 Well done Karen, I wish I could lose weight on a Krispy Kreme diet :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

i haven't been around for a while..
been traveling in the states (i'm still here, for another 2 weeks)..

anyway, i've managed to lose about 2 stone since i had surgery on january 1...
and i've lost lots of inches....and feel great...and since i'm in the states, i've bought lots and lots of clothes...well..not lots and lots...but i have managed to clean out chicos (my favorite store here)...:cool1:

Well done Mandy and Karen (obviously the burger, shakes and fries diet works a treat Karen ;))

My DS seems to manage it, Mandy! :lmao: He bought a box of 12 on Friday afternoon and they were all gone by Sunday evening!!! I had two - a ring doughnut covered in icing and sprinkles plus one filled with chocolate mousse!!! OMG delcious!!! One would go fah-bu-lously with my coffee right now...

it was actually the best thing....i put it off for so many years, because i was both terrified of surgery and had read so many negative things about the surgery on the internet..
in the end i had to have the surgery or die (hysterectomy)...
i had this massive massive uterus - the size of a 6 month pregnancy...
anyway, enough of the gory details...suffice to say that i feel unbelievably well and i can't believe i waited so long to have the surgery....
and yes, if you're wondering, i do believe the weight loss is connected...i think that my body's digestion/metabolism was terribly disrupted by that massive thing in my body.....also, after it was removed and after waiting the required recovery period, i've finally been able to exercise properly...
so combined, i've been able to lose weight...

anyway, alls well that ends well...

Well done Karen :cool1:

Welcome back Beth :)

thanks! the trick now is to keep it off...actually, i want to lose about another stone....or more like 20 pounds....but i'll be very happy if i can at least keep off what i've lost...

I have to say that i find keeping it off much harder than losing weight :scared1:

  I'm chuffed to report that I have lost 2 lbs this week. Not sure how I did it, but I'll take it anyway

:wizard: Good Luck for next week everyone:wizard:

Well done Mandy!

i'll be happy to even stay the same for next weeks weigh in, badly fell off the diet bandwagon yesterday (large double decker milkshake, 4 rather large glasses of baileys and the rest of the tub of ben and jerrys in the freezer).
hope it hasnt messed it up too much. back on it today though, feeling bad for letting myself down, was proud that i was doing so well up til then. now just praying for sts

Don't worry we all do it from time to time  ...at least your back on it now. Good luck. :wizard:

And well done, Claire - that's such a small gain after spending 9 days in Marbella with all that delicious food and wine... :cloud9:

Thanks Karen...I am really pleased with only gaining 2.5lbs, especially as I drank at least one bottle of wine per day...as well as the Vodka's & San Miguel's.

Well done on your 2lb loss.....OMG I love Krispy Kreme's!!!!! YUMMY!
I really want one now with my cup of tea. :hyper:

i do as well...i'm one of those people who has lost thousands of pounds over my lifetime (or at least it seems that way)..
keeping it off is so much harder...well...losing is hard too....but the keeping part seems almost impossible...
but i hope to finally stick to it for once in my life...

Good luck, I am sure you will manage to get to your goal.

thanks!

Thanks..
i think maybe the trick is, to keep with the group here and be honest with the group and myself when i gain....that will hopefully keep me in line...

Welldone Mandy, Karen Tracey, Claire, Netty, and DisneyHolic!

You are all doing really well!

I have been very good this week since my weigh in, it's hard when you first start up again isn't it, I thought I was going to drop down of starvation on Tuesday - suppose it just shows you how much I have been eating when I shouldn't have! Just got to get through the weekend now and I should be fine for Monday's weigh in!

Tracey - 550 calories a day sounds like torture! What were you eating to stay at 550 cals a day then?

the first2 weeks are shakes and then you can add the bars- which are much nicer.
it is hard core dieting, but it is working for me. you have to have a high bmi to be allowed to do it, my bmi is 26-27 now, so i want (and my leader wants) me to start moving onto normal food.
i am now allowed 2 weetabix with ss milk for bfast, a sheke for lunch, a bar 4ish when i get home and salad and chicken for tea.
i appreciate that for some people this would not be enough, but i can no longer eat the food i couls (luckily) and i have lost on cambridge 46lb (do you think i can lose that last four:confused3 , and i have previously lost 2 stone on ww.
i have gone from, at my largest a size 28 to a size 14-16.
i love food, have no will power and cheat on all diets, coco pops are my evil, and bread on this diet (no bread allowed).
i stopped drinking alcohol 2 years ago when i was losing weight to go to wdw last time, and honestly do not miss it. lots of the CD stuff is chocolate so i am not missing that either.
if anyone wants anymore info they can pm me- i have tried all the diets (and i teach food tech with a food degree).
the diet is safe- but its not easy!
good luck to everyone next week i wi wednesday now so i am not the last one anymore:rotfl2:
tracy

I put on 1lb this week but was actually expecting more.

We've had a German market in town and I LOVE:lovestruc Bratwursts and Baklava so that was my diet this week ;)

It should come off this week so here's hoping!
