Direct Air Seat Selection

Hi there,

If you are flying Direct Air Airlines, and don't select the $10 per person seat selection option, how does it work at the airport?

Do you just check in when you check your bags and they will select a seat for you at that time? Or is there some other way they do it?

I asked that question when I booked our flights with Direct Air and that's exactly what they do. We have two small kids, so they said at the very worst they would seat us 2 and 2.

• Check-in is available 2 hours prior to departure at all locations.

I know that when we flew DirectAir last month, I was told to call them, on the phone, 24 hrs before departure to be sure there were no last minute changes. I also paid my checked baggage fees at that time...cheaper than doing it in person at the airport.
I did choose our seats when I booked though. I didn't want to wait until I got to the airport.
