What's the best way to get from Animal Kingdom to the HDDR? And, about how long will it take? We're going to the 5pm show and I don't want to be late. Thanks in advance!:goodvibes

Fort Wilderness bus - I believe those buses go all through FW (as opposed to dropping you at the entrance and having you switch to a different bus) and tell the driver where you're going and could she/he please let you know when you're at Hoop Dee Doo.

I would suggest taking the bus to MK or Contemporary and then taking a boat to Fort Wilderness.

Okay then. Since I figure Maine-iac knows better than I do :), I would take the Contemporary option. The bus from Animal Kingdom goes to the Ticket & Transportation Center; you'd still need to get over to the Magic Kingdom by monorail or ferry, or the Contemporary by monorail, to get a boat to Fort Wilderness.

Drive from AK to the Fort Wilderness parking lot. You will then get on an internal Fort Wilderness bus that will take you to where HDDR is. Just ask as you get on the bus so you have the right bus. This is how we did it this summer. It is kinda nice riding the bus thru the campground and seeing what it looks like, took us about 20 minutes from parking lot to HDDR. May have been less but I'm being conservative.

probably from in your car at the AK parking lot to Fort Wilderness parking lot 20 minutes. It is from one end of the property to the other. But I would allow at least 30 -35 minutes in case of traffic, or missing a turn. One thing Fort Wilderness is a nice place to spend a few extra minutes waiting. The trading post is nice, there is the beach, a playground if you have little kids, a petting area and last time a man carving rings that was really interesting to watch.

Ok is this Ronda QOATD?:wave2: Anyway I wasn't sure about the bus to MK so I added the bus to Contemp. But I see they will be driving their own car so maybe driving to FW will be best. I do not know anything about the internal buses at FW though. I just really enjoy the boat rides.
