It's Monday again, and time for another week of dieting ;) Christmas is creeping up on us and I'd just like to lose a few more pounds just so I can have a total blow out on the big day :yay:

:hug: Hugs to anyone who may have put on, and really can't get into the swing of dieting with it being so cold (I totally understand, it's hard to see any changes when you're having to wear big warm clothes and jeans) :wizard: I hope you get back on track soon

I weighed in on Friday and had STS, I am so busy at the moment I have decided to just try and Maintain by sticking to my gym routine etc but not worring too much about the scales until after Christmas and then go for it big time in January.

I think a lot of people are thinking that way too. I know all I can think about is the meals that I will be having with friends and family over the next 6 weeks and I can't see how I'll STS never mind lose as we get into December ~ I am looking forward to the party season though :santa:

I havent been THAT naughty since we came back from holiday and in the last 2 weeks I have put on 8lb:eek::eek::eek:

So its back into the gym for me most days and chicken and veg for tea every night too :rotfl: (how difficult is it to get up at 6am when its icy and dark outside :rolleyes:)

Looking for 2lb a week for the next 3 weeks to get me happy again :lovestruc

Good luck everyone this week - just think of all those healthy soups and stews you can have in this cold weather!

I got on the scales this morning and my weight varied from 9st 4lbs to 10st 7lbs, something tells me I need a new battery :rotfl2::rotfl2:

When I weighed in yesterday morning I had lost 2lbs this week, but I have to be honest, I had a bad day yesterday which included a Milky Way, Pringles and half of hubby's chippy chips, so I'm not really sure how accurate that weight loss is :blush:

As there are so few of us posting our weight at the moment, I will keep this thread open till 1st December, then I will post a December thread, and then in the New Year I will go back to posting a weekly thread

Weighed in this morning and I have STS this week. Starting new gym next week so hope the push of a new regime helps me with a bit more loss.

Well its a 2Lb loss for me this week :cool1::cool1:

Did a load of baking this weekend - but did manage to put all of it in the freezer for Xmas before eating it!

Have a night at pizza express on Wednesday but hoping to stay on the short and narrow for the next couple of weeks ;)

Good luck to every one this week - the more we lose in the next couple of weeks the more room we have to "play" with over Christmas.

BE PREPARED!!!

Shop with healthy eating in mind and prepare lunches & dinner the night before so you're not tempted to eat cr*p if you have nothing else.
I know its a pain but it only takes 5 minutes to chop up an apple/pineapple (for that sweet fix) and some carrots to snack on during the day.
If you take lunch/dinner with you, you will be less tempted to buy last minute sandwiches/microwave food from the supermarket.
If you can, dont eat carbs after 6pm - fill your plate with meat and lots of veggies
Use the extra light cheese triangles instead of butter in baked potatos, use less sauces - ie ketchup as they are full of suger.
If you have a free day, make a batch of dinners so you always have something in the freezer.
Make your own muesli so you know whats in it.

I know its difficult - but where you can make good choices - i have learnt to only take one biscuit from the tin rather than a handful and have learnt that I CAN say no to afternoon cake! It IS really hard, but it is worth it.
If I really want some chocolate/cake I will have some, I enjoy it and dont feel guilty about it - but I would if I did it every day!
Try to up your exercise 2/3 days a week - can you take a half hour walk in your lunch hour twice a week?

Aim for 2lb a week and you will be losing fat rather than water - a big loss will generally only be water. Stick with it - if you have a bad day get right back on it the next day so the week isnt a wash out. Hang up in your bedroom something you'd like to wear at Xmas - this will be your reminder for the day that that extra biscuit really ISNT worth it!

Well done to those who have lost or STS this week. :goodvibes For those that are struggling or gained just keep at it as you will get there, one bad day does not need to be one bad week. It is hard but "just keep swimming" :fish: ....er I mean slimming. ;)

I've had a few months where I was really struggling but I managed to keep a lid on it by still getting weighed each week, thankfully I only gained 2lbs across those two months. I finally seemed to have turned a corner & have been back on it since last Thursday. I got weighed this morning & have lost 3 lbs. :cool1:

Unfortunately I won't be weighing in next Tuesday as I am in DLRP for 3 days but up until I go & as soon as I get back I am going to be good as I want to hit my next target before christmas......I want to lose five & a half pounds which will get me to my next mini target. :)

instead of losing weight I have piled it on and I feel really sorry for myself, but I just get so hungry when its so cold :headache:

Sorry Andrea, I don't know anything about it :hug: but I wanted to send you a big hug, it's hard to diet when it's cold and you're wearing loads of layers so wouldn't see any weight loss anyway :hug:

I hope you get back on track soon hun x
 
Hi Girls

Im so sorry I havent been around, I have well and truly fell off the dieting wagon:confused:I had been doing so well, and I do get very annoyed with myself when I give up. Ive lost a total of 1 stone and 1lb, but my motivation has gone.

Ive had a very busy week and have eaten on the go which is no good at all, and Im dreading getting on the scales as I can already feel my clothes starting to get tighter and the bloated feeling come back again.

I will be along to encourage you all until Christmas and then I will start again in the new year, I just know its no good me saying I will try again before because I know I wont:sad2:

Well done everyone who has lost and stayed the same for the past couple of weeks and good luck to you all for the next week xxxx

.....the trouble is, when I feel sorry for myself I eat Chocolate:eek:
