I knew I'd forgotten to do something, post on here!

Well I weighed myself on Monday, and was half a stone more than the last time I weighed myself so that's not good. My first goal is to shed 3 stone by the end of the year so if I loose 1lb a week that is easily achievable.

I am not following any paticular diet at the moment, I am just trying to eat healthy and DF weighs me each week but if that doesn't work I will go back to SW.

I am also planning on lots of exercise, last night I swam over 1200 metres and Friday I plan to swim a mile. Big gasp I am joining the gym as well. Plus I am going to get a Wii Fit.

My first 3 days have been terrible as I'm surrounded by leftover Christmas chocolate at home and work plus we had Krispy Kremes at our weekly meeting.

Hopefully I can pull it off but my wedding is a big incentive.

Good luck everyone.

I've got the Paul McKenna Books and Cd's at home and the principles work really well actually but I also found it really helpful to download the cd's onto my MP3 player and then go to sleep at night listening to it.

I often felt different in the morning and wasn't so obsessed with food like I am usually but DH used to get fed up because i'd still be eating my meals half an hour after he'd finished :rolleyes1

Good luck :thumbsup2

I might try this.

You can get the whole PM set including 5 cds and the 90 journal on EBAY, I got a brand new set for £19, it sells at about £40 odd on his website so it was a lot cheaper :goodvibes

Thanks for the info.

I have done my Wii Fit this morning and according to my body test I've lost 2lb since the 2nd Jan. I'm chuffed but DH and I agreed to have our "at home weigh-in" on Monday evenings as it's an incentive to be good at weekends (which is when we usually resort to eating out and take aways) so I will report my true weight loss on tuesdays ::yes::
I was shocked/pleased by how much my BMI went down just with 2lb loss. Like Natalie said, every pound counts:thumbsup2

Did anybody see the Claire Sweeney documentary two nights ago, all I'm saying is :scared1:

Well done, Joanne! :thumbsup2 That's a couple of pounds in less than a week! :worship:

I only saw the end and didn't really understand what was going on. Did she eat whatever she wanted for 6 weeks? :confused3

Thanks Karen, I want to take it easy so I'm happy with any weekly loss:)

It was such an eye opener. She ate what ever she wanted (didn't binge, just didn't contemplate the consequences) and gave up her normal exercise routine. Six weeks = two stone, two dress sizes, 10in on her waist, three cup sizes, two inches on each thigh, and high blood pressure:scared1:
The before and after shots were amazing.

Blimey!!! What on earth did she want to eat that would make her put on 2 stone IN 6 WEEKS?????!!!!!!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

You could tell that Claire enjoys food (which she admitted) when she went and did her first shop she bought things that she'd denied herself for years (gold top milk, cream cakes) she also went to restaurants and didn't think too much about her choice (when sometimes she admitted she wouldn't even look at the menu, instead she would leave after drinks and not eat) so she always chose lamb instead of ordering chicken the way she told them to cook it etc etc. She drank more alcohol. She ate fish and chips, she ate fried chicken burgers instead of grilled breast - she ate what she fancied when she fancied, and she found that the more she ate the more she wanted/craved, so she was overeating by quite a bit in the end.
I've found that ITV1 have a catch-up, so you can view it here:

Thanks so much, Joanne - I confess to being very intrigued. :thumbsup2 Sounds like they chose her on purpose if she's such a food orientated gal - maybe the programme makers were looking for someone who'd go for it. Her usual life of denial must be tough tho' - I can't imagine not looking at a restaurant menu!!! I live, therefore I dine out... :lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

Tomorrow is my first weigh-in, I started my diet last friday and weighed 11st 9lb and I've been really good all week. I want to get to 10st for my holidays :)

I went to the first aquacise class of the new year last night and it felt really good.:lmao:
I missed the last 2 of 2008 as I was really ill, but was determined to go last night, to make sure I carried on going and didn't just give up. It seemed easy.:confused3 But the walk home afterwards wasn't.:rotfl:

2 Medium Chicken Breasts
1 Medium Red Onion
6 Tbsp Tomato Ketchup
¾ Cup of Diet Coke (Not Pepsi Max or Coke zero – too sweet)
Couple of dashes of Worcester Sauce (to taste)

Instructions
1. Dice chicken and slice onion and brown off in Frylight.
2. Add Ketchup and diet coke and Worcester Sauce

4. Once it has gotten to a thick consistency (sticky) then serve

it was very tasty :thumbsup2

That sounds nice Nat. :thumbsup2

I wonder how many syns that would be for Slimming World.....I'l have to work it out and give it a go next week.

sounds really nice, think i will give it a try Nat :thumbsup2

We had simple chicken wraps last night...much better than bread :thumbsup2

We simply used silces of chicken, and covered them with tikka flavouring and then put that together with salad (tomatoes, peppers, onion & leuttice).

They were really tasty and simple to make. DBF had them whipped up within 10 minutes :thumbsup2

Just an alternative to bread for you all :)
