Dirty planes

Planes are absolutely filthy . The crew that comes on in between flights does a cursory job . You have to clean everything and assume it’s dirty . When I see people put their things in the pocket in front of their seat I want to puke . When you return from the bathroom you should use a wipe or sanitizer even after washing hands . They say the air vent up above is super filthy. Never gets cleaned . You should see me wiping down everyone’s seat and tray tables etc . My kids think I’m crazy but I don’t care! And don’t drink the coffee . The pots never get cleaned out .
If you found out how filthy your own computer keyboard is you would never post again.

I've been flying JetBlue a lot lately - very clean planes, no issues at all.

I've sat at the gate many times and watched my plane come in, passengers deplane, crew deplanes, the plane sits for awhile, the catering truck pulls up, baggage gets loaded, crew boards then my flight is boarded. I'm sure someone empties the trash and does a cursory check of the plane, but there's definitely no time for a thorough cleaning. I've found sticky rings and crumbs on my tray table before. Sometimes there's something tucked in the seat pocket. I never see visible trash or messes when I board. I've learned to take a pack of wet wipes and do my own cleaning. I wipe the tray table, armrests, air control, etc. It only takes a few seconds and at least it will be cleaner than if I didn't do it at all.

I book the first flight in the morning for this exact reason. Does anyone really think they have time to fully clean between each flight?

Post Pandemic I've flown Southwest, Delta, and American. I haven't noticed any filth. I assume they are germy, but they have always been so. I am still wearing a mask when I fly, and try to be careful about where I place my hands and use a bit of sanitizer.

We've flown 3x this year and I don't think it was any different than normal. Usually we are near the back of the plane, and as we deboard, the cleaning crew is often already getting started up in the front. The grossest spot is the restroom, which after a several hour flight just kind of tends to get nasty. I do wish they would clean those up every so often in-flight. Wasn't sure if the liquids on the floor were just excess water from washing hands or something else.
