Dis-Aunties only, no dacky's allowed please thread. :)

I did some shopping for a baby shower yesterday, and came across a cute scrapbook kit for boys, so I bought it, and plan on using some pieces for this project, and some for the other baby, since I don't have any 8 x8 papers. OK, so great idea until I get home and see each page that is part of this book has 2 holes, like loose leaf paper.

Would it be tacky to use stickers over the holes? Be honest, I am new to all this, even though I have collected supplies for years, mostly for making cards. My other option is put the kit back together, and save it for the next person I know who has a grandson! Thanks, Deb

you could always trim down the pages in the kit and mount them on 8 x 8 cardstock that coordinates!

I agree with either trimming it down w/ an accent paper or make a border of accent paper to cover the holes... I have seen it done on youtube videos where they loved the paper but not an accent so they covered the accent on the background paper w/a border! :)

Should we only write on one side of the tag?

Also, Rachal will you PM me your address to make sure I have the right one- Thx!! Not quite finished yet, but just so I have it when I am ready.

Rachal,
I'm doing the cover/sign in page... Are you wanting a pocket for the tags for sign in??? I thought about doing a pair of mickey shorts and make it a pocket so you can tuck the tags into the shorts... ;) Just let me know...

or maybe a glass slipper would be cute as a pocket and tuck in the tags of all his princess Dis Aunts.

You are? I missed that. :) I was planning on putting the tags in the back of the book as the end. Doing princess theme for the dis aunties. Since the rest is all boy. :) but I'm fine with whatever.

Just checking in to say one layout done, and 2 to go!

I hit a snag; maybe someone knows? I tried cutting with the Cricut Pooh cart, and I don't like the way it cuts. I have Pooh at 6" and am using Bazzill paper, but it's not cutting cleanly. Especially the small details. I tried different pressure settings, but I just don't like the way it's cutting. Is there a secret?

If not, then I need to change the layout. And this was my Disney one. I have a plan B, but it doesn't have Disney elements.

I always cut bazzill. Use a sticky mat, sharp blade. Pressure max, speed slow.

Thanks! I got it to cut.

I'll do the Birth Announcement & Favorites pages. Maybe a few more if I get off to a good start. ;)

Hi everyone. I need your attention for a moment.

Please take a sec to read here: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3091739

I need to know how many of you are done with your pages?

We have been discussing changing all the pages into general pages due to the recent events. Or maybe even titles not attached. We really want her to be able to use this book one way or the other.

Please let me know your thoughts ladies.

I haven't even picked yet - was waiting to see what was left after I got done with work
thinking now to hold off until after baby is born & see what is needed
this is really too sad - hoping & praying for the best :worried::hug:

Oh my goodness, my heart aches for them. No problem with taking a new direction.....whatever you all think is best. Praying for them all.
