DIS Digi-Scrapping Challenge #20 (8-27 to 9-2). The winners have been announced!

I used the Tuesday Template like many others. :) I originally had another idea for this challenge, but I haven't had a chance to work on it. This one fit all the criteria without even trying! The mickey head is an extraction from my shirt (which you can see in the pic with Lilo & Stitch.) The stamp is the paw print. My title is the sign pic, and it's framed with the circle of paw prints.

Finally I am back to doing a challenge. Thanks for hosting QuiltyMom!
The coolest thing happened to DS when we checked-in: the CM asked him to help. He got to ask me all the info and type everything into the computer, and then gave me my room assignment. It took about 30 minutes! (obviously, no one else was in line!) Anyway, I didn't get one picture of it!! Can you tell I wasn't a scrapper before this trip?! I am really bummed about that, but at least I got to journal about it.

I did a 2-pager, but each page as at least 5 pictures, so I hope that still counts.

Memories stamp by Brittish Designs
Cluster frame on page 1 by Maria LaFrance
Cluster frame on page 2 was also Maria's but I only used the frames that I needed.

I just looked at my post and noticed that the shadows look so strange. Some of the items look like they are floating off the page. Hopefully, this is just a computer/photobucket-thing, and it won't be like this when I print.

You ladies have been very busy! I spent most of yesterday's computer time doing some digi-shopping! :goodvibes I'll be back to comment on all the new -and very fun - LOs later on today!

Happy Labor Day, everyone!

quiltymom-Thank you for the fun challenge. Multi photo scrapping just isn't seen enough in galleries, but it is what I need to do! I love your lo...the Pluto on it is so cute and color perfect.

labdogs-Great, bright layout. Perfect kit for the robot activity. I really like the corners in the upper right and lower left to add balance.

britt-The colors are so perfect for nighttime pictures...especially with what you all were wearing. I love the sparkle in the title to make it pop!

disneycruiser-YUM is right! I like the tilt to the grid of pictures. What a perfect way to scrap photos like yours.

janis-I really love the film strip and the arrow to point out something from your journalling. What a fun color combo, too!

ngneer-The embellishments you have on your layout are so well laid out. The sprinkling of sequins and cluster of ribbons, etc. is great! What super photos...you really made them pop!

caitsmama-This was fun to see your layout right next to ngneer's. The color combos are so different, but each works beautifully. I love the satin bow and bling Mickey head to make the layout perfectly princessy!

yzerbear-What a great double! And, wow! You got some great shots! That will really be a beautiful spread printed in a book!

tinker-I am going to have to remember this layout because it is one I want to scraplift sometime. I also have to remember to go find that sculpture! Such great photos and a lovely layout!

fran-That is exactly the sort of thing I am thinking about doing with the character photos we collected on our trip! I really love the layout of this double with all the mats behind the tilted photos.

makingscrapbooks-Your layout is just so perfect for those pictures. The colors, the feel, everything! I really like the twine across the bottom.

briarrose-Your Mickey head is so great! The papers you picked are so neat with your pictures. Very eclectic and fun. Keeps the eye moving across the page!

rileysmommy-Welcome to the challenges! Your layout is so cute! The bright yellow is wonderful to set off the blue in the photos!

18magic-Those are great papers to intersperse with the photos in your double! I really like the smattering of ears and heads across both pages.

pooh-How perfect is that to have growing photos to really visually tell the tale of what was happening!?!? I love it! Those ribbons are just the right pop at the bottom to root the pics, too!

kswmb-I really like how you set out the title here. You kept it small, but really drew the eye to it. Then, you can easily move on to the great photos!

suzi-I like the pop of pink across the middle of the pages. It's kind of unexpected but it works to pull your little girl out of the photos! (What program are you using to crop? I wonder if when you resized for the web, you didn't tell the program to scale the layer effects down as well. Just thinking about your comment about the shadows. I kind of like the look you have there, though.)

lovegoofy-I really love the title! I have to admit, I underuse my alpha sets....this makes me want to pay more attention to what I have available! ANYway...I like the color and the cluster with the Mickey head is adorable!

WHEW! What a great bunch of layouts...and photos!

WHEW! What a great bunch of layouts...and photos!

Terri, I second the motion! It has been so very exciting to see so many people participating in the challenge, and to see so many different ideas, too. It's just like going into a candy store, ya know?

I would've been on here sooner by DH decided that we all had to go to Nationals Park for a baseball game. I guess I'll be scrapping that LO tomorrow!

Fran - Aren't the character's great? It's hard to know what to do with all of the photos. Your LO is so bright and colorful, and I love your Mickey head circling the pic of Mickey. The background paper really sets the whole theme off, too.

Jan - You gotta love a cute pirate, especially when he's flirting with a Princess. The kit looks great with the photos - it really brings the focus onto the interraction going on there.

Briar Rose - There are so many fun things going on in your LO. I would have a hard time using all of the elements that you did, but it works so well for yours! Cute Mickey head, too.

Rileysmommy - I'm so happy that you decided to join in on the fun. And your LO is great, too. What a fun moment that must've been your your DS.

18 Magic - More character shots! This type of LO really does work for that. I like the way you have some boxes straight and others tilted. For the longest time I would make sure I had at least one photo skewed, so I like your way of thinking. And I just recently downloaded that kit - it is a fun one.

Pooh - That guy is definitely certifiable. It took me a while to realize the pics grew in height with how high he was going on those silly chairs (duh!). And your hanging Mickey just adds to the excitement of it all.

Terri - Those postage stamp frames are a great idea. You can really get in a lot of photos with those. And the whole circle theme is fun, too, especially the glass over your DD.

You guys are all great! Thanks for participating. It really has been a highlight of my week to see what people have done. Keep up the good work!

Whew! I didn't think I was going to make it this week. Back-to-school stuff has us all tired here.

quiltymom - thanks for hosting this week. I love to do LO's that have lots of pictures.

Lay-out sketch from Creative Sketches 2 by Becky Higgins - changed just a bit in order to frame my title.

Everyone's layouts look so good. I love the template that a lot of you used. I may have to go find that one.

Hope everyone had a great Labor Day!

bsquare-I can totally relate to the 3D movie/questioning of parenting skills thing you journalled about. Our big gaffe was the Honey I Shrunk the Audience movie. Oh well...live and learn. Anyway...I really love your layout. It has a great mix of family and park photos. That Mickey head is really cute!!! And, I really like how your title is framed by a photo like that. Really neat idea!

bsquare - I'm glad that you were able to participate this week! I really like the way you centered your photos around the ribbons and then placed them off to the side like that. And I agree - I do love the way you did your Fantasyland title over a pic! And that Mickey Head is just too cute! Gotta love those ribbons!!!

suzi-What program are you using to crop? I wonder if when you resized for the web, you didn't tell the program to scale the layer effects down as well. Just thinking about your comment about the shadows.

Thanks Terri. That must have been the problem. I'm still learning this stuff. Perhaps I should flatten before resizing it. Good to learn all this stuff before printing!

Briar Rose - There are so many fun things going on in your LO. I would have a hard time using all of the elements that you did, but it works so well for yours! Cute Mickey head, too.

There was a reasoning for those papers. I have never used that much pattern before but since we had to use papers in some of the boxes for the TTC, I searched high and low for a kit that contained both red AND orange in the papers because it was Christmas, but the entrance to IABL was green and orange. Do you know how hard that is to find?!? When I found the funky stripes with both red and orange, I just used the rest of the papers in the kit. That is definitely a more busy page than I usually do!

Thanks!

Here's my entry at the last minute. We were out of town all weekend and I was working on this tonight when we got the sad news that one of our puppies that just went to his new home just yesterday died today in an accident. We are all so heart broken. I literally just finished this the best way I could. I'll probably go back and work on it some more and add the right side for Chester & Hesters and Primeval Whirl.

Hi Everyone!

Great Job on the layouts. I haven't been doing much scrapbooking because somehow - I became the Chair for my 20th reunion and it is next month!

I am posting this layout even though I was working on it before the challenge - I finished it tonight. It doesn't have to count since I didn't do it from scratch - I just wanted to participate because I love to do collages and I wanted to support quiltymom on her first challenge!

quiltymom - great idea for this challenge! I think I am determined to get as many pics on the page as possible :)

susan - I am sad for you about the puppy.

Susan...I'm so sorry about the puppy!

I really love your dino layout. That is a nice template. Such neat layouts this week with it. I like your buttons in the corner and then the date in the other corner.

disneybaby-I really love the swirl in your layout. That really looks nice. Such a fun page and that adds to the feel of it. Great pics!

Wow - that was a wild week! And I am thrilled and amazed at all of the entries this week. Thank you so much for participating and for all of your kind words to this host newbie here.

Susan - soooo sorry about the puppy! :grouphug: But I am glad that you were able to participate. The kit you used was so much fun. DD is going to freak when she sees it - Dinoland (and anything dinos, for that matter) is her favorite. I'm going to have to check into that kit. You guys are having fun trying to get me to spend more $$, huh? :happytv:

Disney Baby - What a fun page and a fun template! I love those wavy lines! And your DD's are just adorable. No wonder Pluto was having so much fun with them. You got a lot of great shots there and that page was perfect for them!

Now, down to business. Would you all mind waiting until this afternoon to find out who the winners are? I'd love for my kids to be able to look at everyone's layouts and pick a winner (if they can  ) but since they're at school now, it won't work, if ya know what I mean. If you don't want to wait, I understand - I can just pick out the second winner in a drawing.

Does that sound okay to you?

This was fun to do - I'll have to go sign up again!!!

love goofy and Susan0326!

:cheer2: Congratulations, ladies! :cheer2: You are the winners of a kit of your choice from the store of Jenni Hopewell of Scrap Matters!

I will PM you with the information you will need to claim your prize.

Thank you, everyone, for participating! And now it's on to the next challenge...
