My DH loves this ride, no clue why. It's ok, but doesn't break my heart if it's not operating. Even though I know what's coming, I'm the one in the ride picture looking like I'm sure I'm about to get eaten alive.

The last time we were there it wasn't the ride itself that bothered me. It was the crazy dad dragging his very terrified little boy, maybe 7 years old, onto the ride. He kept telling the kid it wouldn't be that dark or scary. I know that it wasn't my kid, so not my business, just not how I ever did things with my own son.

Dinosaur is so jerky and disorienting I can't even tell you what I saw during it. I hated every moment of it.

I don't know why, but this made me laugh.

I get motion sickness on spinning rides, airplanes, and sometimes in cars. I don't ever feel sick after DINOSAUR, but it definitely jostles you around as PPs have mentioned. Maybe I get less motion sick because my eyes are closed the whole time?

Yep. Our picture is DH and DD (5 at the time) laughing their butts off, and me screaming in terror and agony.

However, Indiana Jones is way smoother than Dinosaur. I could ride Indy several times, but I can only handle Dinosaur once or twice during a trip. The car goes fast over uneven terrain and then comes to complete sudden stops. It's very jerky and disorienting.

I found them to be about the same. Indy is rough in some spots. I do know that they did smooth Indy at one point a bit from its early days.

My DS5's favorite ride. In December we rode it 4 times in a row. In April 3 in a row. It is loud, it is jerky, there are stops and starts, it is dark and he loves every second of it. In April he gave the ride photo camera a thumbs up

Dinosaur is great.

Call me mean but I love getting on the vehicle and seeing unsuspecting young kids who don't know..then look terrified in the picture lol

That's true; however, it has the feel of uneven terrain. It's doesn't feel like you are going down a straight, smooth road. They move the car around with hydraulics to simulate the unevenness.

Thanks for all of the replies! It does sound like fun, so I might try it. I'll have to warn DS, though, as he gets carsick pretty easily.

It is rough, jerky, and loud but we love it and ride it every trip. Once my sister-in-law who wears a wig because of a childhood accident had her wig blown off by the dinosaur who lets out the big roar with a big swoosh of air ! It landed on the people behind her, she did get it back at the end of the ride. We still laugh about that !

I get all the time... motion sick watching tv, I ALWAYS drive vs hubby, wind in my ears makes me motion sick.... I LOVE dinosaur. I don't get motion sick at all!
