I just took the plunge and bought 100 points at PVB -- woohoo!! We got a September UY as we typically travel in January. We'll likely add more via resale, but wanted to get that Blue Card.

In reviewing my documents, I noticed a potential discrepancy in the length of the cancellation window.

The Purchase Agreement says --
530663

But the Exhibit A says --
530664

Is this normal language, and I'm just misreading it?

I have a question out to my Guide, but thought I'd ask here as well in case somebody's run into this before. I have no intention of cancelling, but it struck me as very odd!

I believe FL law requires the 10 days so it does appear to be a discrepancy.

Why didn’t you get December use year? You’d get points for 2019 use year and then another 100 in December.

They won't sell December UYs right now, presumably out of concern for capacity. That's been reported on the forums, and I was told it was not an option by my Guide.

They do no always have points for every UY for sold out resorts and we have heard rumors that right now, they are telling buyers they don’t have Dec UY in stock for many of them.

Are you/were you in Florida when you agreed to buy? Different states have different laws and different rescission deadlines, and the applicable law may depend on where you were when you actually agreed to buy, not on the location of your home resort. Your guide should be able to clarify for you!

My guess is that Disney gives a minimum of 10 days, regardless of location, because they don't want that fight. If it's longer, I think they give you the longer date. E.g., I think if you purchased during the Alaska cruise, you were given 15 days.

No, I did it all over the phone from TX. Weird!

OK, so I got confirmation that the "sixth day" verbiage is legally required language for Texas buyers that they cannot modify, but that the 10-day window is honored regardless. All set - thanks!

Threaten to cancel, and I bet they come up with those December points.
