Hello and happy Wednesday everyone!! It's my turn to host our DIS Digi Scrapper's Challenge again and I'm very excited!

I feel like I can finally see hints of spring popping up around me, and I am lovin' it! So - for this week's challenge . . . I am going to use the word SPRING to give you some rules (besides the obvious - its needs to be somehow Disney related).

S - Seven Letters. Your title needs to be at LEAST 7 letters long and made with an alpha (you can have as many words as you like).
P - Paper. You can only use ONE paper.
R - Red. Use at least 1 red embellishment.
I - Interesting journaling. Think of a new or creative way to journal on your page. (At least 1 sentence!!)
N - No staples or stitching allowed! Haha - takes me out of my comfort zone!! That's for sure!
G - Gotta have more than 1 photo (I know this one was a stretch! hahaha)

For the prize this week I'll be giving my favorite entry and 1 randomly drawn entry my brand new kit being released this Friday. So . . . for now its a mystery prize. But come Friday you can see exactly what you're playing for!

You have until Tuesday night (Mar. 10th) at midnight (Disneyland Time - Pacific) to get your pages in!!

HAVE FUN!! I can't post my page until tomorrow because the kit I used isn't being released until then! But check back tomorrow so see it!

**EDITED**
Here is my page!!! (click image for credits)

Can't wait to see what you guys come up with!

TTFN!

Gotta get this done before I leave for the "World" on Sunday. :yay: Hmmm, one paper...this should be interesting!!!

Britt - this one should be 47 I think. Can't wait to get ready for SPRING. The first of Spring we will be at DL so yippee for us! I will get busy on this one, it will be challenging.

Ah-ha! The list sounds easy until you start thinking about them all together........then it becomes hmmmmmmmm

But for one of your kits, anything is possible! :worship:

Off to think...............princess:

This was a fun challenge and has gotten me back to scrapping! some of you may remember I had a horrible hard drive crash a few weeks ago and lost everything I had! After visiting 2 computer repair places and a LOT of crying and begging, I finally found a place that would take on my poor pitiful hard drive. It was so corrupt it ruined 2 of their programs! OOPS ;) Anyway, they were able to recover most of my kits and such and most of my pages. Some I have been unable to open as PS won't open them b/c they are corrupt. That's okay though. I am incredibly grateful for what I have and believe me, I have everything saved in abour 4 different places now! :lmao: I am having to remake a few of my cruise pages so at least I can participate in more challenges until my next trip! One more thing and then on to the challenge: I have to give a humongous shout out to Britt for helping me with my crash! She resent ALL of me showoffs I have ever received from her out of the kindness of her heart. I know how busy she is, so this has meant so much to me! It literally brought tears to my eyes! She is such a great person. :thumbsup2 And now, I am off my soapbox and on to this fun challenge! I must add, no staples was a huge challenge for me! I actually forgot and had to go back and remove a staple or 2!

One more unfortuante thing, in having some remaining corrupt files, I have lost some of the pages in my kits. Therefore, I have no idea where this template came from ;( Can anyone help me out? I am going to try and figure it out! Remaining credits: Paper and alpha - Julie Billingsley's Sand in my shorts, Britt's string theory, my bead jar, and bead-aholic, and GG Digital Designs - red embellie, girl and boy embellie and brads from School Days Kit.

I think that does it for this very long post! If you made it through all that, I should be forced to buy Britt's new kit for everyone!! ;) Can't wait to see everyone else's pages!

I figures out my template dilemma! It is also from Britt - inspired by Kate!
Laura

Thanks, Britt, for hosting this week. As soon as I read "one paper", I knew that I had to use a photo as the background. That's one way to get around the system! :lmao:

Laura, I'm so sorry about your hard drive! What a nightmare. :grouphug: But I'm glad that you're back with us.

Here's my LO. I didn't know how to scrap this page until now, along with the template from the template challenge. It's always so wonderful to get another page completed!

In case you want to know, here's the journaling:
The Orange Stinger is located inside of a giantor-sized orange, the likes of which we'll never see on the trees in Grandma & Grandpa's backyard. We went there straight from California Screamin', and although I wanted to ride the thing, I knew that my wimpy tummy just wasn't up to the task after that darned coaster ride. Instead, I became the designated backpack watcher & photographer for the event. The seats of the Stinger are like bumblebees and You can hear the "bees" buzzing and can even smell the oranges as folks fly through the air. So, there I stood, watching them spinning 'round and 'round like a swarm of loony bees caught within a whirling vortex to nowhere.
And next time I'll be right there with the best of them whenever we do return to California Adventure in the future. You gotta have something to look forward to, right?

Awww Lvdisney - you are a sweetheart. Thanks for the shout out!! Your page is brilliant. I'm so happy you're back into scrapping. Your family is so cute. I love seeing your pages.

And quiltymom - you better get back and ride it soon if you want to because they're tearing the poor orange down!!! It's all part of the re-themeing of the pier. It's going to be a "Silly Symphony" swings now. Everything over there is getting a more "Disney" update. I personally loved the Orange and will miss it. I love how its lit up at night. I love the buzzing and the orange smells when you walk past it around the pier. I will really miss it.

But your page does it justice!!! I love the paper as the background. Good thinking!! And smart thinking using this template too. All the circles mimic the orange. GREAT JOB!!!

Britt - Thanks for hosting. I can't wait to see your new release. Love your Lucky Me layout... That kit is so fun! I will have to get it. My family loves anything Irish!

lvdisney - Your layout is really fun. I like everything about it from the dots to the creative title! So glad you are back with us.

quiltymom - Beautiful layout! I've never been to DL, so I guess I'll never experience this ride. You did a wonderful job with your photos and details! The colors are wonderful together!

The brown is actually just a stroke. I had to get a matted look somehow :rotfl: Although, I was really worried that stroking counts as a paper...it doesn't does it?

My journaling is around the edge and reads "The carriage ride at the Port Orleans Riverside Hotel was one of the most memorable parts of our honeymoon. It was so nice to be able to sit back and relax while the horse just peacefully walked along. Our driver was great, he chatted a little, but for the most part he just let us take in the beauty of the resort. After the july heat, it was a welcome change!"

Britt - That layout is wonderful! I spy a kit I need!

lvdisney - That title is so cool. I love how "flubber" just jumps off the page!!

quiltymom - I definitely feel the need to scraplift this!! (and having the template simplifies things a bit ;) )I LOVE the look of it! Great job!

This one was a challenge! Not sure if I love this layout yet (I think the red/pink combo isn't working for me), but here it is.

Edited: Like it more now with less red - just the pop of the mickey head. Much better.

No, it's not upside down! They're actual photos of the castle's reflection. Red wasn't actually in my color palette, but I found a place for it!

I haven't left love for a while, so I'm going to make up for it this week!

Britt - What a fun kit. The string sun looks like some of the string art I used to do in elementary school. What a flashback. I never would've thought about scrapping a page all on a hat! Your husband seems like a fun & silly guy. And that date tag is so cool.

Laura - I love the way you used that template with all photos for these shots. And your soft background really makes them pop out of the page, especially the close-ups. And those lab coats they're wearing are just too cute!

NotesfortheHeart - The first thing I though of when I saw this was that it was straight out of Robin Hood when Robin and Maid Marion are just married and driving away. You two look so happy - and great hats, too! The rose is a nice touch, and I love the way you snuck in a photo of you two with the horse!

BooToo - If this LO isn't the most precious thing that I've seen in a while, I dont' know what is. Your DD is adorable. And the pic of the sign - I don't think that I've seen one at that angle before! Did you get out of your car to get that shot? And I think that I'm going to have to scraplift the "priceless" theme idea for myself.

Pooh46 - Okay - the title says reflection, and you say that it's a reflection, but I still turned my head to look at the photos! :rotfl: Your background paper is perfect for this. Gotta love those "layered" papers! Fun journaling, too. I wish that SBC+ did word paths, 'cause yours is great!

notes4theheart - Aww!!! What a happy time! I love the picture from the back of the carriage. Just like Cinderella. And you are very clever. A stroke doesn't count as a paper!!

BooToo - AWWW!!!! That is REALLY the magic of the trip huh?!! I love these pics. Really really adorable.

Pooh46 - Gorgeous! i love the pics. Very nice job on the challenge. I love the little pop of red actually. iT works!!

And the pic of the sign - I don't think that I've seen one at that angle before! Did you get out of your car to get that shot?

I actually got that shot from a moving Magical Express bus. I was amazed that it turned out so well!!! Thanks!
