OH, and will whoever's "in charge" tell us which days to do it if say we're only doing 4 days so we don't all "do it" at once...and give us the others cabin numbers?! (In my search for goodies I have am assuming that everybody's participating?! Yes / No?!):confused3

OK, so dinner's on...we're having a clean out the pantry night...I dumped up like 4 different 1/2 empty boxes of pasta & cooked 'em together...cooked up some sweet italian sausage...dumped in whatever was left of the pepparoni from when I made pizzas last week....a big jar of sauce, a bag of shredded moz. cheese & popped that bad boy in the oven...can't say I'm not creative in the kitchen.... OH, did I tell ya'll about the fantastic corn stuff from the bereavement luncheon at my parent's church the other day?! OMG - if any of ya like corn let me know! It was awesome! (It's a crockpot recipe!)
directions to follow.

yes, please to be sending corn recipe. It's one "veg" T will eat.

My sexy hub made tequila lime steak, grill-roasted onion taters & ancho chili corn for dinner.

I think I'll keep him! :teeth:
Yes, yes, keep semi-haired hub. Onion taters? Yum!

anyone ever grill scallions? I love them..kinda eat them like an articoke..pull between teeth..YUM!

Haven't done grilled scallions myself but have had them out somewhere...I DO grill artichokes tho! :thumbsup2 I pull off a big square of heavy duty foil and I cut the tops off the artichokes & level off the stem & stand 'em in the middle of the foil. Then I make a little mixture of melted butter, garlic, pepper & lemon juice...I kinda spread them open a bit on the top and spoon this into them so it drizzles down inside. Then I fold up the foil over / around them & stand them up on the grill so all that butter stays down inside - grill 'em for about 35 minutes or so over a med/low heat...yummmy!:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

ok, so I know what's for dinner tomorrow night (taekwondo/guitar doesn't get us home until 7pm tonight). I"m thinkin' scallions, artichokes and a steak for T. Wow!!! I'm gonna get the Mom award. After grounding T from the computer last night I could use it (boy was he .... unhappy? - don't do a crime.....)

Who thought 2 weeks was a good idea for Spring Break when it's all cloudy and gross outside? Hmmm, must find said person/group and beat them soundly with wet noodle. Must be the same group that insists that kids go to school until the end of June. :headache: Kids are not liking the whole "let's clean out the closets!" idea. Were't excited about scrubbing the garage floors either. What's with that? Something about needing to relax? Guess they wouldn't want to strip the wallpaper off of Cas's walls, ya' think? (of course, I have NO idea how to do that, so it might be quite comical)

We are almost to ........DOUBLE DIGITS!!!!!!!! :woohoo:
let the starvation begin:lmao:

Cool...fishy directions soon please!!:goodvibes :thumbsup2 Tryin' to get some ideas here...;)

OK - this stuff is called "Cheesy Corn" and the directions the lady gave me sound like it makes a LOT...so for just the 3 of us I will probably halve it & see how that goes. Of course the batch THEY had the other day was DOUBLED! Anyway here it is:

Cheesy Corn

3 Lb. pkg. frozen corn
1 stick butter
(2) 8 oz pkgs cream cheese cut up into chunks
6 - 8 slices of cheddar cheese crumbled / broken up (she didn't say sharp or mild...only that I should use slices not shredded):confused3
3-4 Tbs milk & water
A little salt
Mix it all together & cook in the crockpot on high 4-6 hours

This stuff was really good!:thumbsup2

WOW! 2 weeks!? I thought our school was bad not getting out until mid-June... DS didn't have school today ("Professional Day" for end of period). I found out this morning that he neglected to do an assignment for his research project...he was supposed to interview 10 people and summarize it to turn in tomorrow!! 10 people! So I took him to the grocery store & told him to interview some of the checkers...and the teller at the bank...and a neighbor we ran into there. :rotfl: That will teach him! Let's just see how embarrasing Mom can be when she's ticked off!!:rotfl2:

:scared1:
ok, what's the final consistancy of this dish?

Yes, when it comes time please do spell out, very clearly, for those of us fish extender /door sign challenged peeps, just what we are supposed to do. I dont keep up with this stuff on the boards.

I like the idea of getting that pool for a few hours. :thumbsup2

So, I have Colt's friends, the triplets, over here right now. :headache:

Well...all 4 reservations are PAID!!!
*gulp*

Mom..did you hear that?? You and Kate can now go!!

Poor Nick doesn't know what to do..told his dad he really wants to stay home and work on his car. We think he will take the path of least resistance and go to the college thing..his mom will make his life hell if he doesn't...I have till the 75 day mark to take him off for a full refund..

:rotfl2: Why are you scared?!:confused3 I wouldn't feed ya sumthin' bad! (It's thick & creamy looking - it's not runny like creamed corn or anything...) I think the cream cheese is the key!:thumbsup2

Last Call....No not that last call. We are finalizing the group for the Hike/Kayak Excursion on CC. We will do it on whichever day is not brunch on the 4 day. Cheri, we don't know what time this thing starts but the sooner the better. The current cast of characters is:

Tim
Sarah
Cheri
Timmay

Anyone? Anyone? Raised? Raised or Lowered? LOL!!! :rotfl2: :lmao:

You have until COB tomorrow to get your confirmation in to Cheri with Ressie number.

By the way, for all of you grillers out there that keep running out of gas, you can buy another tank so that you have two. Betsy, you should already have two for hurricane season. We always have a full one on standby. ;)

i do have 2...but something is wrong with one and i keep forgetting to go swap it out..full of propane, but it causes the regulator to freeze up...

one tank lasts me for 3 or 4 months..and that is grilling almost every weekend

no kayaking for me...i want to do the Catamaran snorkel!

Have you heard anything about the Cat snorkel? Just wondered what the swim site is like. I have been on a couple of those that weren't great for much but the Catamaran ride.

Hey I just realized that I am at 1,711 thread count. I would be a pretty soft sheet if I do say so myself. :rotfl2:

Now if only they didn't reset in 2005. I would have over 6,000 thread count. That would be really soft!!!

Darn it. I can't keep this thread count straight. See. I am already at 1,712. Why does it keep changing?:confused3
