Just got back from the pool...really hot and nice here..very windy so the heat wasn't too bad..Pool actually warmed up some since last Sunday..I was actually able to get in!!

Went to the mall today and bought 2 pairs of shorts...size 14!!! I was doing the happy dressing room dance!!

15 years ago, if you had told me I would be thrilled to be wearing a 14, I would have asked what you been drinkin!

Congrats, Betsy! I did the all daring thing and bought a bathing suit today. Im just worried if I lose the weight I want to, the bottom might be too big(thats not saying, Im small, just that it was a bit loose and they didnt have the next size down). But it will still be good enough to wear in the yard at least. And whats this by the pool stuff? In the car this morning it said the outside temp was 41!

i am wearing the bathing suit I bought for last summer's Disney trip..it still fits but it is getting baggy..not a good look!

The upside..I bought a pool cover up on the 2005 cruise that was always too tight, so I never have worn it...that is going this time!

Nick may not be going on the cruise..He night be going to something called "Congressional Student Leadership Conference" in Atlanta..It is from June 29th till July 21st..he lives on the college campus and gets college credit..He seems like he really wants to do both sessions so Rick is going to tell him he needs to make a choice.
Rick isn't going to FORCE him to go on vacation..but it will be sad not to have him at the VR
I told him I need an answer by the 20th

Ophie - I believe SueEllen is arranging for the 8:00 dining rotation 'cuz CamColt and I had requested the 8:15 so she's switching us over... The 8:00 rotation makes it T, A, A, P on the 4 night cruise and T, A, P on the 3 night one....Is that what you were wondering about? (PS) Welcome back! Missed your wit!

OK, so the pond has been drained & cleaned & the waterfall leak hopefully repaired successfully. Every summer I get a leak down one side so I hope I got it fixed this time. Now I ache from spending 5 hours out there. It actually turned out to be a pretty nice afternoon for a couple of hours. I started with 2 heavy T-shirts this morning and was able to go down to only 1 shirt around 2:00 or so. (I envy Betsy getting to go to the pool!!) Sorry Cheri - no pics of the hip boots today! Just picture me in green rubber boots that come up to my thighs.

I hope she's doing 8:30. we'll have a better shot at getting tables together and less little kids (for parents that couldn't get the early seating). I hate listening to whiny kids while I'm eating. I like to be the only one (plus Animator's is my least favorite place. It makes me feel too closed in.)

OK, so I am NOT entirely crazy...I popped back over to the DVC boards...the initial Owners Locker deal that I saw yesterday WAS for a 2nd free visit for the lifetime of your membership...but apparently they had such an overwhelming response from new AND old members wanting the new deal that they decided to change it to only 3 years for the free 2nd visit. And here I thought I was seeing things.... I was having a hard enough time convincing DH it would be a good thing to do....only 3 years clinches it as a no for us! But at least I'm not totally crazy!

A bbq sounds good (well, and the wine too)! I still haven't fired up the old grill yet this spring...I refuse to cook outside in the dark & cold all winter...but now that it's light later I have been feeling the urge...now if it would just warm up out there!

We BBQ'd last night..Had to go Friday and get a new tank of propane..we ran out during hamburgers this week...grrr..I hate running out!!

Kate got 3rd Place in the Kangaroo Hop during Field Day Friday..she picked Steak, sweet potatoes, salad and sauteed mushrooms (Rick and I had grilled prawn too) for her "victory dinner" (she has never placed in Field Day before)

Had a BAD storm come thru about 3am...I woke up and never went back to sleep...wanted to go back to the pool today but the Homeowners Association is having a meeting about the painting of the homes at the pool...my company is one of the bidders, so I am staying FAR AWAY from the meeting...don't want anyone to know I live here in case we win the bid...i don't need a bunch of whiners coming and complaining about the painters!

it's still in the brouchure but peple have been reporting that DCL has been calling them saying it's been discontinued. Too bad too. It was an absolute blast - nothing like standing up in the middle of the ocean. And jet skiing by the Magic wasn't bad either. If they get it back up and running, we'll be doin' it. It's less than an hour I think.

I got on line again last night. Didn't book anything though. Registered Cas for the Lab. They changed it though. Last time, I could pick about 5-6 poeple that could check her out. This time I could choose Chris or Tim. Gee, I guess I'll let her Dad check her out. Ya' think? She's probably gonna be checking herself out anyway. I just thought it was weird. She won't go anywhere by herself so I'm not worried about her at all. She and Kate can side-kick, knife-hand strike and self defend pretty well. ($ well spent in taekwondo!) And if you've ever been on a ride with Cas you know the girl has a set of lungs on her. And she ain't shy about using them either
