Olivia: As she finished the last touches on an apple, the lead in her pencil became too dull to continue drawing as she wished. Pursing her lips, she rose to her feet and walked to the nearest sharpener, the action becoming better as it allowed her to stretch her legs and waste a bit of time.

Marina: She looked at Matilda's sketch. "It's not so bad! But... yeah, being graded on participation is quite a relief."

Matilda: "You think so?"

Marci: "Ok. And they're probably going to punish me at home too. Also, I would've caved in and told them right away probably." She waited for them to pick up.

Ms. Poppins: She spoke quickly with Ms. Oceana's parents. "They're on their way."

Nan: "I guess you could say that about mine. Sports, military, dance, that sort of thing."

Olivia: "I don't plan on going into the service or anything that requires athleticism, but I do like skateboarding and I just started trying soccer. I'm not very creative, just good on my feet." She smiled thinking of the normal board she learned how to ride to appease her mother.

Marina: She giggled a little. "God, I can't wait for the next class. I think it's chorus. I mean, I hope it is."
