Wow it is so great to hear from Barbara and Ann, it is so good to hear some of our long standing members.
Now if Laura and Merry would chime in, we would have completed the circle.
I did have a short pm from Laura in March, and she is doing ok, was planning a short trip as I remember.
Ann, my mom has had great results from both her chiropractor visits and accupuncture. Hope you do the same. And hope you enjoy your Colorado trip againt his year. It sounds divine
Hers two was muscle strain in the neck.
Barbara, My DH, our DD15 and I met DD21 and her boyfriend yesterday for lunch in New Orleans. We had not met him before and he was a little nervous about just showing up at our house apparently. Maybe now we broke the ice and they will come and stay sometime. It seems a bit serious there, who knows 21 is a very young age and he wants to be a neuro surgeon like his dad, so lots of schooling and hardwork ahead for this young man from new Jersey. DD21 did meet his parents and older brother during the summer, and they actually visited the Long Branch beach area that has been shown on the hurricane coverage some this morning.
Hope the electricity holds out a bit more. I forgot to add yesterday that email was by far the best communication avenue for us and our houseguests during Katrina. We only lost power for 8 hours at our house, but everyone was able to contact employers and figure out which city they were supposed to regroup in and what living arrangements would be. Also, we were able to make alternate school applications. We had multiple laptops going as well as our good old pc. Before the days of iphone and most of us were not using smart phones in 2005.
Obviously this won't work if you are using home computers and the electricity is out, but I am using my iphone now for email too. It is harder to see on the small screen but I am getting better it as time goes on.
Stay safe everyone.
