I can relate to the mother thing. I'm having "issues", too. Mine said something that upset me yesterday, but she doesn't know I heard it (actually, DD heard it and told me

). We invite her to come out with us a lot (she lives with us), but she very rarely wants to come anywhere. But if we don't invite her, she feels hurt. She's not dependent on us persay, but she doesn't have a lot of friends she socializes with, either, by choice. People invite her, but she doesn't go. It gets frustrating sometimes. Anyway, Merry, I'm sorry about your party and especially your cat. Glad you're back, missed you.
Ann, my husband and son fly fish, too! (Ocean, most of the time, which is unusual.) My DH has been making his own flies for years, though he hasn't had a lot of time to do it lately. It's kind of funny the things you can make flies out of - any kind of animal hair (which we have plenty of), surgical tubing, foam, you name it. Enjoy! I've never tried it myself (though I'll take lots of pictures while they're fishing

) but I hear it's very relaxing.
Sha, that's awesome about Celebrations! I found a link for the magazine

(never knew about it) but not the article. Would really love to see it sometime. Congratulations. Will keep your friend in my prayers.
Cheryl, glad your mother's on the mend.
LMP, every appointment is another adventure for you, isn't it? I would imagine the food part is really difficult. I'd be having major cravings if I knew I couldn't have something.

How difficult. But you are doing an impressive job hanging in and keeping your sense of humopr. Kudos to you!
Laurie, have things settled down a bit at home? I hope you're pampering yourself somehow.
Laura, you sound well. You're also doing a great job hanging in, sista.

Glad you had a nice nite out with hubby.
Beady Lady, good to see you.
jsg, how are you doing?
Maureen, how are you?
TruBlu, how are things going with your mother?
The kids and I are on vacation this week. I'm spending a lot of time spinning my wheels, LOL. (Lots to do but not getting a lot done.) Oh well. Good news is that my son's team finally won some games this weekend, 3 out of 4! We were all exhausted! The sweetest part is that my son (whose bat was off to a slow start the first few games - he and all of the kids were nervous as this is the first time any of them have done an independent league whereas the teams they're playing have all been around for a while) got lots of hits and scored the winning run in extra innings.

We are off to our first out of state tournament this weekend, it should be fun as we have a great group of people.
Stay well, everyone. And GAGWTA!
