I haven't been to WDW in 3 years so I apologize if this is old news. But I just got back and during the Dinosaur ride, one of the last dinosaurs on the right (a type of Carnosaur), used to open it's mouth a give you a good scream. It used to scare the daylights out of whoever was sitting in the front right of the ride vehicle. However, on the trip, the dinosaur just sat there breathing. No movement, no roar, no scare. What happened? Is it malfunctioning? Did Disney change this to make this more kid-friendly? Gosh I hope not!

We have gone to WDW at least annually since 2010. I ride DINOSAUR! multiple times each trip because I like it a lot.

Our last trip in January I noticed the vast majority of animatronics were broken. In fact I'll go so far as to say that 80% of the dinosaurs are just sitting there not moving.

The ride was in such horrible shape I was shocked they allowed people to ride it.

Animal Kingdom is the land of the broken animatronic.

Weird, I was also there in late January / early February and it all seemed to be working fine, but I know I remember reading that they were working on the big screaming dinosaur at the end of the ride a little before I went there. I just hope they didn't actually intentionally remove the scream at the end.

I'm not sure about the scream, but I did notice this on our trip in March. By the end of the ride, I was so disappointed I really wasn't even paying attention because my sister and I were already discussing how bad the ride was.

I remember when we went May 2013. It was down for hours our day at AK! Very disappointing, especially because once it reopened, we had a much longer wait than usual. If they need to close for refurb for a time, I would not object..maybe some fun improvements ;)

That wouldn't be good as that is the point in the ride where they take the picture! Of course my family knows it's coming, but newbies don't, and it's always fun to see their reactions when it happens.

Everytime I went last year the huge Carnotarous head at the end just kind of popped out. Nothing else

When I went last month, all Dinos were fully working and at the end the head pops out, it roars, and lights flash on it. The one where it takes your picture roared and moved

So it's definitely improved and the ride is working at it's best at least since this past year. I'll be back in 1 week so I'm sure it'll be the same :)
