DIS Digi Scrapper's Challenge #47 (3/4-3/10)

Wow! I'm thrilled! It makes my day a little better, seeing that DD is home sick and that I just found out we need $1,800+ of plumbing work (we have no hot water and at least got the gas back to our furnace & stove) a little easier. Thank you, Brittney!

And as usual, everyone's LOs were wonderful. I really look forward to seeing what people create each week. It's always a bright part of my day!

I'll see you all over at this week's challenge!

Congratulations ladies. Great layouts. :thumbsup2

Woo-hoo! I am so excited and glad that I finally got the chance to do a challenge again. Thanks Britt! Congrats to quiltymom too!!! Again, thanks to everyone for the inspiration!

Congrats girls. :)

Well, I'm the opposite. We get to WDW at least once a year. Living in NC it's about a day's drive, so no plane tickets. I would absolutely LOVE to get to Disneyland! Walt actually walked through that park...can't say that about WDW. And I've heard that most of the attractions are so much better at DL. Don't get me wrong....I LOVE my WDW, but I need to get to DL someday.

While I'm not as close to WDW as you (still need to get on a plane), I also would LOVE to go to DL. I keep looking for excuses on how I can go. Hopefully someday.

Congrats to Quiltymom and Disney Baby!!! Great ladies everyone!!! Thanks for the awesome challenge Britt!!! :)

And yes - Josh and I were just talking about getting ourselves to WDW. It's just so much more expensive than our little trips to Disneyland!!! I don't think we can save enough money to go any time soon. :(
I really hope you get to go soon!!! There is so much there that isn't found at DL. Though my sister and I did miss a few things that are found only at DL like Monsters, Inc. I love that ride. I really wish they would bring it to WDW.

I actually just compared the expenses from our DL trip last year and the WDW from this year because I was curious to see which one was more expensive. The WDW trip was only $200 more, but that included the price of our rental car, which isn't a needed expensive. Without the rental car it was only $30 more than DL. One of the most expensive parts of our DL trip though was the airfare. Its so much cheaper for us to fly to FL than CA. We got a great deal on our airfare, but it was still $261 per person. Though the buy 4, get 3 free deal really helped save money on our WDW trip as well.

Don't worry Britt we feel the same way. Living in CA makes Disneyland so much cheaper. We also figure WDW will need 2-3 weeks as we won't be going back anytime soon after we go. Our kids are just to little and with wanting more it may be 10+ years until we get to go. But DL is just as much fun (or at least I keep trying to tell myself that).
DL is fun, but so is WDW. I think they both have their strengths and weaknesses. I love how easy it is to park hop at DL. Its so much more complicated at WDW. Though on our trip we hopped from MK to DHS and then back to WDW! LOL That was a pretty insane day. I loved being able to just walk across the plaza at DL to visit the other park or even Downtown. I think WDW has the better restaurants and resorts. I think my favorite place to dine at WDW is EPCOT because there are so many different dining options.

You're so lucky to live so close. I would love to be that close to WDW. You really should get to DL. It is different from WDW, but is lots of fun. And it is fun to see the park that Walt built. And as far as the attractions being better at DL I think that is up for debate. I think I like the Tea Cups and Pirates better at WDW. I was so bored by Pirates at DL. It is way toooooo long. I like the shorter version at WDW. I think Pooh is better at DL. The cars are so much cuter. The train ride around the park is a lot better at DL. We were disappointed with the train ride around the Magic Kingdom at WDW. A lot of the rides I really didn't see much different like Peter Pan. I think Snow White is better at WDW. The one at DL is so super fast and doesn't really tell the story as well as at WDW. I think my sister said she liked Big Thunder better at WDW. And I think WDW has the better queue for "It's Tough to be a Bug." I liked at DL that we were able to ride Soarin' before the park was even officially opened.

While I'm not as close to WDW as you (still need to get on a plane), I also would LOVE to go to DL. I keep looking for excuses on how I can go. Hopefully someday.
I thought you've been to DL? You really should go! And while you're there you can go visit a certain skater. ;) I wish we would have had had time to go see her rink. Too bad said skater isn't going to be competing at Worlds this year because that would have been a great excuse. ;)

In my very biased, not-so-humble opinion, EVERYONE must go to Disneyland at least once in their lifetime. Followed by a WDW trip. Then a Disney Cruise.

Yeah, I think that says it all! :teeth:

I grew up going to Disneyland, from way back in the days when they had the original house of the future, the inner-space ride and the big rocket smack dab in the middle of Tomorrowland. The best thing they ever did to DL was to update Fantasyland. The worst thing was when they removed the wonderful Mary Blair mosaics from the CircleVision Theater, which now houses Buzz. I love DL and think that it's better than WDW in many ways, but then WDW has different and just as wonderful things to see. I love them both!

Now I'm just trying to see if I can scrape enough loose change together to bring the kids to California Adventure this summer. I gotta ride the Orange Stinger before it becomes no more!

I haven't posted here in a while, but wanted to say "WOW", what amazingly beautiful layouts you all did on this challenge!:thumbsup2 You've given me lots of inspiration.:)

You better get there before the end of April!! That's when its closing!!!!! But instead of being sad, I've decided to just be excited about the Silly Symphony swings. I'm sure those will be cute too.

And I am TOTALLY biased too, but I love Disneyland more than anything. It's the original park that Walt built. It's special and magical in that way. I know I can't love WDW as much when I finally get to go, but I do expect to have fun.
