The current direct sales incentives from the guides is to include “backdated” 2024 points without payment of any dues on them. Does anyone know if this is possible for any use year, including Feb, March and April?

2024 UY points only exist if you are within the 2024 UY.

The three UYs you listed are all past their 2024 UY and now in the 2025 UY.

June, August, September, October, and December 2025 UYs have not yet started and would all include 2024 UY points if you purchased direct today.

The annual dues fall with the calendar year and NOT the UY which is why no one is paying any 2024 dues if they buy a contract in calendar year 2025 regardless of UY.

That’s just sales talk. As explained above, they can’t sell you 2024 points for a UY that’s already started its 2025 UY.

And when buying direct, dues are prorated on the calendar year. So anyone buying June 1, for instance, will pay 7/12 of the dues for that resort for calendar year 2025, no matter which UY they buy.

This is why sometimes I feel that later use years simply have an advantage over earlier use years. You can always buy some points direct just before your use year with the previous years' points still on the contract and get 2 years of points while only effectively paying a small percentage of 1 year of dues for that first set of double points.

Agreed!! December has the advantage here!! the disadvantage is trying to explain to SO that we are halfway done with 2025 but we are still in the 2024 Use year :)

The other concept that’s hard to explain is that since booking at 11 months holds significant advantage, we are not really as point poor as it may seem on paper, when holding something like 0% in current UY and only 50% in the next. Add in walking and that only makes it more true.

Our points are in exactly that position right now and even if wanted book 4 months out we have access to 150% of our annual point allotment (Sept UY). Meanwhile DH thinks our account is depleted lol.

I’m impressed your spouse has learned how to log in. Mine likes the trips but has little interest in learning how it works. I am not positive they even activated their login! This is why I want to keep our membership as low stress and simple as possible: what if someday someone else has to book the trip? Multiple use years, etc could get very confusing!

Very similar to our situation. I will ask where to stay with a few options as not to overwhelm SO. Then I will know if I’m good at one of our home resorts or need to be on at 8 am at the 7 month window

My spouse is only along for the ride because his wife and kids love WDW. I think AUL is his favorite, but still not enough to handle any of the organization/booking/etc. Even now that we own VGC he will remind me he prefers the Westin. 🤪
My big goal for 2025 is to get him to figure out how to link his Y card membership (which I guess is slightly different than mine?) into his WDW account and apple wallet so he can check in for star view station without me.

My husband seriously asked me which hotel we own this morning. He really seemed like he didn't know. He's gone through all the purchases with me and I, of course, explained everything to him each time. 🤣 The upside is that he saw how excited I was when I was telling him about each resort and what I like to do there.

Oh boy. I’d love to own VGC! Not that Westin isn’t good… but currently there is no comparison to having a VGC contract. A true league of its own.

Don't worry. Mine knows we own at Beach Club. We haven't been to Bay Lake ever, and I'm not positive they are aware we own the bulk of our points there, even though they also signed all the paperwork. LOL. They also told me "nothing beats Beach Club" so we will basically always be trying to use our BLT points at BCV (hello, 2 BD life!). I can't really disagree myself!
