Oh thanks, that's fab 1.5 points - I might have two:lmao:

Yep 1.5 points compared to 4 points for a regular. 4 point takes up to many of my daily point allowance so well worth switching. Its amazing how just little changes can make such a difference.

You're welcome.
I really want a wii fit I've been scouring the internet for days but can't find one :sad1:

I got mine brand new on EBAY, we paid about £20 more than the standard retail price but it was the only way we could get one, there are loads on there :goodvibes

Does anyone else do low carb or is it just me?

im going for my 1st weigh-in tonight  im expecting to be 11st 5lb and i want to get down to 10st

I was hoping to walk to and from school but the weather is awful here today so that will have to wait for now !

I used to work in hotels in London some 14 years ago :scared1: and every now and again we would forget to bring the sugar up to the office so one day I just decided to give up sugar in tea and oh my god it was awful but I remember one day suddenly exclaiming out loud to my work colleagues 'oh my god, this tea actually tastes realy good without sugar in it'.

It only took 2 weeks for this to become a habit and I think those in the know say that it only takes something like 23 days for something to become a habit.....

It still tastes awful but I'll stick with it until at least the end of Jan and see what it's like then. Hopefully I'll have a "revelation" about the taste before then ;)

Has anyone got any low fat recipes they would like to share ? im a bit stuck in a rut food wise ;)

I was thinking this would be a good idea too:thumbsup2

I'll get the ball rolling and hope it helps.
I think my evening meals are quite healthy (as I'm concious of what the girls eat) so I find I can have them, it's the portion control I need to get on top of:rolleyes: particularly the carbs. Up your intake of grilled fish and lower the red meat. Don't touch that garlic bread (particularly if you're having pasta) Try stir fries with chicken breast that has been marinated in a simple clear marinade like soy, ginger, chilli and lime is tasty and I'm lucky that my girls like it. I find traditional meals like stew (minus the dumplings) are quite good and I do mine in a slow cooker on days that we have after school activites. Grilled Fish fingers are great too for those night when you can't be bothered to think (swap from chips to boiled potatoes). I don't swap to brown rice or pasta as my girls just won't eat it, so if I have it - I just have less.
Cous cous and roasted veg is popular in my house - I do a lot of roasted veg when dieting and it's nice with grilled chicken breast kebabs.

For lunch I swap from bread to wraps and pittas with lots of salad (rocket, shredded carrot, spring onions and cucumber etc) and either a few dollops of low fat houmous or sliced chicken breast or lean ham. Sometimes I make enough cous cous and roasted veg the night before to have cold for my lunch with a tiny bit of french dressing drizzed over.

Another tip for stay at home Mums/Dads/Childminders - if you go to a toddler group with a lovely tea and biscuit table, I take a can of diet coke then I don't visit the tea and biscuits.
I also find myself eating leftovers from the girls plates before I load the dishwasher :guilty: what I do now is take the bottle of fairy into the dining room and when they are finished I squirt fairy onto the plates before scraping into the bin then I can't eat the leftovers. My friends think I'm nuts but it works!

Hope this helps:)

I have loads of books, have you thought about going into charity shop and getting books?I got a few rosemary connley and big posh low fat ones for next to nothing, I have got lots from the local charity shops, even if it is to get ideas from them,

my easy fav is low fat chicken tonight with quorn pieces and mushrooms, thats real easy and pretty yummy, lots of sauce so you can have lots of vegis with it.

I have never taken sugar so cant comment, but I used to take a little bit of milk, EVERBODY used to put too much in so eventually I stopped getting milk when some one was making me tea or coffee, then even just a little started to be yuk, so now I take nothing what so ever in my hot drinks, so I think it will work!!

great ideas Jo and Lynne :thumbsup2

Joanne ive just refused a choc bar at the toddler group and everyone looked at me as if i had 2 heads :rotfl2:

My toddler group this morning has started cutting up fruit for the Mums now as well as the children - so I had my take-along Diet Coke and half a banana!

i have just had,my 1st weigh in & i know,i have took drastic measures,by doing lipotrim,but omg,i am so spurned on,for next week!
i lost 1 stone 1 pound:cool1: :cool1:
my husband weighs 9 stone & fair play to him,he has not ate 1 thing,in front of me,all week.
we manage a pub.i do the bar & he is in the kitchen, which is on the 1st floor, where our flat is,so he has been eating, before i finish downstairs,on the bar & coming up,so i haven't even had to cook for him.:)
it has been quite easy really.i find it harder,at night, but i have just been getting engrossed,in some good books,to keep me occupied.will start going walking this week, but it's so cold!
just want to wish, everybody good luck & hope,we can do this together!
