and the Blue & Gold banquet on March 1 plus who knows what the weather will be like...it usually starts warming up in March...

I don't think that we have mutiny, just busy. Ophie and I had a very busy weekend working her biggest fund raiser of the year! We got home at 3:30AM on Sunday morning after working an 18 hour day! At least we can feel good that they raised lots of money. But, we are suffering the consequences. Both of us feel run down and kind sick to our stomachs. I can't wait for my body to reset.

Hope that the Tigger folks are enjoying their new truck! I hope that they got a great deal on it.

Is Bob enjoying the Sync system in his new Ford Focus? Does he have any Tiffany on his iPod just for show? LOL!
