I just received my new ressie with the Dis-con rate of $129.00. ( I had ressies--senior rate of $169.00 before --standard view). New reservation states "lakeview" I'm hopeing this means just what it says---a view of the lake between BC/YC, BWV/BWI, and Dolphin. I guess I hope it wasn't a typo and we might really only have a standard view. Question is----Do Dis-con reservations get an automatic upgrade? I'm just thrilled to be going but having a LAKEVIEW would be the best. I know this is minor but don't want to get my hopes up.

Thanks PattyN

Hi Patty,
There are no automatic upgrades that I know of, the $129 rate was to be the standard view. Maybe call back and reiterate the price you want and the view. If it is an upgrade, cool, but I don't want you to have an unpleasant surprises at checkin. :)
Thanks
Cathy

Lakeview is an upgrade, though it means that you are facing the lake between the Swan and the Dolphin. It means that you are most likely in the main part of the building and not the fingers sections. Hope this helps. :)

View info/ Balcony info
Lake View rooms are mostly between the "fingers" of the building, with view of Crescent lake area, but a limited view due to the building. The Resort view rooms are more of a "wide open" view, with the possibility of view of the white sandy beach area, pools, or even Epcot. Standard rooms we describe as "non designated view", and most are on the wooded side or parking lot areas. The Swan "standard views" tend to have a bit better view (MGM ,TOT)than the Dolphin due to location. Front of either hotel is "Standard" views. Hope this helps people a little more!

Balcony rooms tend to be on the fingers or wings of each resort and in rooms facing the other resort. Balconies have two chairs and a small table. Balcony rooms 3rd floor and below tend to have balcony rooms right next to each other. Rooms over the 3rd floor alternate room with a balcony and room w/o.

Hope this helps...taken from the Swan and Dolphin FAQ located on the resort board. Or by clicking on the link in my siggie!!

Thanks for the info ---I don't think I could be dissapointed with anything --even if I tried. It says Lakeview--so I'll leave it at that.. Maybe they know how much I'm looking forward to this trip and how much I need a Disney fix other wise known as A vacation.

If that is what is printed that is what you will get!!!
Hope you enjoy!!!
