OK Gang here’s the info on the sign-up page for our event at Disney Hollywood Studios on 12/13/2008. Please read this carefully as I have tried to include as much info as possible to help avoid confusion and panic.

The sign-up page will be available on Thursday 10/30/2008 at 9:00 PM Eastern Time. It will be available on this page http://www.wdwinfo.com/disney-podcast/maniameet.cfm

If go there now you will not be able to sign-up yet.

We will also be announcing this on this week’s podcast so that all of our listeners who do not read the boards will have this info as well.

You will be required to fill out one form for each person in your party. You will need to list yourself as the lead name (and your email address as the contact) for each person you are bringing. Again, you will need to fill out a separate form for each person in your party. This will make more sense once you see the actual form.

We have a finite number of open spaces for the initial round of sign-ups (don’t ask how many – I’m not telling). Once this number is reached the form will shut off automatically. Shortly after we will put up a form for a waitlist. If you don’t get to sign-up in the first round do not be discouraged. We are working on a way to invite more people so having a waitlist is important for us to see how many more we will need to add and what the cost might be. We cannot guarantee that everyone on the waitlist will get into the event, but we will try our best to get as many in as possible.

If you received an email invite from Dreams Unlimited Travel and replied to that email, you are already on the list. Please DO NOT sign-up again. If you do you will be taking a spot from someone who wants it as we have a finite number of spaces in total for attendees.

Duplicate entries will result in the original request and the duplicate being removed from the list.

If you are DreamsRES client and have a hotel reservation booked with Dreams Unlimited Travel at the Swan and Dolphin, Gaylord Palms, Sheraton Vistana, or Buena Vista Suites for 12/13/2008 that was made prior to this announcement (10/26/2008), and you provide your reservation ID on the sign-up form you will get a priority spot on the list and you do not have to fill out a form for each person in your party. Again, this will make more sense once you see the actual form.

We ask that you do not sign-up unless you are 100% sure you can attend.

As a reminder, you must be in Disney Hollywood Studios Theme Park prior to the park closing on the evening of 12/13/2008 (approximately 8PM). This means you must have your own park admission to get in to the park. If you are not in the park prior to the closing of the turnstiles you will not be able to attend the event. Once in the park and the park officially closes you will be able to enjoy the Osborne Lights and then make your way back to Pixar Street for the event.

Only people on our list will be allowed entry into the event.

We strongly encourage anyone attending our event to sign-up for Mousfest (www.mousefest.org). While registration is not required we are participating in Mousefest to show our support for the Disney Fan community at large. Having as many folks registered for Mousefest as possible will help ensure future Mousefest events.

Aaaargh, just realised I will have to get up for 1AM. Any chance of it being up 2 hours earlier for us UK folk?
 
I want to thank you Mr. Pete, Walter, John, Kevin, Corey, Julie, Regina, Will and all others involved; it is great for you all to offer this event. It is also great that you are even trying to add more people by offering the wait list. I surely hope I am forturnate enough to attend this event. But if I do not make the list, I believe I will be able to meet all of you at the mega-meet. Our plane lands at 9:40 am, Sat., the 13th. We should make it to our hotel, the BCV in time to come over and meet you and thank you for the Podcast.

Wow, I really would love to attend this event, but the post sounds a little less optimistic about having availability than the Podcast did. :eek: I will be trying to register on Thursday night at 9pm. :woohoo:

I wonder if we will crash the server with all of us trying to use it at the same time? :rolleyes1

John, question on those of us that got the email from Dreams asking for us to RSVP. Will this get us on the list, or do we need to sign up on Thursday? Just want to make sure I am following the correct procedure.

John, if we complete a DU reservation before the form goes up, will we automatically get on the DU list?

I just got the OK today to go if I can get a room cheap enough. I'll book thru DU, so if I get the payment in in time, will I automatically get the email invite?
 
Thanx for this information.

I'm going to set my alarmclock at 2.45am :scared1: :scared1: on friday oct. 31 so i can be in front of the computer at 3.00am and hopefully there will be place for us at this event.
But i think that it will be alright and everything will turn out just fine.

The only thing that's going to be bad is that when i've signed us up i'm not able to sleep again because the adrenaline boost will keep me awake........:love:

Unfortunately the answer is no.

We had a cut-off for when Dreams clients could get back to us and that has passed.

In order to ensure we have a decent number of open spaces for those not booked with DU we cannot guarantee a spot at the event for anyone who is not already a DU client.

I know this may seem counter intuitive for a business that gets it's revenue from booking Disney resort stays - but we need to be fair to those who are counting on us providing as many open enrollment spots as possble. If people book with us now just to come to our event and we say they get a guaranteed spot we could wind up with no 'open spots'.

The lesson here...always book with DU because you never know what cool thing we might have planned...:banana:

Unfortunatley we cannot do this.

Once everyone is signed up we will be sending additional emails about specifics - for example once we work out the transportation, etc. I'm sure you will know from these boards when those are sent so if you don't get one you can check back with us.

My advise is to all DU clients who received the invite email is to keep the email you sent back to us just in case there is a descrepancy.
