I have Direct TV DSL and they are shutting down their service as of Jan 16. Well yesterday night my DSL goes off with no warning. I go to the website and can't log on any longer. Their phone number no longer works. Now did reqest they turn off my DSL but they could have at leasy emailed me with a date. As it stands now the gaterway seems open but I cannot access it.
I'm on an AOL landline which means I can't surf and use my tty at the same time.

Assuming you're getting a new DSL service (or cable modem) when does your new service start? Until then, best wishes, I still use a dial-up service and tie up my phone line - my biggest problem that it is so S-L-O-W. I only stay with it because it is so much cheaper than any high speed service in our area.

WoW,I thought about getting Direct TV DSL but the weather here often blocks our Direct TV and we just get a black picture. I knew I would go Balistic if that happened to a DSL connection that I was paying BIG bucks for!lol!!

Sorry this happened to you. My cell phone Co. went belly up!! Can you get a Cable TV DSL?? That wouldn't mess with your Telephone line. I hope you can work it out soon. Here is some extra special Pixie Dust for you !!

I received an email regarding this from my previous DSL service. And that affected lots of my friends. Some were given free transfer to Verizon. I guess it depends on where you live.

I used to have Speakeasy DSL when I lived in NJ. Very very good. Never a problem, relatively cheap, and very fast. Try them if you can get them.
