dinosaur ride:hated it

It was too loud and too jerky for me. My daughter, 5 at the time, spent the ride face down in my lap bawling the WHOLE ride. I also have cervical issues from a previous car accident. They normally do not bother me on any rides, but this ride I had SUCH a headache after that I believe it did affect me!!! Or was it the bawling child???? Guess I will never know.....

I got thrown around more on Primevil Whirl, now that's a ride I don't do anymore... but Dinosaur is great if you want less movement sit in the front row

I ride it with my family but if it were just me I'd skip it TOO LOUD and Too jerky. I get off with earaches every time!

I enjoy it...although I do feel sometimes the ride is more jerkier than others....

We rode it nov 27th trip and it stopped rioght in the middle of the ride "experiencing problems" and the emergency lights came on.

At first it was VERY dark! Now that was scary for a clautophobic like me...we had fun with all the people on the ride joking about Jurassic park and such.
It was down for a good 10 mins and it started up with a huge jerk, we wnet a little more and it shut down again for another 5 mins or so.

When we got off the cast members didn't say a word, no apology or anything!

and I agree it is a jerky ride, I found if I lean forward and hold on it doesn't hurt my back (which happend on our last trip)

so I say I like it and hate it too...

I kinda have mixed feelings about it. I am terrified of it, yet I love the whole being thrown around part (I'm an adrenaline-junky teen). Last May my friend and I rode it with our eyes shut and squeezing each others hands the whole time, but still wanted to do it again. My parents are getting sick of it though, saying it never changes......you don't notice if you never open your eyes!!!

We really liked it alot. I had to ride it again the last time I was there. It would be a must ride for anybody going to disney for the first time. Thats my 2 cents worth.

I'll pass too. Liked the ride as far as the dark, dinosaury parts, but didn't feel the need for all the bumps and jerks. My 4 year old was mad at me for talking her into it.

Yeah. My 33 year old was mad at me for talking her into it, too.

I am sorry to hear of all of you that did not enjoy it. This is my favorite attraction in AK. The dino at the end scares the poop out of me. The volume is a bit high, but I think that is to cover the mechanical sounds of the ride.

We love this ride I did not know so many people did not like it.


I also have a philosophy that it you wait in line for a long time for a good ride it becomes a so so ride and if you have no wait on a not so good ride it becomes not bad.

i've only ridden this once--and that was more than enough! it was scary!! (and i'm 23!) the bumpy/jerky stuff isn't so bad for me...it's just VERY dark and VERY loud.....

Dinosaur is my favorite ride in all of WDW. If it wasn't located in AK, then I wouldn't even bother to go to this park! Guess if we all liked the sames things, the world would be a pretty boring place (and crowded too!)

Same here! Dinosaur is my fav WDW ride! And now that EE is at AK, I have 2 reasons to visit AK.

I love Dinosaur. It's one of my favorites! I like the darkness and all the special effects.
