Parker: "Oh yeah? Well if we have any other assignments that involve writing I wouldn't mind helping you out." He pulled out his pencil and journal.
OOC: Ok, so this is my last post before the rest of today, so after this you can all do your own thing.
Adalaide: The bell rang. "Ok class! Before I start, freshmen and sophomores should be sitting on the left and juniors and seniors hosuld be sitting on the right. Ok, so first I'll tell you the rules. All I'm going to say is respect me and I'll respect you and that's about it. Also, unlike some other teachers, I'll let you use your cell phone as long as we're not doing something as a class. Now, underclassmen, you'll start off the year with reading and upperclassmen will start off the year with creative writing. Underclassmen, please come up to the front and pick up To Kill a Mockingbird. Uppclassmen, I'll give you a writing prompt each week that you have to complete." She walked to the right side of the room. "Your writing prompt this week is 'What are My Expectation For The School Year.' You can write about anything about what you expect for this school year. It'll be due this Friday. Paper is in the back. Now write!" She went to the left of the classroom. "Once you all get your books, please start to read the first 2 chapters. Don't worry about finishing them all today though, we wil read tomorrow as well and answer questions. Now get to reading!" She went to her desk at the front of the classroom to go on her computer to do some online shoe shopping while watching the class work at the same time.
OOC: It's supposed to be about expectations for the school year. Also, To Kill a Mockingbird has nothing to do with killing mockingbirds by the wayAtarsi:She picked up to Kill a Mockingbird .Poor mocking bird she said and only two chapters? I could finish half the book in a day.
Abhilasha:She picked up a writing prompt her's was about an adorable grocery clerk who went out the door.
OOC: Ok, I wasn't sure if you knew or not.OOC: Yeah I've read To Kill a Mockingbird many times and it's mostly about Scout and her brother and the case. I just made Atarsi say that cause she's a mermaid and they would probably know nothing about it.
Olivia: "Oh wow, that's really nice of you, thanks so much. I might take you up on that offer, and when I do I'll try not to be too slow." She smiled before listening to the assignment which made her chuckle seeing as they were only just talking about writing. At the top of the paper she labeled it by the assignment title and paused. If it's a grade it should better be a full page.
Olivia: The prompt wasn't difficult at all, it was probably the easiest they'd have all year, but soon she found herself with the prompt beside her beautifully labeled paper and nothing else. What do I expect for this year? Good grades? Some new friends? Those are so basic. She huffed, tapping her pencil on her desk, when she looked over to Parker and realized he was finished already. "Wow, nicely done."Parker: Ironically, he had already written plenty of notes in his journal about his expectations from this school. He went up and got the prompt and paper. He sat back down and changed his notes into writing and quickly he was already done. He sat down and looked at Olivia who was still writing, as were the other upperclassmen.
Olivia: She nodded and looked back to her paper, taking his advice and breathing deep through her nose. After a moment she started thinking of the end of the year and how she wanted it to end. Having great grades to show Doc would actually be cool, he'd like seeing them. Maybe being on a team or something would be cool, and that could maybe help with friends. She started writing, keeping her writing slightly large with a little more space between her words than necessary. It didn't fill the whole paper like she wished, but when she was finished she was proud of having her first assignment done at least. "Might as well call me an author," She joked leaning back in her seat.Parker: "Thanks. Just let your mind control you. Take a few deep breaths and it will come to you, trust me."
